Total wine & more - more like Total dream come true! I love coming here and spending an hour browsing the aisles. They have any and all types of alcohol you're looking for. We recently went just before Christmas and they had a lot of great gift sets and boozy gift options that make for perfect hostess gifts and/or stocking stuffers during the holidays. I'm always putting random wines in my cart to try and love that they have a detailed description on all the wines, their score and also have a lot of "staff suggestions" that always turn out to be delicious. I've noticed that the variety of wines offered at Publix/Winn Dixie is very limited so it's great to come here and try different types and also stock up on favorites. I'm going to start this off with I enjoy going to total wine and for 2 years of going have never had a bad experience. I had a horrendous experience here today at check out. The other associates were amazing and overall very very helpful and nice. Although with Trey this where it took a turn for the worst. We went to check out and I was refused my sale because I (I am 23 for reference) and have sole guardianship of my younger sister. It's currently 88 degrees outside and I cannot leave her in the car so she came in with me. Trey proceeded to check my ID, asked about her and I explained the situation, then scanned everything and after all of this walked away and came back and said "I cannot sell this to you". I have no idea what changed in a matter of 10 seconds. But this has never been an issue before. I understand that it is a strange situation with my younger sister and guardianship, but honestly this is unacceptable by total wine as well as the employee Trey. Based on this experience I just had, I do not think I want to go back to total wine. read more

Total wine selection can not be beat for Daytona. The service was excellent. Fabian, forgive me on the spelling, was excellent in helping me find the perfect wine for Thanksgiving dinner! I took my mom here over the weekend because she had never been to one. She was REALLY impressed and we walked out with 4 bottles of wine! The prices were great, the selection was spot on, and the staff was super helpful. WOW! This is the size of a PUBLIX but just wine, beer and liquor (spirits). I was blown away my 1st time here and spent an hour just wondering around and having a few free samples. I ended up spending about $200 but I would have spent more at any other store that I used to go to for similar wines. I have friends who used to drive to Orlando and Jacksonville just to go to this store chain. Now I know why. The subsequent times I have visited have also been great with good customer service when I needed something's I was looking for. I will be returning again when I put on our home owners wine tasting events. I have not tried any of there classes or tasting but look forward to having time off to take advantage of them. read more

My only other experience with Total Wine & More is with the location in Jacksonville. The Daytona location is a bit smaller and has less selection, especially with beer and ale. The store is well kept and arranged pretty well, although a little less efficiently than the Jacksonville location. The checkout line was deep with customers in the 1 line open. This is a pet peeve of mine and Jacksonville has always opened additional lines as needed. At Daytona I watched a rep, maybe a manager, surf or view inventory on a screen in full view of the checkout line status as I stood in a line of 6 plus customers with several items. That is completely unacceptable. So a good location but with a few big opportunities for improvement. read more

This place is amazing. I'm not a big wine drinker, but thankfully there's more!! I'm in awe of their beer selections, especially the single bottles. I have easily spent half a hour there every time I go, sometimes more. They have their single beers sorted by country and also by style. I've found new beers and others that have been a while since I've seen them. As for the spirits side of the more, they have a wonderfully large selection of alcohol, mixers, and pre made cocktails. They have all the classics and the new age items you could want. They also carry the largest selection I have ever seen of alcohol nips. Great for trying new things. This store is actually really big and nice. the only problem I had was when my husband and I entered no one asked for I.D. i myself and a friend got some samples and gave I.D (my husband didn't want samples) when we went to checkout my friend and I decided we would get some small bottles and my husband decided he was going to get the car started and pick us up out front. He left and was Not asked for I.D as he left. My friend and I went to check out and got asked to present my husbands I.D and our sale was declined because we did not have it. I usually love this store chain, but this location has a weird vibe. Went in to buy spirits for a party - store was not busy and none of the employees welcomed me or asked if I needed help. It was hard to find an employee to tag down to ask for help finding some ingredients. I was ignored twice by two employees acting like they didn't hear me say "excuse me please" and by the time I ran over to the next isle, they were nowhere in sight. When I checked out, I put the basket of goods on the conveyor and there was no cashier. I went to ask the front desk lady for help and she pointed to a lady in the corner I had to ask to ring me up. The cashier looked at me, rolled her eyes, and let out a loud sigh. She then took out each item from the basket, insinuating with attitude that I should have done so, and then put them back on the conveyor before she walked the basket over to the basket area very slowly, before coming back to ring each item up like it was such a pain. She got frustrated with the computer because she entered her login credentials wrong a couple times. She was even more irritated when one of the tequila bottles didn't have a sku-number or tag so she then mumbled about something being ridiculous under her breath. She didn't say one single word to me as I stood there, not even hello back to me. If I was a corporate manager who had this experience, I would hope she get spoken to about her behavior. Was she hung over? Seemed like she was coming down from something! Does she deserve her job there? Not on this day. Did she ask for my rewards number? No. Really miserable person she was - I will be ordering online from now on since no one in store was able to help or seemed to want me there. I used to love going to this store but had a horrible cashier named Kayla that felt my need to keep my 5 liter mini kegs of Octoberfest HB from rolling around in my trunk by using a box was too much to ask even though I was spending some serious money. She actually told me to put the empty box back on the rack where customers are ALWAYS USING BOXES. Just me I guess. Maybe she didn't like the German Beer I was buying or something. Who knows. All I know is EVERY SINGLE TIME I BOUGHT LARGE ORDERS OF MULTIPLE ITEMS THERE, I WAS ALLOWED A BOX TO PUT THEM IN. A box! What the hell does an empty box cost them when I am spending hundreds of dollars? I'v had it with rude cashiers in these mega stores. I'm just going to stay with my local liquor store from now on. That cashier just made me feel like some total piece of garbage and treated me like crap with other customers behind me taking notice. She cared more about an empty box than a paying, loyal customer. The store in Daytona @ 2500 International Speedway has the WORST customer service and they are so rude!! I recently moved to the area and became an awards member so I could give them my business and get some discounted deals since I would shop there often. Today was my 3rd time at this store in 2 months. My second and third time coming I had a discounted coupon for items that I purchased. But, guess what? Their internet sucks in their store, and you cannot get online on your phone to download the coupon. After showing the cashier my member number and the emails I received of the coupons, they refused for the 2nd time (it happened the second time I was there as well) to give me the discount. They said, "I need to log into my account and download the coupon at home before I come to their store". WTF!! Who does that?? Every time I go to a store with a coupon on my phone they honor it. This store will NEVER get my business again! And, I will NEVER recommend them to anyone!! BEWARE!! read more

Total wine gave me a coupon last time I shopped the coupon said 15% off wine and 10% off spirits I bought spirits and gave them my coupon at the register and the cashier showed me the fine print that is only good for certain spirits which I wouldn't known ones the coupon was for. The coupon wasn't for a specific brand that is what made it confusing. Why hand out coupons if you have to be an employee to know what the coupon will work on all it does is piss off customers. The staff in this store does nothing but stand around and chat with each other in small groups. Customers? What customers? My experience with them as an independent wine event demonstrator has been overwhelmingly negative. They are unhelpful, snarky, and critical of me and the customers. I have overheard the store manager tell a customer he "couldn't wait to get out of this store" when his shift was over. This store is poorly managed and toxic.
