My daughters have been here for years both at the preschool, afterschool program and summer program, the staff has become family to us. It never feels like I am leaving them at school it feels like I am leaving them with a relative. The teachers truly care about the kids and but so much time effort and energy into the lesson plans and activities. Majority of the time when I go to pick them up they don't even want to leave which makes me feel great. The staff also does a really good job at communicating on dojo with pictures and updates on their day. If the kids get hurt playing they always do an amazing job at communicating that as well. This summer ms. Denise has taken them on so many cool field trips like the pool, the library the movies and the kids are really enjoying the summer. Updating review! My youngest son graduated from abc summer of 2024 and is currently in kindergarten. His 2 older brothers both went to abc for their preschool years. We had a 5 star experience for all of our children! Learning is fun, hands on, and developmental. The teachers are creative with their units of study, creating engaging activities, with an emphasis on social development. Families are welcomed during various school events throughout the year and field trips are top notch. Most of all the teachers, admin, and director Tayo love and care deeply for the children. My youngest had a severe speech delay and he received so much TLC. I cried on his last day hugging all his beautiful teachers. They will always hold a special place in our hearts read more

ABC preschool is one of the best preschools in Claremont. I am so thankful I found this preschool after trying a couple of others in the area. My son started attending when he was 2 and a half years old. He is 4 now and he loves his school and his teachers. He doesn't want to leave when I go to pick him up. Ms. Tayo (the director) is unprofessional & petty & doesn't care for the children's growth and development. The facility is operating out-of-accordance with state bylaws. Also, the 1:8 ratio boasted online is not factual and the children are left to run free without adequate supervision. This school is the bottom-of-the-barrel. My son just started kindergarten this week. We enrolled him at ABC for Me the week he turned two years old. Ms Tayo and her staff are remarkable. They are attentive, loving, and effective. I wondered what is the benchmark for a preschool. As this is our first and only child. At kindergarten, he is socially adjusted, plays well with others, understands the alphabet and can read sight words, can do addition and subtraction, and knows a wide range of topics that I would never have thought to teach him. The teachers and admin are really good at keeping parents informed in real time. The program is so popular we decided to enroll our son in the after school program called Heritage, which also provides pick up from elementary. The community of kids and parents is warm, cooperative, and focused on instruction and growth. The program has become extremely popular, so reach out early to ensure a placement. This review is looooooong overdue... Both of my children have attended ABC Preschool since 2015. They were 2 and 3 at the time when they started. I'll be honest, it wasn't my first choice, but affordability won out and ultimately, IT WAS THE BEST CHOICE WE COULD HAVE MADE!!! You aren't going to find the sparkly shiny like you do at other commercial locations, but man, they make up for it with love!!! My kids were cared for and they never wanted to leave when it was time to pick them up. At the time, their extended hours saved me. I worked long days in downtown LA and would often pick up close to closing, at 7!!! Nowhere is open until 7! Thankfully, I'm at a new job and no longer need the later hours. My kids are now 5 and 7 and I have them in the after school Heritage program offered here. They attend with many of the same kids they were in preschool with. To say that I've acquired a family is an understatement. A fellow ABC/Heritage mom refers to us as her "village", which is accurate. That feeling was fostered by the love and care our kids received and continue to receive throughout their time in these programs. As for the review that mentions lack of cleanliness....? In the 4 years we've attended, I've never once witnessed anything unsanitary. read more

Both of my children attended ABC for Me for their entire preschool years. My husband and I couldn't have been happier with our time at ABC for Me. Tayo and her team we the only people in Claremont agreeing to enroll one of our children who had yet to learn how to go the the toilet and needed diapers still during the day. The team are EXPERT in potty training and we are thankful to them for that accomplishment. We have very fond memories of all of the activities during which parents were more than welcome to participate. I would often stay a little longer in the morning just to enjoy more time, not with my children only, but with everyone in the center and look and listen to everything going on. My children who are now in middle school (took me a while to write this review) have the best memories of Tayo and all the caretakers at ABC for Me. They remember learning how to share, count, be kind, read, help, cook, garden, play in teams and get organized. They also ADORED the really large outdoor garden and space! Years later, we still go to the Christmas party organized every year and to this date consider Tayo and her team family. If we had to start all over, we would WITHOUT ANY HESITATION, leave our children in the care of this beautiful team. read more

First off, I want to thank Tayo and her staff for giving my son the best experience for his preschool years. When searching for a preschool back in 2016 other facilities didn't feel right. When I met Tayo for a tour I knew my son would be in a positive environment. Abc for me preschool is a great program because they offer the kids so much such as field trips, extra activity classes, class garden, class pet, healthy snacks throughout the day and tons of learning play time, which I loved. They were really helpful to my husband and I. I did not enroll my child because the lingo class playground is not fenced in. They use the public park playground thats next to it. I can't take the chance my child wanders off. It only takes a second. The class is mixed with kids ages 2-5 (20+ kiddos) with 3 teachers. Great preschool received recognition nationally. It's also accredited. I've worked with this preschool with my soccer business and have seen students first hand learn so much. The skills that they learn academically combined with their social skills are truly the difference between other schools. In the years prior to the 2010 opening of ABC and Me Preschool, I had the opportunity to work with Ms. Tayo and help with her vision of the school. After the school opened, Ms. Tayo moved forward to make sure that the school met curriculum for the children who would attend. Training and education requirements were implemented for the staff. Steps were met for the accreditation from the State of California. Over the years I have been privileged to meet with parents and hear of the joy and enthusiasm of their child(ren) while attending the school. Both of our daughters attended the preschool since they were two years old. As a household with two working parents it was a relief having ABC for me Preschool on our side. They provided us with many scheduling options and Tayo was always willing work with us. The teachers are caring, energetic and fun. They are creative with their curriculum and made learning exciting for the children. The extra activities they provide included field trips, celebrations of holidays throughout the calendar year including egg hunts, extravagant thanksgiving lunches, very memorable Trick or treating events and a massive year end Holiday celebrations. They also hosted yearly carnivals, father's Day and Mother's Day events. They had Friday movies and popcorn days and dance parties for the kids. They often invited fun guests to perform for the children. They host superhero days, crazy hair day, dinosaur day and pajama day, all for the kids to look forward to. They even had a bring your pet to school day once and a trike-a-Thon fundraiser. I can keep going but the activities are endless. In between all the fun the kids are learning and my daughters were more than ready for Kindergarten. Both of my daughters met their best friends here and they are still friends today. The flying out ceremony they host for the children is truly emotional. All of this is documented on a yearbook so you can have such amazing memories for years to come. How do we begin to express just how AMAZING ABC for Me Preschool is! They are simply incredible. First, the staff is top notch. They are well-trained, professional, caring, and compassionate. They go out of their way to: 1) create a safe, hospitable environment for kids; a diverse community of young kids eager to learn and engage; and, a sense of anticipation that fuels deep engagement and excitement for kids. Second, they communicate clearly and frequently with parents. Anything goes wrong, they communicate right away. Any new programs or extra activities, they share with parents promptly and clearly. Third, your kid will learn! My daughter is SO ahead in terms of comprehension and skills, and ABC for Me Preschool deserves most of the credit. The teachers are attentive and kind, and the tuition is incredibly reasonable due to an active parent board. 1 star for making accommodations to meet my needs and 2 stars for Ms Adriana. My daughter attended this school for 5-6 months. Within the first month, I was notified of my tuition being increased $55 a month. Pretty excessive. Ms Adriana is the only teacher there that actually talks to the children with some respect and compassion, I wish she was my daughter's teacher when she attended. I've witnessed teachers literally YELL at children there. Majority of the time when I dropped off, I wasn't greeted let alone even acknowledged it felt like. It's super unorganized and terrible communication there. I honestly didn't know who my daughter's teacher was for a few weeks because of how unorganized it was. The playground was blocked off the whole time my daughter attended so hopefully it's done now. They sure do ask for a lot of donations on top of tuition. Also, I had to provide snacks every month for the whole school and they didn't even allow me to just provide for my daughter, it had to be for everyone or $10 extra a month. It felt like a daycare more than a preschool. My daughter learned a lot the first few weeks but then it started becoming a place where she went to play for a while and that's it. read more

I used to work at this preschool from 2011-2014. I only separated from the agency due to needing to move for my husband's work. I would have stayed many more years if it had been possible. Tayo is a wonderful and dedicated employer as well as preschool director and advocate for children. She has kept enrollment costs reasonable so that more people could afford this great opportunity. The classrooms are well stocked with educational materials and the field trips are always enriching and support the curriculum objectives. Her staff is highly qualified and caring. My daughters went to ABC Preschool from the day they turned 2 until the day they started Elementary School. I picked this school after researching several schools in the area. I have to say that this school is amazing and really prepared my kids for elementary school. what I really like best is that it is not too structured and that gives kids time to be creative. my daughters went to the ABC preschool since they were 2 years old when they did not talk much and were in diapers. The school gave my girls an amazing experience and prepared them for their (big girl school) regular school. I researched a lot of schools before coming here, Ms. Adriana gave us a tour and Of course, we all fell in love with her, she is a good mix of the right amount of strictness and kindness.
