First of all, ABC must stand for ALWAYS BRING CASH! I almost gave this place two stars but my last experience sealed this negative review. Upon my initial visit I was greeted with an awkward and unclear explanation of the pricing. I selected a one hour massage, which was I believe $50 (fine price, but not $25 as the signage might lead you to believe). The masseuse continued in uncomfortable, awkward fashion by escorting me to the room and admonishing me multiple times "Everything but underwear!" "Don't take off underwear!" "You leave on underwear!" I think I actually had to say "Okay I get it." Anyway, she actually gave a pretty okay massage. Now my second visit was actually pretty decent. All went more or less as expected for this kind of place. The only hang up was the extra charge for not having cash on me (booo). So the third time I went I was again without cash and expected the fee, but this time I was told (not asked) to tip up front since they were charging the card. Then before I could even respond she says "Twenty dollar... minimum." Yes the "tip" that you are forced to pay upfront has a minimum amount. This is ridiculous. I decided to leave. Another woman came to try and persuade me to stay but I kindly declined. I decided to give this place one last shot, after all it is very close to my place and I did get that one good massage. On this last trip I was met with the same rude behavior as before. This time I had cash but decided to put the massage on my card anyway. When she got to the part about the tip I told I have cash that I'll use for the tip. and I was STILL TOLD to tip up front. I protested. She gave me the minimum and some dumb explanation. I explained to her that the tip is extra. It is supposed to be up to me based on my opinion of their service. She can't tell me how much to tip. If they want to get more money, they should just charge more on the actual price instead of trying to sneak in weird reasons to get more money out of you. So she argued and I just left. After a couple days out in the Indio Valley my body was just aching for some relief, and being a tad short on cash I immediately recalled this little parlor every time I stop by Peter's Gourmade. What made me bite the hook was there banner that said something along the lines of a $20 special 1-hour massage. When I stepped inside I was noted that it was neck and upper back only, but there was a $40 deal that was full body thai and at the level of soreness I was in I couldn't help but upgrade. One thing to note is that they charge you $2 for using your card, so BRING CASH. My room didn't feel so necessarily "private" as advertised, it was enclosed of by walls but it had an open portion in the ceiling that was right next to the entrance where I could pretty much everything that was going on outside. Personally I didn't care, but I note this for anyone particular person that happens to be picky. My massage experience itself was just what I need, I asked for deep tissue and damn was it deep tissue. My masseus worked her way deep into my muscle fibers that hurt oh so good in the end, especially when they do it by walking on your back. But after a nice rub down with some hot gels/ towels I felt fresh and relaxed only to be greeted with a nice cup of water on my way out. The reason I gave this place 3 stars is solely on the facility. Nothing against it, but it was just small and giving 4 stars would be unfair to the other upscale massage parlors in the same ratings category. As for my Massues she was definitely 4 stars, and for the amount of money I put down there's no way you can argue for the quality I got. After my usual reflexology place was too busy to take me, I decided to try ABC. I had a great experience. I don't understand why others have such bad reviews? ? This is a 25$ massage you're paying for...do you expect a high end massage parlor? And if the massage is too hard (like other reviews said), why the hell wouldn't you tell them to be more gentle instead of just dealing with it? Anyways, my massage was perfect. It's more like $62/hour and not $25/hr. The massage was good but everything else was not. The advertised price was $45/hr but they charged me $50/hr + $2 for credit card charge. Most interesting part of all, The lady doesn't have patience until I pull my wallet to give her tips She started to mention that she will not accept anything less than $10 as tip. No clue what the attendant was doing. I left with more ache in my body that when I got there. Had me lay flat belly side with my face dunked in that donut. I open my eyes and there were ball shaped dust(s) on the floor a foot literally away from my face (eeewwww). It was painfully exruciating as the attendant worked on turning my legs into a giant human leg bow. And here's what I really thought was a no brainer. When the attendant got to my feet, I could not care less anymore as I just want this done already and put this in my "this did not happen to me" box. Came here two weeks ago and had a great massage. Came back today and they couldn't take me but told me to come back in about 20 minutes. Well the first time i was there they told me to wait 15 minutes. i ended up waiting 40! Had an errand to run so made it back in 25 which i figured would be fine since they were so off on timing the first time. Horrible experience. I bought a gift card for $60 and they wouldn't honor it. They said they had just changed owners or some bs excuse, they pretended not to understand English so they called the so-called "manager" on the phone and had me speak to her, whoever it was on the phone that I was talking to was very polite and was trying to convince them to honor my gift card since I had purchased it there but they were being really rude and refused to give me my massage. After an hour of arguing about this they finally gave in and gave me my hour massage which was an absolute nightmare but I only accepted to receive it since it the money otherwise wouldn't gone to waste. They massage itself was horrible and you could immediately tell it was trash, by the way, as new costumers came in they stopped massaging me and went to the new costumer because according to them "they had priority since they paid", in the end I didn't care about the massage anymore and just walked away and they even had the decency to ask for a tip and I told them I wouldn't give them a tip for this garbage. Worst experience ever. They charge$25 for an hour. I go inside and ask for $25 massage. Go inside there are 5 beds line up. Lady start doing massgage her hand skin were very rough and massage was hurting v badly. I think she was trainer and not license. I was waiting for the time getover . Room was not cool and on the top they give you thick towel to keep . The whole massage i feel suffocate . Lot of talking disturbance ,hot no ac and on the top hurting massage . My girlfriend and I went in for a message over the weekend. We went there because we received a flyer advertising for a $20 message. The $20 message is done on a cot in the open so we opted for a private room message for $40. It was the most painful message I have ever experienced. The gentlemen actually made by back worse. He used his pointed elbows and stuck them in-between my joints. He did the same thing with his thumbs. The masseuse had no idea what was he doing. He also did chiropractic type adjustments on me like cracking my neck and shoulders. I repeatedly told him to mellow out but he would only slow down and start back up again. I should have just left at that point. My girlfriend's experience was not much better. They put lotion on her face which made her breakout and they also did chiropractic type adjustments on her, which was dangerous because she has back problems. In the end, her knots were just moved from one side to the other. She told me she did not receive the pointy elbow message. It's a newly opened business and it showed.
