I assumed the call dropped, so I called back and politely said, "Sorry, I think we got disconnected." Before I could even finish my sentence, he snapped "Can't help you" and hung up again. I called trying to find a quote for a vehicle and when I mentioned I was researching other possible places they dropped my price from $800 to $100 and told me the guy I was talking to before was new and it was the same guy then he was getting all mad at me saying "you said you were gonna call other places right? What did they tell you? " and I proceeded to apologize saying I didn't mean to upset him in any way and I was just doing research then he stopped talking and I assume I was muted. Judging ABC Salvage against other salvage yards I am now happy to give them a 5 star review. Back in 2012 when I was looking for parts for my 1997 Nissan Maxima the yard was absolute chaos and the people in the shack couldn't even tell you IF a particular car was on the lot, it was up to you to find it. When we were looking for Maxima parts we did indeed find 3 vehicles, but they were spread out across the far corners of satans *** hole and accessability was an issue. Now, in this, the year of our lord 2022, I was able to call the yard and ask if they had a Mazda 2 onsite as I needed a new door latch and some interior parts that have broken over time. The individual that answered the phone was not only able to verify that the car was on the lot he was able to inform me that it had been there for a year and that it was pretty gone over at this point. When we arrived at ABC and checked in the same individual was able to tell me EXACTLY where the car was "to the left 5 rows in". The lot is now orginized by make and model with wide asiles that make it easy to access each vehicle and the Mazda section was right where we were told it was. Sitting between a very sad Miata and a Mazda 6 was a 2014 2 that had seen better days. We were able to pull the parts and get on with our day without spending hours on the lot trying to find a tiny car among a 2002 freeways worth of vehicles. I still recomend that you bring a buddy, wear closed toed shoes and bring water. I sliced my arm open on the inside of that M2 so it might also be a good idea to wear long sleeves and ensure that you know when your last tetnus shot was, but that's all in the fun of coming out. ABC Auto Salvage is still very much a buisness that runs on common sense, any scrap yard is dangerous so don't leave your brain at home. If you have the tools and the knowhow to remove parts from cars I strongly recommend the new ABC Salvage yard. read more

ABC Junkyard. Talk about sketchy! But don't let that get in the way because it'll be worth it at the end. I tried to come here over ten years ago, and I got lost and went into the wrong driveway. Ten years later I have a new car and it doesn't come with a spare tire, nor a jack, and wheel wrench. It comes with a one time use Tire Sealant and Inflator Kit. I was extremely surprised by this. I rather have a spare tire than that kit. I've had a run of bad luck with nails and screws getting into my tires and even blew a tire out while driving. I literally changed to the spare tire six times in a three week span. Finding the car jack and wheel wrench, and the whole spare tire kit was easy. The problem was it didn't come with the spare tire itself. I had to find one, or order one online and pay a crazy amount for shipping. I thought it'd be easy to find one at a junkyard as I did my research and a lot of other vehicles use the same size spare tire. Oddly enough, I struck out at several places, and remembered this junkyard. ABC Junkyard is located in Pearl City at the end of Lehua Street, right hand side. It's right before you enter the military housing. Look for the black sign with the colored ABC logo, and take the DIRT road. Don't take the next paved driveway. The dirt road is the correct entrance. As you drive in, it definitely looks super sketchy with a small homeless encampment on the side of the road. You see broken, stripped down cars along the way. You begin to wonder if this is some sort of chop shop as the homeless outside steal and strip the cars and then sell it to ABC. I can't make that claim, but it's just the vibe I got based on what I'm seeing as I'm driving down. Continue driving all the way till the end of the road. Also, please make sure your car hasn't been just washed or too low to the ground as this dirt road is very bumpy and a lot of dirt comes up. My car was caked with dirt when I got there. After arriving, I walk up the ramp and to the office where a man asked me what I was looking for. I needed a spare tire and have him the size and number from what I researched online. I felt joy when he said he has that size somewhere and he came out and began to search through stacks of tires. Initially, he didn't feel the size I gave him was correct based on the size of my regular tires, but I asked him to check and see because I'm not sure. He spent a lot of time digging out the tire and when he found it, we went to my car to compare the size, and the spare tire was indeed much smaller than my regular tires. If I had to drive on that spare, my car wouldn't be level and probably have too much pressure on it. I asked him what can we do and to help me find one that fits better. He happily went to look for one, and after a while, he popped out with a bigger spare tire, and this one matched exactly. How wonderful! Seems like you don't go get your own parts now, which is probably for the better. I'm not sure if it's new owners, but the customer service was excellent. The guy helping me was extremely helpful, professional, courteous, and worked hard to go through so many tires just to get the right one for me. I heard him speak Cantonese to another guy. I thought about switching over from English, but we already established our conversation in English, which he spoke very well. I wonder if I could've gotten a Cantonese discount haha. But the price was reasonable, and he worked diligently to get this tire for me. Overall, I was surprised and satisfied with the service at ABC Junkyard. The trek through the eerie and daunting dirt road was worth it. Even if my car became incredibly dirty. Sprays right off with water. It wasn't what I was expecting based on the reviews and previous experiences at other junkyards. I'll definitely come back if I ever need a car part, but I don't expect to or expect they even have it as my car is relatively new. read more
