Adam sent me a quote and options for replacement. It turns out it is a much bigger project than I anticipated. Realizing this Adam could have easily left it in my court to figure out but he took the time to explain and offer other ideas for repair or replacement. I was very impressed with his knowledge and experience and willingness to assist me.

We had serious drainage issues before, with water pooling in the yard, but their design completely solved the problem - everything drains perfectly now. There were a couple of small issues during the project, but they came back out quickly and made sure everything was perfect. The final result looks great, functions even better, and we're very happy. We'll definitely have them back for future work!

However, about 6 months after the patio was installed, we started to notice that the added color to the stamped patio was slowly flaking away. I reached out to Teo weeks later about it and he promptly came out to take a look, and said he'd get back to me as to what we can do. Since then, responses have been VERY slow, I constantly follow up without response and then when I do, no actions come from it. There was likely an issue with the material when pouring that wasn't originally noticed, but that is not my fault and I didn't pay thousands of dollars to have a sub par patio. The only suggestion from Teo was to cover the patio with Flagstone, which material alone would cost more than the full patio. I know it's a bad situation, but ignoring your customers texts and calls over and over again, just to pretty much say "Good luck" is a horrible business model. I'd recommend going elsewhere for more accountability, because now that's what I have to do to fix my problem.

Residential Contractor assistance in the current Raleigh building boom is suspect, at best so, honestly, I was still suspect. Tar Heel Basement scheduled me, but I'd called back needing next day inspection in attempt to fix a tile issue. No problem, they'd said.. so they sent someone from their other operation to support me. Me! Thank you Tar Heel Basement Systems, for focusing on the customer and building a capable brand. Tar Heel Basement Systems representative met me onsite and we reviewed the area. He not only looked at the area in that part of the house, but advised me on my crawlspace and the other floors in the house. I could not have been more impressed. In the end, the gentleman said, "Sir, you're in good shape here, you have a clean bill-of-health". Perfectly done - Thanks Tar Heel, for your professionalism and swift support. Had this been my own General Contractor, or one of the many subs... well, I have no doubt that I would have instead been quoted a large-sum. Thank you, Tar Heel Basement Systems. Professional. Realistic. Honest. Ethical.

Fast forward to now: They reached out saying that they wanted to come out to inspect their work from last year. Turned out it was just a sales pitch try to sell us more product. The sales person pointed out some shoddy work and said they would repair it under warranty. Now, crickets. We played phone tag for a while, but now they just won't reply. My issue is the dishonesty of claiming they wanted to "inspect their work" to make a sale, then run away when we ask them to make good.
