The owner does not return emails or phone calls. I left detailed messages on both his web site and voicemail and never received a response.

Patio Enclosures called us and told us the project was complete.  When my wife got home, she found 2 of the 4 doors would not close or latch, none of the doors would move smoothly on the tracks. There were metal shavings all over the floor and under the clear sealant/caulk they applied around the perimeter of the floor.  Many of the pieces were scratched.  The screens were loose and damaged in several places.  Two trim pieces had the paint scraped off and were down to bare metal.  The trim pieces at the bottom were installed incorrectly and looked terrible. They also just threw their debris in my yard and did not pick it up. I contacted my sales rep and Gavin, the Operations Administrator, to complain.  Gavin told me he would be sending out a supervisor named Ricardo. Ricardo arrived and told me the team that did the install was one of their better teams.  He went on to say this was partially my fault for not being home.  He explained that had I been home, they would have finished and done a better job.  WHAT??  He agreed to replace 1 screen door, one handle, and made arrangements to have a new team come out on Saturday to complete the job and fix the issues. Saturday morning a supervisor named Dave (very good) showed up along with the original team.  I called Ricardo and reminded him our deal was that a new team was to come out. He said if I wanted the job finished, that would be the team to do it.  I refused.  He said he would not argue with me. If I wanted it done, I had to let them do it.  I refused and told them to get off of my property.  Ricardo tried to force me into using the same people that botched the job the first time.  Dave did about an hour's worth of work and fixed several issues.  Dave, who is an employee of Patio Enclosures, informed me that Ricardo was not able to make any decisions for Patio Enclosures as he was just a subcontractor.  I found out later he was actually the owner of RZG, the subcontractor who's team did the poor install that left the job unfinished but claimed it was complete.  I called Tim, the local manager, Monday, to complain.  He told me one of Ricardo's install team members had been terminated and the other disciplined per his request.  Remember, this was one of their best teams according to Ricardo.   For the next week a couple more miscommunications.  I then escalated to Jordan who oversees North and South Carolina.  To my surprise, he had not been informed about much of what had happened and was very disappointed to hear about it. He was very apologetic and assured me he would resolve all issues to my satisfaction. My sunroom was finally completed due solely to Dave of Patio Enclosures personally supervising a second team of installers and instructing them on how to do parts of the install.  Without Dave we would still have issues. Regarding my personal experience with Ricardo, the owner of RZG, their contracted installer, I found him to be rude and very unprofessional, amongst other things.  His first team of installers did a very poor job and left the job incomplete, hence the reason one was terminated and the other disciplined.  Two of my neighbors had different installers assigned to their projects and their installers did a great job.  They did not have a single issue.   Regarding my experience with Patio Enclosures, some good and some bad.  Dave is excellent.  The product is good. They seem to have some internal miscommunication issues going on and I question their selection and oversight of subcontractors.  I cannot understand how they can allow a subcontractor to treat a customer of theirs so poorly and behave so unprofessionally.

He sat in my house, started a recording without notifying either myself or my husband that we would recorded. As we wrapped up the scope of work, Frank showed me the picture below and said, "Your porch will look like this excepted the pitched roof". And then he sent me a contract for $30,000 that I signed without having an attorney review for complete scope and it didn't have all the costs in it to make the exterior of my porch look like the one in the picture, but how was I supposed to know that, I'm not a construction expert. I believed in Frank, I trusted him and now I am being threatened by the regional manager, Jordan, with defamation law suit. I spoke the truth and somehow this is defamation? Frank lied to my face in my own home, these people refuse to acknowledge their mistake and all this misery and bad feelings over someone who tried to bring in a deal by promising one thing and only writing the contract for the dollar amount he told me it would be. He knew that to achieve the complete look and feel he promised me it was going to cost more than he quoted and rather than picking up the phone to admit there was a mistake, he did what he had to get the deal done. And then, then they send out a work crew who doesn't speak a word of English. And they try to replace the original stairs for the screened in porch from the yard with only 3 risers when it technically needed 4, but that would require a handrail by NC building standards, so they tried to cheap out. I had to pay out of pocket to have another contractor do the work that should have been part of the deal. There is NOTHING I am saying that is not true. Never do business with this company. I'm not the only one.

Common theme here with Four Season Sunrooms of Raleigh…read more Bob Gustavson came to our house and we signed a contract on 12/14/2024 for a Four Season Sunroom and a deck. Bob explained that the work should commence in April of 2025 and be completed by end of April 2025. Total job of $65K (10x18 deck and about 13x15 sunroom, just for reference in case anyone wants to know) $18K down payment. Initial framing and demolition started relatively on-time on April 14, 2025. (The workers left the job site a mess, concrete junks left out, 6 full concrete bags left in the driveway on a pallet, dirt piles left in yard that as of June 28th has still yet to be cleaned-up. Grass is now grown over the dirt piles.) End of April came and that is when the delays, lies and excuses began. Upon inquiry to Bob Gustavson, I was given excuse after excuse. Turns out at the end of April, the material for the sunroom had not yet even been ordered?? Another 3-4 weeks. Throughout the month of May no activity was done on the project. Despite continued calls to Bob and empty promises and continued convenient excuses of "rain" is causing delays. We are still (as of June 28th) wondering if the sunroom portion of our project has even been delivered. We continue to be lied to and hearing Bob say that the workers will come out and once they start, the project will be completed in two weeks. Friday, June 6th, Bob tells me the workers will come out first thing Monday morning June 9th. The workers come out on Monday, work for about 1 hour and then leave and do not see them for the rest of the week. You can see from pictures, when the workers started the deck, they took off the siding and now the house is exposed to the elements. Very shoddy work The week of June 23rd, the workers finally come out to start the deck (which should have been the easiest part of the project) and to our astonishment and my wife's disdain, the wrong Trex decking was put down. We had ordered the Biscayne (which was a higher quality product) and Bob Gustavson took it upon himself to order and install the Pebble Grey (two graded lower quality) When we questioned Bob about why the wrong Trex decking was installed he claimed the other color was no longer available. I called Trex and that was a lie, it is readily available. So Bob took it upon himself without consulting with us to install inferior product. The product we chose was written into our contract. So right there, that is the kind of person you are dealing with if you contract with Bob Gustavson and Four Seasons Sunrooms of Raleigh. Bob offered a "discount" for the decking debacle, but it was a low ball offer to try and appease us. Not acceptable. Buyer beware when dealing with Bob Gustavson and Four Seasons Sunrooms of Raleigh. It is obvious that this company has some cash flow issues. Hence the reasons for the constant delays, they cannot work because they need to wait and get money from another client to finish jobs. Bob even admitted to me via text at 12:59pm on Friday, June 27th that "I'm Broke I can't afford it" when asked for a larger discount in regards to the Trex decking debacle. As of this review, the sunroom is not complete, the deck is not complete the yard is a mess.
