When I called Cara PVD and asked about getting my walls textured and painted, Jimmy told me he was working on a home not far from me. He told me to drive over and look at the work he was doing. Edwin was supposed to complete the job on a Wednesday. He asked if he could reschedule, which was fine with me, and we agreed on that Saturday. Saturday came and went with no communication, even though I texted him. On Sunday, he apologized and rescheduled me for the following Wednesday. I am flexible and I was okay with the changes. He showed up around 9:30am with another worker. The job included priming and painting two small areas on the kitchen ceiling, caulking and filling about 10 cracks in the stucco of the exterior of my home, and painting the front side of two exterior doors. The job took nine hours on Saturday and an additional 4 hours on Sunday. There were multiple issues with the job done by Edwin's workers (not him). The main issue is that they didn't properly prep the home for work. When they "finished," there was paint splatter all over my kitchen stove, my toaster oven, the floors, and caulk on my carpet. The tape they used also tore off the adhesive of the weather stripping on my front door. After completion, they had to re-sand and fill scrapes on the doors, which were supposed to be done in the first place. There were also paint drips thay needed to be sanded and repainted. There was caulk over my pavers that I was told wasn't caulk before it was finally cleaned properly. There was also a language barrier so I had to text Edwin the issues and he had to call the workers to explain. I was told to "be patient." While I can't speak for the quality of work Edwin himself does (because he didn't personally do the work), I was disappointed overall. When I expressed such, Edwin told me he wished me the best of luck in whatever company I use next and sent me the total bill (which is what was agreed upon). After I paid, he asked what he could have done better and asked me not to leave a negative review. My review isn't negative, it's honest.

Despite being structurally sound, it was an eyesore. We had put off a ceiling repair because we had a large piano that was in the way. Once we sold our piano, we knew it was time to fix this issue. The original installers came to fix it but were completely unwilling to take extra precautions to protect our wood floors. Additionally, they refused to remove can lights and our fan. We thought all hope was lost until my husband found Gared Drywall and Painting. Not only did Edgar and Eric spend two days prepping our worksite, but they took the extra step to purchase wood sheets to lay down over the brown paper to avoid floor damage. I have never seen a team care this much about the prep work. They removed and replaced our lights too! Our ceiling looks brand new and the post job clean up was top notch. They even went to purchase a Bona wood floor mop to do a final clean for us. Edgar and Eric not only did quality work, but they finished a full day early and left us a pristine room to move our furniture back into. The price was very fair for the intense work needed to work on a ceiling 20 feet tall!! Please do not book with another drywall company until you meet with the team at Gared. 10/10 would use them again.

Had a whole-house repipe done (polybutylene pipe) that left 30 8"x8" holes in four rooms. Edgar and Michael were professional, worked clean, worked hard to get my drywall project completed on time and within the original scope. They lied nonstop and brought in unlicensed subs. The city issued a stop work order and I had to hire a real licensed contractor to recover the job and pull permits, the project was at a standstill for a month. I fired them half way through the bad paint job and they just walked out on the GC today because of their total lack of organization, skill and ability to finish anything. There is no accountability for anything, it's always someone else's fault. Don't let the name fool you. Bad painters, they're not licensed to remodel. Horrible experience.
