Goodness, a store like ABC is dangerous for my wallet! I stopped by at the crack of dawn and spent $100. They honestly carry a great variety of products from ready made food (can't forget the musubi) to local alcohol and slippers. Parking might be hard to find so come early. read more

Grabbed some bandaids for my poor feet that have been blistering with this hot heat and the walk along Ali street, along the water. Cool ac blowing, touristy schlock for days, conveniently located off the main strip. What's not to love. The only thing is that if you're not walking on the main strip wanting to duck in than don't try to get here. Parking isn't really easily available for a quick stop in for aspirins or something like that. Strictly for tourists walking the area. read more

There's a lot of these ABC stores scattered throughout Kona, and they're so wonderfully clean and convenient, I wish we had them back home! Granted, they're probably be a lot lighter on tropical-themed souvenirs, but everything else would make them a welcome competitor to the run down Plain Pantry's and 7-Elevens back home. With its doors flung open to the warm, tropical air, and a view of the Pacific right out front, this particular location on Ali'i Drive was our favorite of them all. Although, each one we visited (this location more than the rest) is a true one-stop shop for drinks, snacks, liquor, over the counter meds, clothing, accessories, and enough tchotchkes to take home and lie to your friends that you spent a bunch of time coming up with gift ideas. I expected prices in Hawaii for simple sundries to be much more expensive than I encountered here, which was a pleasant surprise, although somehow we still spent about $30-$40 bucks here per visit, because we have no self-control! Great place for tourists and locals alike to grab what you need and get going right back to the beach, the hotel, or the airport to catch your flight home (boo!). When it comes to picking a truly convenient convenience store in Kona, your choice is as easy as ABC! read more

Great place to pick up goodies in Kona. Chocolate covered macadamia nuts make a great souvenir for friends and family back home. Prices are reasonable for this Hawaiian chain and they were even open during the 40th Ironman. read more

Parking is available on the street along Alii Drive. Came here to get some water. I like how their products are reasonably priced compared to other chains such as 7-Eleven.
