$8 for 2 "chicken" tacos. Hardly any meat. Their photos they have online definitely aren't this! All cheese. Asked for tomatoes and didn't get any. Rice was good so there's that.

I love me some Abelardo's! This time I tried the Adobada burrito. It was lunch rush and I was on my lunch break so I got it togo. The service was awesome and very friendly. I do enjoy exploring the menu and trying new items. Most of the time I enjoy the meal. But today was not a hit for me. The adobada meat wasn't great, real tough and grisly. Also it was a big mess. Real juicy and leaked a whole lot. Not great for eating on the go at all haha but I'll still be back to try others or my go tos!

You know those little places you drive by all the time but never go into? This is one of those places for me, so when a buddy suggested we try it I jumped at the chance. I entered with low expectations and it's probably a good thing I did. VERY small dining area with 8 monitors for the menu. It was overwhelming so I just asked for a chicken burrito with beans and rice. He upsold me to the #7 which is two beef or chicken burritos with sides of beans and rice. I also ordered a fountain drink, and because I didn't specify a size he entered a large, which I assume is sales 101 in the fast food industry. Well played. The gentleman taking orders was doing so for the drive through as well as walk up so when I thought he was talking to me...he wasn't. When I made light of it when he WAS talking to me, he didn't crack a smile at all. A few minutes later they called my order: "Number seven, two chicken burritos!" but when I bit into my burritos they were beef...well, mostly refried beans, but there was some beef too. Honestly they were still tasty. I like beef too, so I just ate them, but as others have noted apparently you never know what you're going to get. Good luck! LOL

Great variety of Mexican food, you'll feel at home if you're a Mexican feeling homesickness, otherwise you'll enjoy a new world of spicy and colorful food and the most important your stomach will feel over satisfied

This Abelardo's is my go to place when I want fast food but not too fast because they prepare everything fresh. The drive thru is a little tricky for those with a manual car because of the incline so prepare for that. I have a hard time not ordering anything but their Beef Fajita Burrito because they are so good and large. It could last for two meals. But the other day I ordered their Super Fries and was not disappointed. You get a layer of fries then several layers of sauces, guacamole, salsa then it is topped off with el carne beef. Talk about several meals in one. I live relatively close by, have tried other locations, but still believe this is the best location. I can't tell you how many times I have checked in here, but I have returned here dozens of times. I really need to look at their menu because you have so many options to chose from, you will not believe how many options you have.

Don't bother with this location. Go to 84th and Park Dr. You've been warned!

Abelardo's is great food. This location however, should be leveled for more dry cleaner parking space. They have mop handles securing the front doorway shut. The drive thru is so dilapidated that it resembles a war torn, back alley in the Middle East. Pot holes are so big that you could swim laps in them. The drive thru window is about 8' in the air and the curb sticks out about 2' so bring a long reaching, hook tool to properly retrieve your order from the employee in the window. The order taker doesn't speak, he or she will simply grunt noises that I haven't fully deciphered yet. And when you get home and tear open your food bag, It's like Christmas seeing what you actually got. It's never what you ordered but it's definitely of Mexican cuisine descent. Do yourself a favor and don't even make eye contact with this location. Go to the 84th and Park Dr. location. It's like 2 miles away and 1000% cleaner, friendlier and the dining area is actually used for dining, not a janitors closet.

It's super cute inside, with so many bright colors, neat Día de los Muertos murals along the walls, colorful pendants strung on top of the dining area, and a very cool bar with a patterned, arched shelves. Even the dishes and cups are fabulous, with earthenware mugs, blue Talavera style dishes and bowls, and even branded El Milagro margarita glasses. Now more importantly, the FOOD is just as good as the decor and the dishware. They use extra high quality ingredients, and everything is always served hot and fresh. We have had the birria, nachos, street tacos, flautas, and so many other things when we branch out and try something new. Their drink options are also great, with strong margaritas, crisp cervesas, and tasty cocktails. The service is always fantastic, and they are always hopping with customers, so you know you found a good spot. Best of all, you get pretty large portions, and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg like some of the newer Mexican restaurants in town. Next time you're thinking about heading to the Texas Roadhouse area, skip the Roadhouse and try El Milagro instead! I guarantee you will not regret your decision.

When we walked in it seemed like our server was the only one there working - drinks took a while to arrive and didn't come as pictured on the passport but were still good. I got the Barria taco meal and never received my rice that went along with it, ended up being fine I was full but could have taken for leftovers. Plenty of tables and cute decor. Overall, the food was the star of the show and our waiter got the job done with our large party it was just slower service than I was hoping for an early off peak meal. Worth it to come in expecting slow service to get a good meal imo!

This last visit they had the entire restaurant decorated for Valentine's Day coming up. But, besides the additional decorations the overall vibe is what you would expect for a Mexican restaurant but more. The service has been friendly and fast! The original Margarita is very good and for the price its about 3 servings. The complementary chips & salsa is great and more of a forgotten service nowadays, but great to see that Alegre is still doing it. The homemade tortilla chips are so good so be careful to not fill up on these before the main entrees. Kendra got the Chile Verde which was massive and was enough food for leftovers the next day. And, I had the Ceviche Sampler which is new and definitely worth every penny! It's hard to find restaurants that have ceviche on the menu, but this has been one of my favorites if you love seafood and a repeater for me! The servers were very friendly and was able to help out when we had questions. The place itself was very well decorated and didn't seem cluttered.
