Luckily AAA was able to get a hold of Valero Bros Towing. We worked with William aka Memo and he was a lifesaver! AAA made an appointment for the next morning for Valero Brothers Towing. The company excepted the tow and the terms of an appointed 8am-9am tow time. I received a call from the towing company telling me they would in fact be there to tow me the following morning but a more realistic time was 9, 10 possibly 11 am because they have other customers to service and it gets busy on a Friday. I told him that was fine because what else am I supposed to say, I'm stranded and in desperate need of a tow. I got a text asking if my vehicle was a 2 wheel drive or a four wheel drive, I answered the text , that was 9:27 pm (night before the scheduled tow). The morning of the tow I didn't get the usual AAA ETA text or a confirmation of any kind. This prompted me to call the Valero Brothers towing because cell service is spotty and I wanted to ensure I didn't miss a call and they were in fact on their way. I called to confirm and the man on the phone kept saying "umm yeah, well ummm" then he finally got out the time and told me for sure 11:30 he would be there to tow my vehicle. Around 9 am or so AAA called me and asked me for the status of the tow because they said the valero brothers towing company went unresponsive to my tow. At that point I was panicking. After what was around 20 back and forth calls later from AAA I found out this company dropped my tow and returned it to the AAA system so AAA would be forced to find another one. I found this out well after11:30. *I believe this situation is called a late drop violation within the AAA system.* It was mid day on a Friday if they started a new search, it still takes around an hour and a half up to sequoia and the same back, not to mention around 3 hours to the destination. I was losing time, daylight and options. This company didn't even have the balls or decency to call and say they didn't want to tow me/ couldn't tow me/ literally no notice! They ghosted me and AAA. This put me in a horrible spot and I had to eventually pay to get out of Sequoia. Stay away from the Valero Brothers at all costs!!! I read other reviews while waiting for them to answer and others said they were abandoned by them as well.

The rack is by the waiting area, so you can literally watch everything he does. Called around to a bunch of companies and he was the only one willing to come ASAP, before it got too late. He even picked up while he was having dinner with his family, heard his kids in the back and everything. He gave a specific timeframe, reasonable quote, and kept in contact with me the entire wait. Most, if not all, repair shops were closed. The ones that were open weren't picking up their phones, so we were scrambling to figure out what we were even going to do after the tow. He had everything covered. He referred a repair shop that could get the car checked out by the morning. And he even offered to drive us to our AirBnB, drop off the car at the shop, and pick us up at the AirBnB in the morning to get us to our car. Unbelievable. I called at least 10 towing companies and repair shops. If Omar wasn't willing to come, we would've been up in the pitch-black mountains deep into the night and definitely would've had to pay several hundreds more. He was a godsend. Not even gonna lie, I'm gonna remember Omar forever. You don't meet a lot of genuinely good-hearted people like him. "Above and beyond" doesn't even describe his service. We were facing 3 different crises and he could've helped out with 1, got his money, and headed home to his family. He could've helped out with 2 and done us a big solid. After waiting on the phone for a half hour, he gave me an estimate of more than $1800 to replace the timing belt. I thanked him and said goodbye. Then I called Mark Sesson at KINGSBURG AUTO and asked him if he could replace the timing belt on my car. I had been in earlier that day for an oil change, so he had all the information on my car in the computer and he told me he would check out what's involved along with the cost and call me back. He called me back within 15 minutes and let me know that I was "one of the lucky ones." My car did not have a timing belt but rather a chain, which means it never has to be replaced.
