We were referred to a speech therapist by our pediatrician as my son has speech delays. We saw Mrs. Chris, and all she did was talk about her granddaughter. Literally, everything out of her mouth after we spoke about a concern was "well when my granddaughter was little..." The only interaction she actually had with my son was when she was reprimanding him for opening the cabinets in her room. She didn't even attempt to work with him. He sat on the floor and played with a toy while she talked about herself. I am not sure if this is a common practice since it was our first time seeing any type of specialist for my son, but it was extremely aggravating. She then proceeded to tell us that he does not qualify for care there because he "technically falls under what is normal" and then we were shoved out of her office because she had another child coming in "at any minute". We will be requesting a referral to see a different S.T because this did not seem normal to me at all.

BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE!…read more They insisted that they permitted to copy and Store a copy of my photo ID! They denied me services unless I would allow them to do so. They preconditioned my accessing their services on requiring me to relinquish my ID for them to copy in store! Nothing requires, allows or authorizes them to do so, particularly denying me access to the services that I have a right to. I invoke the ADA and asked for an accommodation due to disabilities. Again another business that didn't know their obligations or my rights under Title III of the ADA, or chapter 760 of the Florida statutes a.k.a. the Florida civil rights act! They were required to accommodate me, or to issue a decision in writing, stating how my request fundamentally alter the nature of their services, and to offer me effective alternative accommodations, so that to the maximum extent possible, I could participate in and enjoy the benefits of their services! They did absolutely nothing but unilaterally deny my request, and therefore denied me ready, full, equal, independent, and dignified access to the services and the opportunity to participate in and enjoy the benefits therefrom. Furthermore, I asked to meet with a manager and sat there in the reception area for 20 minutes and no one came so I left. 28 CFR 36 or 42 USC 126 Subpart III and Chapter 760, Florida Statutes applies to all businesses a.k.a. public accommodations. Know your rights. Look up the definition of disabled under the ADA, and you may just meet the definition and be able to invoke. The ADA is Protections and prohibitions. Always invoke the ADA and FHA, fair, housing, act, early and often. Then there is the section 504 of the rehabilitation act which applies to all public entities that receive federal funding that is comparable to the Protections in the ADA.

The last time I was there I sat in the waiting room for 30 minutes past my appointment time. I was the only one waiting; I saw a couple of patients leave after finishing their therapy. I saw the manager go in and out of her office, never acknowledging I was even there. The receptionist was nice, apologetic, tried to help, but I finally walked out. I worked in healthcare for over 30 years and I could not not have been less impressed. If you need PT, go somewhere else.

This facility and its therapists vastly exceeded my expectations. They are very patient, caring, and professional! They are flexible in scheduling. The facility is very clean and equipment is sanitized after each use. I got take-home copies of the exercises so I could practice at home. I highly recommend AventHealth Sports Med & Rehab! They were arrogant and condescending, including the front line people (the receptionists). They treated the patients as if they themselves, being healthy, were better than the patients. They treated the patients as if they were lying. The patients are spending their time exercising There....WHY would they go there to waste their time and money, just to LIE??????????????? Nobody likes to waste their time nor throw their money away. These therapists need to respect the patients, help them, trust them and MOST importantly ....BELIEVE THEM!!!!! I felt that our baby was being handled with care. We were given clear directions and were even allowed to record the session! The office was very clean & they even offered complimentary coffee/tea/flavored water, etc. The price was very reasonable, and I felt we got our money's worth out of the appointment. It felt like a genuine experience and I'm thankful for direction on how we can help our baby at home with exercises.

My baby was eight days old when we visited Dr. Beckman. He did not have a consistent latch and was…read morestarting to lose weight. Thus, we started to bottle feed with donor milk. I was very concerned that he would not Want me after receiving a bottle. Dr. Beckman was cheerful, humble, knowledgeable and very positive that 1) baby was born knowing how to latch on to me...we just needed to remind him. And 2) baby should have no problem switching back-and-forth between nipple and bottle it was just a matter of strengthening the muscles that were weak. That was such a relief for a first time mommy. She went though a series of simple tests and gave us exercises to practice. Three days later he had his first decent latch. And ever since then it's been getting better and more consistent with longer stretches of time. We are not even two weeks since our visit with Dr. Beckman and today we've done more breast-feeding than pumping! Dr. Beckman and associates are professional, friendly, and prompt. Her process is backed by science and research, and carried out with kindness and compassion. I would highly recommend this office. Baby and I are forever grateful.
