I was so delighted that she had the house that I just headed right over to purchase it, regardless of price. When I arrived, she seemed extremely uninterested at first, but stated she would find out the price of the hous for me. After I looked at it, I had decided to purchase it, and I told her I would like to load it in the car. She became very distraught and angry Stated that she had told me to call back in 30 minutes because it would take a long time for them to prepare the house. She said that they would need to dismantle the display and it would not be ready until tonight. I told her I'd driven 40 minutes just to pick up the house and I would actually help her dismantle everything from insideif it would allow for me to get it sooner. By the way, there was only a few toys and pluses in the house. The picture is provided for everyone to see that it would only take 3 minutes to remove the items from inside! She then told me that she was very busy and I needed to calm down because she is verybusy and understaffed, and that she needs to check out everyone else in line first and I needed to step aside. She replies in a very mad way I told you to call back in 30 minutes!!!!! I reminded her kindly that she asked me to call back For the price, and I headed over because the price did not matter. I was embarrassed and humiliated, I then decided to walk away and let her check out all the other people in line. When she had done that, I came back to tell her I would help her dismantle the area for the house and I wanted to see what she could do for me. She was clearly walking past me ignoring me for a while and then she came and told me "now do you see what I just said,when we are extremely busy! She was so angry with us. I mentioned to her that she should calm down and that I would help her. Her attitude was so extremely disrespectful and aggressive and demeaning towards me. I don't even know why I bought the house, really just because I wanted to make sure I had everything assembled for Christmas for my kids. She then charged me more than what it cost to purchase the item Yes online, and the item is also marked in many areas and has some damage. I did not even complain about that. My biggest complaint is the way she treated me. It was absolutely disgusting. I work in an extremely stressful environment on a daily basis, and I have never ever talked to a single soul in this way EVER. I have spent thousands of dollars at your store, but I will never come back. I hope that everyone reads this and sees that they do not deserve to be treated this way.. Again I work in a very stressful high volume job, and have NEVER treated anyone this way Also you should have been grateful to be busy in a bad Economy, not taking it out on customers Your response shows everything. You called me entitled, yet again insulting me when I did nothing wrong. I am a kind paying customer at your store who moved aside even though I waited in line for you to check out those ten customers in a calm and patient manner. I tried to park outside your store, but a large beverage truck parked there. I told the lovely young man I would carry the house to my car on the SAME block but he said he would help me. It took 5 minutes for him to walk down the street with me, and I also thanked him and tipped him a cash gift. You can justify why you behaved so rudely to me all you want and refuse to acknowledge your behavior which is not excusable. The house DOES have damage and the price is lower on Maileg site and all websites. I have dealt with all kinds of extremely stressful situations and have NEVER treated anyone like that ever. You seem to find such behavior acceptable and this is why I will never come to your store again

Eric Wells is an enterprising young man with Down's Syndrome who decided to open a store where people with different mental abilities can sell their artwork & crafts, along with unique gift items. Eric also sells informational and children's books about including individuals with special needs into our lives. They are located in the Rosemont Farmer's Market, with plenty of free parking. In addition to the wide variety of books and magazines, they have a gift section with puzzles, board games, stationary, wrapping paper and more. The staff seemed absolutely delighted and were eager to help and promote the store. They have more regional control over their offerings and have a nice selection of Philadelphia items in stock. They also have regular events and I was told Ginger Spice will be there in April to promote her kids book. Still has that brand new smell, stop in and check it out, great to have them back in the neighborhood!

I have seen and heard about Merritt Gallery since I moved to the area about year ago, but this was…read moremy first time going inside. It is an impressive, contemporary space with a very wide selection of art including wall and free-standing sculpture. When asked for prices the range was quite wide from $900 to $50,000 (yes, $50k). Given some of the pieces displayed and artists represented I imagine that range goes well beyond $50k as names like Picasso, Matisse, and Warhol come up on their website. The gallery has three locations and represents around 175 artists meaning that what you see in store is only a very small sampling of their actual collection. Though I always am looking for new pieces for my collection, today I went in to have a small print framed. Caitlin, one of their consultants, ably showed me an incredible selection of frames ranging from contemporary to hand-carved, hand-detailed wooden frames worthy of the Louvre and works of art in and of themselves. Having chosen to forgo a mat (not needed with this piece) and a fairly simple thin frame, the price caught me off guard: $216. While the financial part of my brain said "no!" the artistic side said "give it a try." I paid the fee and was told my print would be ready in about two weeks. Caitlin offered to have it delivered to me and installed which I may take them up on. Conclusions: Merritt is a great gallery and framing shop. The price lowers my rating to 4.5 stars (I'm a budget conscious art collector). The only issue I had was when Caitlin and I went upstairs to figure out my invoice she left my print exposed on a framing table. I didn't think much about it till I had left, but I wonder when/if someone went down and secured the print from damage. This lowers my ranking to 4 stars. Otherwise a good experience.
