This morning I had called the shop to inquire about a dollhouse. I spoke to a woman who stated that she would check the price and have me call back in 30 minutes. I was so delighted that she had the house that I just headed right over to purchase it, regardless of price. When I arrived, she seemed extremely uninterested at first, but stated she would find out the price of the hous for me. After I looked at it, I had decided to purchase it, and I told her I would like to load it in the car. She became very distraught and angry Stated that she had told me to call back in 30 minutes because it would take a long time for them to prepare the house. She said that they would need to dismantle the display and it would not be ready until tonight. I told her I'd driven 40 minutes just to pick up the house and I would actually help her dismantle everything from insideif it would allow for me to get it sooner. By the way, there was only a few toys and pluses in the house. The picture is provided for everyone to see that it would only take 3 minutes to remove the items from inside! She then told me that she was very busy and I needed to calm down because she is verybusy and understaffed, and that she needs to check out everyone else in line first and I needed to step aside. She replies in a very mad way I told you to call back in 30 minutes!!!!! I reminded her kindly that she asked me to call back For the price, and I headed over because the price did not matter. I was embarrassed and humiliated, I then decided to walk away and let her check out all the other people in line. When she had done that, I came back to tell her I would help her dismantle the area for the house and I wanted to see what she could do for me. She was clearly walking past me ignoring me for a while and then she came and told me "now do you see what I just said,when we are extremely busy! She was so angry with us. I mentioned to her that she should calm down and that I would help her. Her attitude was so extremely disrespectful and aggressive and demeaning towards me. I don't even know why I bought the house, really just because I wanted to make sure I had everything assembled for Christmas for my kids. She then charged me more than what it cost to purchase the item Yes online, and the item is also marked in many areas and has some damage. I did not even complain about that. My biggest complaint is the way she treated me. It was absolutely disgusting. I work in an extremely stressful environment on a daily basis, and I have never ever talked to a single soul in this way EVER. I have spent thousands of dollars at your store, but I will never come back. I hope that everyone reads this and sees that they do not deserve to be treated this way.. Again I work in a very stressful high volume job, and have NEVER treated anyone this way Also you should have been grateful to be busy in a bad Economy, not taking it out on customers Your response shows everything. You called me entitled, yet again insulting me when I did nothing wrong. I am a kind paying customer at your store who moved aside even though I waited in line for you to check out those ten customers in a calm and patient manner. I tried to park outside your store, but a large beverage truck parked there. I told the lovely young man I would carry the house to my car on the SAME block but he said he would help me. It took 5 minutes for him to walk down the street with me, and I also thanked him and tipped him a cash gift. You can justify why you behaved so rudely to me all you want and refuse to acknowledge your behavior which is not excusable. The house DOES have damage and the price is lower on Maileg site and all websites. I have dealt with all kinds of extremely stressful situations and have NEVER treated anyone like that ever. You seem to find such behavior acceptable and this is why I will never come to your store again read more

I've been in here a couple times now and have been underwhelmed. My son lives nearby so whenever I am visiting him I think maybe I'll go in there again and see if I see something for the grandkids. I love to shop for them and usually don't have a hard time buying something anywhere I go! The outside of the store is pleasing to the eye and the inside of the store looks nice too. They have unique toys for kids so maybe this is a good place to go if there's a kid that has everything and you need an unusual gift. There are books all over the store which I think is strange. If I want to look for books for a child I wouldn't want to have to wander all over the store to see the selection. They sell "Antiracist Baby" book so if you want to prove how woke you are you can buy it there although why anyone would buy this book for a baby is beyond me. Prices here are not cheap so don't come in here thinking you're going to find a bunch of affordable toys. But again, for the kid who has everything you might not mind spending the extra money just to find something a little different. I don't see me visiting this store again. read more

I had an appointment in Ardmore, but came across pucciManuli. It recently just moved to the former Milkboy's/Melody's Cafe from their location down the street. Before that, they were actually in the Ardmore Farmer's Market. As you can see, they have been around for a while! Inside, I looked at their variety of toys and gifts. They had cards, candy, stuffed animals, Crazy Aaron's thinking putty and more! I absolutely love aardvarks especially the one, Sunshine at the Philadelphia Zoo, so I had to get that as stuffed animal. The aardvark stuffed animal was of very nice quality and could sit in a nice upright position. They also have a ton of other cute stuffed animals including some giant ones. I was just intersted in the giant elephant, orangutan and polar bear. They also had plenty of cute, smaller options. The employees here were absolutely great. When I came in, one came straight over to me to say hello and ask if I needed help with anything. When checking out, the cashier also asked if I needed anything wrapped up! While this store is a bit expensive, all of the items are of great quality and many of them tend to be hand-crafted. Altogether, this is an absolutely amazing store that I would highly recommend to pick up gifts and toys at! read more

Lady with glasses is super grumpy all the time! She got mad when aunt asked if she HAD to give her full name for the receipt and said "its JUST a receipt.." Despite that, my family spent 100 dollars (on just 4 items), she must have have been feeling tired of doing her job because when my mom asked her to wrap a SINGLE stuffie she said "actually would cost a please and thank you" in a very condescending tone before sighing, rolling her eyes, and continuing to wrap it. Since she was so pissed about it mom told her to stop wrapping. The woman must have been afraid of a return because after saying "NOPE!" to my mother (who had been perfectly pleasant) she went "Welp! You can unwrap it then after!" In the most obnoxious condesending tone. Apparently this woman has taken it upon herself to teach my GROWN mother a lesson for something she didnt even do wrong. Keep in mind at this point the woman had not even started wrapping. We returned every overcharged toy. I feel horrible for the poor girl who works there, she is pleasant, helpful, and super kind. It is arguably easier to be nice to customers! For anyone who needs to know, all their stuffed animals are called "Jellycats" look it up on google! I guarantee you will find what you're looking for + more options. read more

Absolutely love this place, and I'm 25. This is the most amazing toy store on the Main Line. There are so many unique items for kids all ages and adults; there is something for everyone. In addition to the unique and amazing toy collection, PucciManuli sells Franklin Fountain Ice cream!!!!! Yes....the best ice cream in Philly is sold at this store. The staff at the store are all very nice and know their products. The website is very informative...you can even schedule a video chat shopping session. I went into the store mainly for their Jelly Cat collection. They have such a verity or stuffed animals..it's amazing. It's hard to find toys that aren't just plastic or tech driven. It's nice to find quality toys that kids can be creative with and also learn with. There are so many great options at PucciManuli. I can't recommend this place enough. Anytime I'm in Ardmore, I have to stop by. But be ready to spend some money. It's hard to leave without at least ice cream! read more

PucciManuli - Jelly Cat! - Toy Stores Near Me - Ardmore, Pennsylvania

Stopped by this newly opened toy store on our way to lunch. This is actually PucciManuli's second iteration. They originally opened with a stall at the Ardmore Farmer's Market, which proved so successful that they moved to this permanent location. This location is super convenient to the Ardmore Train Station, just one and a half blocks down from the station itself, and a half block from the bus station on Lancaster. Plenty of parking on the street and in nearby (one directly across street) metered lots. The store itself is lovely, with lots of exposed brick, wood floors and a restored tin ceiling. It's well lit and the items are well displayed. What they have is, in a word, amazing. Gorgeous stuffed animals ranging in size from tiny soft mice all the way to a 10 foot tall giraffe and elephant. A four foot tall gliding horse made of gleaming dark wood. Mobiles. Folkmanis Puppets. Marionettes so detailed they looked almost like art. Books, gifts, toys for the thinking parent and child. The clerk was very nice, though surprisingly not as knowledgable about these amazing toys as one would expect in an establishment such as this. She shared that she is new and learning and so we were patient and she was gleefully receptive to our comments. The Young Un and I are huge fans of Folkmanis, so I had a blast walking around pointing out all the different puppets they had there and showing how each one worked. For the person who loves creative, well crafted, and imaginative toys, Pucci Manuli is your shop. No Lego, no Barbie, no commercial made-in-China stuff here. These are beautiful, heirloom quality items. As one would expect, nothing here is inexpensive, though, for what it is, everything is well priced. Go, even just to be amongst this. It may just take your breath away and remind you of that sense of wonder you had as a child. read more

I came in today to pucci manulli to look for a birthday gift and after driving around a bit to find parking, I walked to the door to see it was locked and I needed to ring the doorbell. I figured the doorbell was still there because of a previous Covid precaution however, when asked, the staff told me it's because they are "short staffed". Upon walking inside, there were 4 employees and two small- groups shopping. Feels like a strange micro management of patrons. I didn't find the employees to be particularly helpful but maybe that's because I wasn't a big fan of the selection which had a whimsical vibe but overpriced. I witnessed another patron come in with children and she was holding a coffee and was accosted by a staff member to either leave with the coffee or the woman needed to hand it over to the employee who would keep it behind the register. Bizarre on many fronts. Seems like they don't want your business. read more

I want to live inside this store. Puccimanulli is gorgeous from head to toe, and feels like you've stepped inside a storybook every time you walk in. I wouldn't quite call it a toy store- this shop is amazing for children, and for the child inside as well. I've been twice and every time have found at least a dozen things I wanted for myself! I've bought gifts for adult friends' birthdays here, and gifts for a baby shower. There really is something for everybody. The staff are always incredibly friendly and helpful- they know exactly the right questions to ask and I've never left empty handed. They also have done a fantastic job of handling COVID safety, which takes a lot of stress off of shopping as you never feel crowded or rushed. The price is a bit steeper than your average toy store, but well worth it for the quality of the items, which are often handcrafted or sustainably made. If you have a child who is neurodivergent or has sensory issues- most of the toys in this shop are SOFT and feel wonderful to touch. In addition, they do have plenty of more affordable items if you poke around a bit- even on a very tight budget (20-30 dollars) I've always been able to find something nice here. I would give 0 stars if I could for the customer service I received today. My boyfriend and I wanted to come in to shop for a child's birthday gift. It was about 5:10, and the sign on the front door said they were open until 6. When we tried opening the door, it was locked. We tried opening the second door, which was also locked. It was sunny so we couldn't see inside. Then we noticed a doorbell so we rung ONE time. The lady working (owner?) opened the door and very nastily told us "patience is a virtue" by way of greeting. I was taken aback by the rude comment and asked if they were still open for the day, as the doors were locked and I didn't want to be rude keeping her there if she was closing up. Instead of just saying "yes," she asked me, "did you read the sign? what does the sign say?" referencing the fact that the sign with hours said open until 6. Extremely patronizing and condescending thing to say to two ADULTS! We left immediately and I will never be back - extremely rude to treat your customers like children, especially when we are trying to give you our business in your overpriced toy store. read more

She collects these little stuffed mice toys that live in decorated matchboxes and we were told that's where to find them. You could easily spend several hundreds (or even thousands of) dollars on the one-of-a-kind items here. With that in mind, I walked in just to browse. The employee working there, a very sweet former artist, struck up fabulous conversation with me about the toys, and life in general. I pleasantly killed an hour or two, at least. You won't find these treasures in Target! I took my mother in for the first time yesterday after we had breakfast a few doors down. I'm not sure if she's the owner or not, but a lovely woman named Carrie was working, who was happy to chat, answer questions, and point out special features of certain items. The whole place is beautifully and classically decorated with a European twist and the books and toys are just so unique, and high quality, not cheap plastic that will break in a month. As gifts for my family in California, mother bought a sweet fill-in book to write down the funny things your children say and do over the years, and a children's version of "Little Women." (They had a ton of classics in children's versions!) Prices are competitive with Mainline specialty shops. Definitely worth stopping in! read more

I've been taking my children here for YEARS (ever since their old location inside the Ardmore Farmers Market)! And yes, I know that things can get a little pricey here, BUT, that is what you get when you pay for QUALITY and SAFE toys. Cute stores like this are shutting down because of stores like Target that couldn't care less about health and quality toys that customers would be giving their children. The product selection is more natural, environmental friendly, and many European vendors. My problem is that every time I go I end up spending more then $200.
