Finally, a locksmith physical brick and motor store = offer more affordable prices if things aren't urgent. Example a fob key swap service (smart entry)/not programming is $25. They take credit card. Clarification of what I got done: + Aftermarket fob key (I brought via Amazon$10) but wanted it to be swapped with my aftermarket fob key with smart entry chip = $25 cash that day. Anyone can swap it BUT that smart chip requires more delicate hands and carefulness that I don't trust my clumsy self. Prius 2008 key. + My forgetful self also forgot the new battery replacement I already have at home. That ends costing $20 for a new one here.....steep. = $45 service and battery from them. Senior lady seems to be the boss? And staff helps do the work? Lady is difficult to hear and understand with the standing fans all on in the lobby. Patience is needed. She can only call or check for quotes during weekday when other offices are open. But I had to physically visit, write down exact FCC key, specs, my car etc. Old school here. After looking at their website, all I could find is their phone number.... I finally called to see if they had a physical address. I then drove to the location. The person inside had broken English, but was able to find a key blank that worked. The cost was $8.50 for a very small simple key. There are NUMEROUS customer unfriendly signs all over the place stating no refunds for cash sales, all sales final, etc.... they are literally plastered everywhere! Definitely not a customer friendly environment. I should have know it was going to be expensive when I saw Costco brand bottled water for $1.85... ($.25 at Costco vending) When she told me $8.50 for the key ($3.50 Home Depot) I said "WOW" then she went on to tell me about expensive freight cost, sales tax etc. Credit: she did have the blank, and it does work, but be prepared to pay dearly and hope it works when you get home. read more

I'm so happy this Lowes associate recommended it because to be honest, I was Yelping all over downtown and this business was NOT coming up... what the heck!!? And it was also a Saturday and nothing else was open!! It's certainly a hole-in-the-wall shop but holy heck, this place had a lot of extremely unique keys! Best of all... she had the EXACT match of the key I was looking for! She said if the key didn't work I could bring it back but it worked like a charm! As far as pricing went...I thought it was pretty fair, a few bucks. Heck, I would have even paid $10 just to get a key to fit this lock just so we wouldn't have to replace the whole mailbox!! I get really annoyed when people leave reviews complaining about paying $5-10 for a key, when they would probably pay $5-$10 for a Starbucks or some fast food without blinking! I mean really!!? If you are at small family-run shop like this, it's PROBABLY because you CANT find the key at a big box store (otherwise go to a big box store, I dare you!!) Motorcyclists have a problem in town where damn near any place that calls themself a "locksmith" is just a guy who runs a key machine and will go install door locks. Able is a real locksmith. After searching and requestion yelp quotes from 40 different places in Vegas, NONE, not a single one, could take my key, a blank key I purchased, and copy it. None. One really shady dude "Locksmith Connect" quoted me $350 to make a spare from my key and my already purchased key blank. Thats the kind of crap you have to wade through with locksmiths in this town. i called to get a new car key because my car key broke in half and the lady was nice enough to give me a quote and send someone out to fix it and it all went downhill from there...the guy is testing my new key out and he's ramming the key into the ignition and jarring the starter on and off..the force he used to START the car was ridiculously uncalled for. So i pay close to 200 dollars for the new key, which doesn't work to open the door and start the key, i now need two keys for ONE car, to end up with a key that doesn't work. the next day i had to ARGUE with the owner, Susan or Suzanne, who didn't want to speak to me after a 30 minute conversation and being called a liar, only to send her technician out to me, 6 hours after the phone call only for the man to tell me, he messed up my ignition with a pin or something and had to replace it. if a customer calls and asks for assistance repairing an item that had no issues prior to the service your company provides, don't call the customer a liar and fight with them nor do you tell them they don't understand when clearly, YOU DON'T, worst service provider ever, especially in a 24 hour city, customer service means more than availability! They say they take care of automotive locks but in the woman's exact words "if you lost key for motorcycle we cannot help you". So they only deal with malfunctions? ? Do all people call locksmiths just because they are bored with or they get tired of their locks or they malfunction? We were so very pleased with the service we received from Able Lock and Key. They were the ONLY ones that were on time at our new office building. We were given an honest quote and even though the installer and the owner were there for several hours and even came back on Monday, they charged us WAY less than anyone else quoted us! The project ended up being a lot more than we thought we needed, but the installer just set up shop and diligently worked on re-keying almost every lock, and we had 34! Wow....what a nightmare...if I could give this place ZERO stars I would. Took some special order keys that were REALLY expensive for my car in to get cut and the moron Korean lady that evidently is the owner cuts my ignition key from the trunk key, which OF COURSE screws off my expensive ignition blank so she takes one of HER 50 cent key blanks and makes me a copy of my ignition key and says that she will pay me for another set of my blanks and that the one she cut was no charge....Ordered the blanks and went in with them and the receipt and the Korean lady wants to cut $5 off the price because ALL OF A SUDDEN she wants me to pay for the 50 cent blank she gave me because she was too STUPID to look at what key she was cutting...at the beginning though she was telling me she wanted "Her" old key back...WTF? I told her there is NO WAY I was giving her a key to my car....This lady has NO business sense AT ALL and I would rather cut my keys with a hacksaw than ever patronize this place again...Final note, I got the ENTIRE AMOUNT back from her only because I'm a waaaay bigger asshole than she can be a cheap idiot....saying "its not fair" the whole time.
