My experience with Abood Law was disappointing overall. The first time I called, Jeff Abood answered and was straight-up rude--definitely not what you expect when considering paying $5,000+. After payment, his tone changed, which just proves the saying "money talks." My actual attorney, Michael Anderson, was much better. He was polite, patient, communicative, and tried to understand my situation. I appreciated his professionalism. That said, the PPO case against me was dismissed--but only because I hadn't contacted the petitioner in 1.5 years. It was clear from the start that this case was going nowhere, yet I still wasted my money and time. The judge didn't even give my lawyer the chance to properly defend me against the false allegations. Compared to other firms I've worked with, like Julian J. Poota PLLC and Rabaa & Nachawati PLLC, my overall experience here was far less professional and reassuring. Attorney Anderson deserves credit, but my overall impression of Abood Law was not the best. read more

One of my biggest mistakes was hiring Jeffery Abood and his law firm. Due to the unfortunate circumstances of COVID, my arraignment which was initially scheduled for March of that year was delayed until August. Throughout that entire time, Mr. Abood billed me week by week, text by text, upwards of over 10k of additional costs/fees for text messages that were barely a paragraph in regards to my next potential date for arraignment. When we finally were in the court room, Mr. Abood's interaction with the judge lasted less than 10 minutes. Almost 60% of my total legal fees came from "updates" during that waiting period. All of which for a "deal" that was nowhere near as great as not one but two of my close friends who had similar experiences in the same exact county/courthouse; deals that left them both financially and legally better off than me. I felt that I was taken advantage of by Mr. Abood while being a frontline worker. Two additional lawyers agreed and wanted to make a case for overbilling but I was not willing to pay another retainer just for a chance at being compensated. I would not recommend Mr. Abood or his firm for petty offenses/misdemeanors. read more
