Today I contacted Smart windows with an odd request to get an estimate for a particular window. Since I new exactly what was specified I was able to pass this on and get an estimate without them spending too much effort. I explained to them that this was just a preliminary estimate and may not result in a sale. Tom contacted the manufacturer for the price and got right back to me. This in my experience was amazing, as few subcontractors normally would respond at all to my request let along respond reasonably quick for such a small order. For the motor, they had a few options to choose from. The one we wanted they didn't have with them, so they came back the next business day to install it. They showed up on time both times. The second time they showed up closer to the end of the window and forgot to call to advise they were on the way. I ended up calling the office to make sure I wrote down the appointment window correctly and they confirmed the window and that the tech was en route. Not sure there's anything left to wear out / break, but if anything does, I would definitely call them again.
