I was very pleased with the experience of working with Louie for the first step toward making my new apartment my home. The apartment was somewhat somber in feel, and I needed a fresh blank canvas for my new start. Recommendations he made were right in line with my admittedly fussy tastes: eggshell finish on the ceilings rather than flat, semi-gloss on the door trims and baseboards. He recommended against painting the insides of the closets; I like painters who spare you a little expense when some surfaces are really OK as is. He has a win-win attitude, also. Lui and his crew at Above the Cut Painting did a wonderful job painting the inside and outside of our large 2story home. His crew is wonderful, they never complained when I couldn't move some heavy furniture they just moved it and put it back when the painting was finished. Sure there was a few drops of paint they missed to clean up or a electric cover they missed, but in an almost 4,000 square ft. home I would say thats amazing. I had Lui paint all the cabinets in my kitchen. He was under a strict time constraint as we were under construction throughout the house and needed to be done in a window of four days. He came over with 5 or 6 guys and really hustled. It's a large high end kitchen but was dated. Half the cabinets were new and built to look as the old ones.
