Most of the year it's open by appointment only (exceptions exist in that they have periodic open houses), and if you do go, the best signage you can expect en route are a couple very understated "plant sale" yard signs. They do maintain a good website. But clearly most of their effort goes into cultivating native Kentucky plants. In fact, I'm not sure any other nursery in the area can claim the same reputation among the biggest gardening nerds in Louisville. The selection of native plants isn't overwhelming, but it's varied enough to give anyone plenty of options. Lots of sun-loving plants as well as shade-loving, and everything from trees to ground cover. And the grounds are lovely.

With the owners help I chose several plants (wish I bought more) for my plot of land. I was told how to plant and how far apart (use a ruler) each plant should be. We wound up making beautiful wreaths complete with ribbons, pinecones, and several different types of greenery. The manager told me that they were very welcoming of people who didn't know much about plants/plant care and that every so often they offered their customers the ability to exchange cuttings or gardening material (soil, pots, etc).
