We have had such a disappointing, prolonged, incomplete job with this company. It's been one excuse after another, and they left our job not only undone but dangerously so. Instead of planting the trees as we'd planned, they dropped them into the holes without actually filling them. The large trees fell over onto our car, as it was right by the curb. So so horrible. We ended up having to hire a different company to complete the work that this company dragged out for five months and never actually finished. Of course, they said they would "come back to finish it" which never happened. Don't use them. They will rip you off and take your money. read more

So what's the big deal about gravel and landscaping? Well when you are trying to sell your house the first thing people notice is curb appeal. You don't realize how out dated your first impression is till you see the competition! So after new paint we stepped back to admire our work and our eyes went straight to our gravel. YIKES! I relied on yelp to find reliable, affordable oh and did I mention in a time crunch?!! I messaged the company and no more than a couple hour passed before Marti responded and not only did she arrange a same day meeting she even met around my work schedule. She was pleasant, arrived on time and after we explained our dilemma she quickly got to determining what rock we had, yes folks no rock is the same. We had lava rock which was in its place but through the years the gray river rock (I guarantee that's not the right type but it's all I know) was sparse and the popular black plastic to avoid weeds was showing it's face like a weed of it's own. She measured and calculated and the price was beyond fair (delivery and install woo hoo). Now the question...how *gulp* soon can you do it? 1 week folks! We were nervous about making time for their arrival but no fear they would deliver, install and we need not be present to win. The delivery date arrived and before I left work a friendly message from Marti "we are All done let us know what you think.". We arrived and no longer was our curb appeal an eye sore. Damian McBride showed up at my house to give me a quote to landscape my backyard back in August of 2021. The work was to start in September of 2021. I gave him a deposit for 1/3 of the total cost. Between September and January 2022, Damian made excuse after excuse as to why he could not start the job. I asked for my deposit back in the middle of January. He said he would come in and drop off a check. He gave me a post dated for February 4th, 2022. I attempted to deposit using my mobile app but an error. Damian texted me on the following Monday that he apologized for the bounced check and would bring a cashier's check the following Friday. He didn't show up so I took him to court. He did not dispute the amount owed and told Judge he would bring a cashier's check to my house by May 10th. Don't be surprised when I tell you I did not receive the check or money. A judgement has been ordered against Damian and the judge said in full candor it is often hard to collect from an individual. If Damian shows up for your landscaping needs, turn him away. It is unfortunate because I picked ABQ Landscaping for the reviews on yelp back in 2021. read more

Very nice, and knowledgeable. He has a large crew and they act fast, the price is very reasonable and they clean up every twig. The tree they Trimmed has been in my family for three generations, so I was pretty apprehensive at first. But they seem to really know what they're doing, and they get it done quickly and painlessly. They also removed an old, dead holly bush, and you can't even tell it was there. I don't know how this business has gotten any stars at all. I hired a contractor to do my back yard after confirming with the owner of this business that Ignacio Senna worked for her company. She confirmed that he did indeed and I signed a contract with with him with her company logo on it. He did a partial job and then left me without finishing what we had agreed on. I called Marti and she said he also had not finished another job she sent him out on. Because she had confirmed his employment with me and because of the contract and of course since she sent him to my home; she agreed to help finish at least part of the work not done. I resumed landscape shopping after I got my tax refund and hired a landscape designer to develop a plan to replace my back lawn with xeriscaping. I got several quotes and found Marti's updated estimate significantly lower than other landscapers. Marti and her crew arrived on time, measured carefully to implement my landscape plan and made sure I approved the placement of design elements. They saved me a few bucks by suggesting a more efficient drip irrigation layout. I posted a photo of my new backyard on Facebook and got LOTS of compliments. READ THIS BEFORE YOU CALL THIS COMPANY. I would absolutely not recommend this company. I know they have a lot of good reviews but I had a terrible experience. Damien gave me a price very quickly and asked for a $600 deposit which I gave him right away. He proceeded to put off working on my yard for two months. He kept saying that his workers were calling in because it was hot. Finally just before I was about to ask for my money back he showed up one day and cleared the weeds out of my yard. Maybe a week later they finally came and put in the rocks. I felt like OK at least this is finally done. But then I discovered that they only put down weed guard on about 2/3 of my yard and didn't bother to say anything. Apparently they just hoped I wouldn't notice. I told Damien I would not pay him the rest of the agreed price and he did agree to a lower price. But he stated he would still come and finish the job correctly, which of course he did not. It was always excuses and BS with him. It was a really really frustrating experience and I already have grass coming up in my yard where they didn't lay down the weed guard. read more

The morning of the appointment, exactly 1 hour beforehand, I texted to confirm that his crew would be arriving that day, and he sent me back a picture of a hand shredded to pieces leaking blood, completely unannounced, to let me know he had had an accident. I wish him the best of luck with his recovery if that indeed was his picture belonging to him, but this business is incredibly disorganized, and sending a photograph like that is honestly one of the most unhinged insane things I've seen a business owner/contractor do. Just tell me you had a personal emergency, don't send me gore pictures. Strongly do not recommend initiating any kind of business with these people. I've never needed professional yard work done so I I went straight to Yelp and this business was the 2nd I chose to request a bid. Within 10 minutes, Marti replied and asked for a phone number so Damian can reach out to me to schedule an estimate. Damian called within 15 minutes and was at my house within the hour to see what I needed done. Later that evening, he text me with a bid which I agreed to right away. Scheduling was easy, I didn't even need to be there. When I came home to check it out, I saw a portion of the shrubs weren't done...Damian and his guys were back out the next day to complete the job. Working with Damian was super laid back but I could tell he is very passionate about what he does and taking care of the customer. They arrived on time and did a excellent, professional job. They trimmed all of the areas I requested and pointed out others that they recommended. They sealed the cuts with a solution to prevent insects and damage they were friendly & fast. I had my irrigation system overhauled, gravel replaced in one area and many plants added. Ernie suggested which plants would be best in different areas according to if they bloomed, were colorful, how quickly/slowly they grew and which would achieve the look I wanted. We had Damien and his team come out to help clean up our new yard, which had lots of weeds and a dead tree. Working with Damien seemed like it was going great, but then he never finished the job. After pulling up the weeds, the team was supposed to spray the yard to prevent weeds from coming back up, but he left the site before finishing. He said he would come back tomorrow to spray. I had paid for the spraying in my total costs, so I wanted to make sure it was completed. Day after day, he continued to postpone spraying until he just stopped replying to me all together. I sent polite reminders may times, and finally began asking for a partial refund. No one has gotten back to me since. I was a nice customer, I paid in cash, I was very understanding of the "delays," I let the crew use my bathroom, etc. 4 months later, I'm still wondering what happened to "honoring a deal"- which Damien claimed was important to him. read more

He didn't contact us, so we reached out to him and he asked to come by. We thought he was bringing drawings, but he just rehashed the same thing with us and said he would be in touch with drawings. That was over a month ago. We reached out again and he said he didn't have drawings but he wanted to come by. We said no....we got tired of him wasting our time.
