About a year ago I was travelling through Albuquerque and I saw the brochure for the Breaking Bad tour and I hoped it would be ongoing so on my next trip I could go on it. Luckily they still do it and let me tell you, it was absolutely worth the wait!! If you are a fan of the show or even if you don't know much about it, it is one of the coolest tours you will ever experience. It will make you appreciate the show even more. We had a blast with Frank and Pete. They offer the big RV and depending on how many people they will also have a SUV with people following behind. It was fun, informative, and we hit a lot of spots. They really did try to make it special. I like how they lit the smoke bomb on top of the camper to make it look like they were cooking meth, lol. I specifically booked a "RV" tour not the SUV tour and even reached out to them weeks before the the tour to confirm only to be met in person with an SUV with no apology, option to reschedule or refund. Tour guide stated that they text messaged people about the situation due to them having the RV put on showing in another state, I asked why I wasn't emailed or called regarding this as this was literally the biggest reason I booked this tour but they don't care they just want money and this is an expensive tour. The tour is a must for all Breaking Bad fans. The length was just perfect! We get to see a lot of the shooting locations for the series such as the car wash, laundromat, Walter whites house, los pollos hermanos, dog house and more! What's great is they play clips of the scene shot at the location they are viewing so it really brings back the memories from the show. I like the trivia's too! Our tour guide Luigi asked us questions from the series and gives prices for those who gets it correct. The fun facts are also interesting! Fun Fact: I was OBSESSED with Breaking Bad. My husband and I binged one entire season in ONE day and needless to say I was hooked. So in our recent trip to Albuquerque, we made a point to spend a few hours exploring the sites of Walter White. Breaking Bad RV Tours is THE primary tour company offering the premiere experience - truly bringing the show to life in a short 3 hours. The tour starts in Old Town Square in Downtown at a replica of the meth cooking RV - although the day we were there it was being serviced. Boo. After boarding the shuttle bus, we were whisked off to over 25 different film locations from the show (as it was filmed right there in town!) - ranging from Jesse's house, the Car Wash and Superlab, to Tucco's house and a stop at the famous Los Pollos Hermanos for a bite to eat! Our driver was interesting, interactive, filled with facts about the show, gave us insight into filming in his home town as well as meeting the different celebrities and literally made the tour fun. Although pricing is a bit steep ($75/person), it was the perfect way to spend afternoon seeing the highlights of one of our favorite shows! read more

The staff for the Breaking Bad RV Tour tries very hard to ensure that everyone has a good time. Shortly before our tour was to begin, we received a call advising that the replica RV used on the tour did not have working air conditioning (art imitating life, anyone?) and that we could brave it or ride in their air conditioned shuttle van/bus instead. Given that it was triple digits for the entire length of our visit to ABQ, we went with the van. That separated the three in our party (plus two randoms) from the rest of the tour, but we actually didn't mind being part of a smaller subset. Our driver and host, Luigi, was very passionate about what he does, checking on us frequently and I think giving us more of the tour than the rest of the group as we were always 10 minutes behind the RV with each stop! Luigi regaled us with tales from watching the shooting of the series--he drove around a lot of the cast and crew over its five seasons--and even gave us samples of the "crystal meth" that was used during the show. Over the course of the tour, we visited: - The Crossroads Motel - The side-by-side that Jesse lived in and Krysten Ritter's character overdosed - The exterior of the facility that Jesse and Walter made meth after getting connected with Gustavo - The restaurant that served as the Los Pollos Hermanos set - Jesse's super fancy house - The White Family home - The building where Heisenberg set off the chemical explosion that shattered the windows - The Dog House restaurant - And several more We really appreciated Luigi's enthusiasm and knowledge of the show and the behind-the-scenes info he shared really added to the tour. There were just a couple things that were lacking: - We had to stop for gas during the tour. Seems like poor planning on the part of the tour. We were at the restaurant for a good 10-15 minutes, seems like a perfect time to go get gas. - The bus/van was not set up for audio clips as the RV was, so we missed a sizable chunk of the overall experience. Having been off the air for a while, the clips would have been instrumental in jogging memories to make the trip that much more enjoyable. I feel as though we should have paid a reduced admission for this oversight, but given the challenges that most businesses have faced with COVID, I didn't push this issue. - The restaurant was a bit underwhelming. The food was not customizable at all and cold by the time we got there, most likely because of the aforementioned 10 minute delay. All that being said, fans of the show could do much worse than spending a little time with Luigi on this tour! read more

Was in Albuquerque New Mexico during an RV trip and ran across this tour. If you are a fan of Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, and El Camino, you will love this tour. First off, you get driven around in a replica of the Bounder RV, which has been converted into a tour bus. There are over 20 locations where scenes are filmed for the shows. As a bonus, which I appreciated, was that the specific scene was played on a flat screen at the front of the bus to give you a refresher. The tour stopped at Los Pollos Hermanos, where we are provided a breakfast burrito and a soft drink. We had an excellent tour in the RV. Had to book well in advance to get an option to ride in the RV but it was worth it for the experience and to have a bit smaller group tour (the bus looked nice as well but nothing like the RV). We saw a ton of sights all around town and even the owner of the Walter White house was friendly with the tour owners so we could get a good pic. This group knows what they are doing. We watched Breaking Bad from the first day it aired so we were fans from way back. In fact the Breaking Bad Tour was a major draw for our trip to New Mexico and I'm happy to say it delivered big time! First I got tickets over 6 months ahead online to make sure we got a spot when we were in town. Used a discount code I found online which they accepted no problem. We met up in Old Town, loved the funky creaky RV outfitted with cooking equipment right away. Frank and Jackie did a great job taking us to many of the show's filming locations and filling us in on details that diehard fans like us live for. Loved the videos they showed that coincided w/filming locations, it's been awhile since the show aired that was a good refresher. "Joking Bad" video clips were hilarious too as was "Better Call Saul" material. Included breakfast burrito snack at Los Pollos Hermanos (now Twister) was a nice touch too. For all you, Breaking Bad fans, this is a must while in Albuquerque. We were visiting the wonderful state of New Mexico and looked up if there were any tours to see Breaking Bad filming locations, and found Breaking Bad RV Tours. We booked our tickets ahead of time, as the online registration is super easy, with a calendar view of all the dates and times available. Once you register you get a confirmation e-mail and another notification closer to date. For where the tour starts is in Old Town, and fortunately, there were signs, indicating to where the RV picks you up at. Be on time, as the tour starts right on time, especially if there's a large group. For when we visited, the group was so large that in addition to the RV, a shuttle took another group of people around. I sat in the RV the whole time, which is a huge reason why you want to sign up with Breaking Bad RV Tours. Just like the famous meth lab on the show, the RV is reminiscent of that, with memorabilia inside the RV. During the ride we also participated in trivia where we won some Breaking Bad swag. They also played clips of the show, which made me only want to re-watch the series. Our tour guide, Frank was awesome! He was even an extra on the show, playing a DEA agent. He was super enthusiastic and pointed out to different locations and facts about the show and other movies that are filmed in Albuquerque. I actually learned a lot about the film industry in ABQ; I had no idea how many movies and shows were produced here. The tour was half a day, so it's pretty long; but we had fun throughout our entire time. Lunch is also included at the famous Los Pollos Hermanos! But some highlights of what you see on the tour are Walt's house, the car wash, both of Jesse's residences, etc...It gave you a great tour of ABQ, too. AND, you even meet a celebrity from the show! This writing is to be specifically directed toward the part of the franchise that is the direct offshoot of the main franchise. I write these words specifically in assurance to my dear new friend Luigi of Breaking Bad tours. His personable ability to connect and affect those in his presence upon first greetings throughout the following 3 hours that he shares stories and his amazing charm, and magnetic appeal, while speaking of himself in third person has an endearing appeal. An ability I truly wished could be applied to my encounters with my customers in my work. The initial idea of engaging in an expensive and rather silly tour of a television program was something I never would've considered a week ago. I drove to Albuquerque with absolute expectation and awareness of the BB association. But I quite certainly did NOT consider the aspect of paying a single nickel to do such an absurd thing. Being a rather obsessive fan is a cross I've accepted. Many I've told that I really loved the Walter White story about bla bla bla, and had watched the entire series once. Which awhile later I decided to binge it on Netflix, to then immediately walk out to rent every disk and immediately do it again on DVD but simultaneously also take in every commentary addition, sometimes twice. Yeah, I sorta really dug this story. And BCS. AKA Better Call Saul. Yeah duh, I have watched it a bit too. Though I can't claim severe addiction tendencies, since in truth I'm still a slacker. I have only watched the first 3 seasons perhaps 3 times, while the fourth barely twice. So when I was in my Airbnb after two days, still strongly refusing to buy into this Breaking Bad tour silliness, I wasn't going to cave. But I did look up a few cheats. One was how I literally, truly literally and truly, accidentally still, found myself checking details on google to correctly affirm that I had in fact come upon DEA agent Hank Shraders storyline actual house. Again I do assure, by pure coincidence. Later, an hour, I googled it and the actual address was correct In closing. I am an extremely pleased paying customer. I paid without coercion or incentive, for the private Luigi BB Tour. It's probably exactly the same as the one offered in the replica of the RV by the main endorsed company. My kids and I were very excited to do it this tour. FYI: if you get carsick, make sure you bring your Dramamine. I forgot mine, so I opted not to do the tour, but my kids went ahead and did it without me. Keep in mind, my kids are 19 and 17, so they were able to do it without me. The owner was very nice, and I told him I would meet them at Twisters. He had breakfast ready for me because I had already purchased my ticket. The kids had a blast and even won a few trivia questions. This tour takes you just about everywhere within the Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul community. Even though I wasn't on the RV, I had so much fun living vicariously through my kids. It was worth every penny, and I look forward to booking this tour again when I have my motion sickness pills. We went with Frank on the Breaking Bad RV Tour in Albuquerque, and it was a blast! Plenty of sights to see from both Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, plus even some spots in El Camino too. You can tell that Frank has built great rapport and respect with the real businesses and people who live and work in these buildings, as they all waved or said hello. Even the workers at Twister's knew him and provided us with a burrito and drink as a snack! Frank was also incredibly knowledgeable about the filming of BB as he was an extra at one point, and gave us some extra trivia along the way! We were even able to get out of the RV and look at a few locations like the car wash and industrial laundromat. The RV doesn't have amazing AC (understandable for an old RV!) but is a wonderful replica of the RV in BB, and Frank had cold waters for us and fun clips to watch along the way. I've been wanting to do this tour for awhile now, so I thought what better way to support a local business than to give myself a little "pre-birthday" gift of this tour last week (and just so happened two spots magically opened up!). I got a $10 discount on the fare (which ended up coming out to about the same price with tax). I wish the RV was up and running that day, but with only 3 of us on the tour, it made sense to take the NM Film Tours bus. Everything seemed clean (masks, hand sanitizer) and we were all spaced out inside the bus (even the friend that I had invited along). We went to about 20+ different film locations (including non-Breaking Bad sites, some a little harder to take pictures out the bus window in traffic) and stopped for a burrito and hot chocolate/coffee at Los Pollos (aka Twister's). I liked being able to see clips of the film as we arrived to each location (although the volume was turned up a little at times). The burrito was good as always, but with not enough time (I'm a slow eater and no food/drinks were to be taken on the bus), most of my cocoa went in the trash. The tour was just between 2.5-3 hours long, and we got to stop by the new Breaking Bad store and the Candy Lady at the end. Overall, I enjoyed the tour and it was a memorable day. Due to COVID, tours are taking less people. The other few cancelled so it was just us! I was so happy that they would still run for just us. Clips of the show were a great way to jog your memory about some of the locations and scenes shot there. The RV was fun to ride in, and gets a lot of attention while in traffic. When my husband and I planned a trip to the area and booked a day in ABQ, he knew he wanted to try to see some of the filming locations for Breaking Bad. He came across this tour online and decided it'd be nice to be driven around to them all so we didn't have to try to find them all on our own. Plus, we thought it was pretty neat you could ride in an RV like that on the show. I had watched the whole show, but I admittedly am not as into it as my husband. We were driving to the tour start location when we got a call that they were running behind and giving us a new time to meet up. Fortunately that worked with our plans and we just drove around town a bit (and even found the Dog House and one of the motels from the show on our own that we stopped at for photos), but I could see that if someone was on a tight schedule this would have been inconvenient. We did get to see a lot of locations, and you're able to get out at a handful of them. I think from the reviews/photos we saw before we booked that right now it's pretty consistently Twisters (Los Pollos Hermanos), the car wash and the laundry mat like what we did on ours. I was not particularly impressed with the food at Twisters, but that's certainly a personal preference. The RV does make it a little hard to see out/take pictures, so keep that in mind if it's important to you. The windows were open on it when we went so that helped, but if it had been cold and they were closed then be aware it's an old RV and you may not get good photos. We appreciated they played clips along the way of the things we were seeing, though we'd recommend to them that they play relevant clips before seeing the filming location instead of directly after. Just a personal preference. The guide also tells you facts and such, though I did find him to be a bit repetitive at times. When we were there, masks were still required on public transportation so we had to wear them in the RV. All in all, it was a nice way to see the sites from the show and get a good look around ABQ, but it's also a one and done type of experience. read more

This tour was okay. My wife and I went for our honeymoon and it just dragged on a little longer than needed. They show you some cool spots, but also some spots having nothing to do with Breaking Bad. The host tried too hard. Kept asking every 10min if we were having fun, like they didn't believe us and REALLY needed us to like their tour. It was okay. It was just too long for what they show you. The lunch that's served is not good. They take you to 'los pollos hermanos' and serve egg and potato burritos with no seasoning. Seriously, your grandpa uses more seasoning on his food than this place does. This tour was the weakest point in our 10 day road trip honeymoon. read more
