If I could give - 0, that is the rate they deserved. I do not recommend this repair shop. Do not trust your insurance with their recommendation. When this repair shop was recommended by our insurance to repair my car after a rear-ended collision accident, we trusted them to do the job. But when the schedule came to pick up the car, the windshield had rock chips, the dashboard panel has 3 big dents, the step pad in the back was buckling up and not flat. We talked to Eric Burton about it, at first, he denied all this. But when he checked the documents that his associate wrote during the drop off of the vehicle, he had no choice but to agree to fix the damage. Jan 1, we got a text from him about the order of the windshield that it was out of state and 7 days delay of delivery. We honored it. Since that conversation, 1 week had passed, no communication. I ended up calling on Jan 9. Talked to Cristina, put on hold for a long time, and was only told because of weather issues, the delivery got delayed and no ETA. That kind of answer is not professional and not business standpoint, but what is our choice? So, we waited. Today, Jan 19th, nothing from them. I called and nobody would answer the phone. I realized that since they got paid by the insurance, the kept ignoring us and are not professional enough to deal with what damage they did to my car when it was in their possession for repair. A bit of advised, before dropping your vehicle in, take a picture and video of the inside and outside of your car, as proof. . Poor turn around and communication. My car took over a week to undergo work costing me unnecessary stress and money

We have had 2 separate HORRIBLE experiences with this place. Literally a joke. The only reason we went back the second time was because it was the closest place that our insurance would cover. Mechanics do a good job from what I can tell but the lady at the front desk is the absolute dumbest and rudest person I have ever met. No exaggeration. Took them over a month to fix a handlful of small hail dents that they said would be done within a week. Never communicated with us when they needed to keep the vehicle longer and we live out of town. So we have to call EVERY SINGLE TIME to make sure the vehicle would be ready WHEN THEY SAID IT WOULD BE. And multiple times we heard from this lady "I don't know who gave you that date" lady you did. We live out of town. We aren't just making up random ass dates to waste our time, money, and gas not to mention that the days we had to take off from work. All just because YOU couldn't communicate that more time was needed MULTIPLE TIMES. I genuinely hope this place goes out of business so other people don't have to experience the true nightmare that this place is. read more

got in a car crash last night (a Sunday night) and did drop off service since the shop was closed, called this morning and dealt with the RUDEST CSR ever! She said they haven't even had a chance to look at my car so I called again 3 hours later and she said they wouldn't even be able to give me a quote for several DAYS...a QUOTE..and my car was not drivable.... I have read several people mention about this really rude operator...why does she still have a job?! I decided to take my car to Greeley Collision and the operator was so sweet, hoping the rest of the process is as smooth! read more

Three strikes: they are OUT. I took our car to Abra because they were recommended by the insurance agency when I filed a claim against one of their insured who hit our car. It took almost three months to get the car in for repairs. I was told this was because of a backlog from a hail storm some months ago. I can accept that. And the insurance repairs were fine. But additional repairs are the issue. Strike 1: I got an estimate for the accident, and while I was there I got estimates on other repairs tp the front bumper and hood. I booked the repairs and waited three months to get it in. After a few days I got a call from Abra with the news that their estimating software had neglected to add in the cost of a new bumper and it would be so much extra. The car had already been in the shop for several days without anything being done. I reluctantly agreed to the additional cost, but I wondered about how estimating software could make such a mistake when the job was to replace and paint a new bumper. Strike 2: I inspected the repair work when I went to pick up the car. There was dust particles in the paint and scuff marks on the new bumper. Someone came out and buffed out the flaws. One piece of the front bumper assembly that was not damaged when I brought it in was now scuffed up like it had been slid across a concrete floor. And the front license plate bracket was broken. Abra reluctantly agreed to fix the new damage, and I scheduled an appointment several weeks in advance when it would be convenient to bring the car back in. They said the repairs would be made quickly since it was so minor. Strike 3: I brought the car back in for the appointment. After three days I called to see if it was ready to pick up. I was told the car was still waiting to go into the shop. It had not been touched. And the Abra agent now disputed that the damage was caused by their technician who reinstalled the bumper. I was not told how much longer the car would be sitting there before it went into the shop, but was left with the impression that it would be when they got around to it. I indicated that this was unacceptable and retrieved the car. In fairness, I must add that the agent was always polite and never rude to me. But I will never go back to Abra for anything else. read more

It did take forever!!! But this was due to my car. They kept me updated on a very regular and needed bases without to excessive calling (I can't stand calls everyday) and went into detail on all the work and delay. read more

I would probably give no stars if that was an option! Customer service was horrible. No communication from them at all until I called to find out what was going on. My car sat there for over a week with out even an estimate being done. When I did finally speak with someone he was rude, wouldn't let me talk and argued with me about when my car had been brought into the shop. I told him what I had been told my other employees and he basically said well they lied to you. In the end I had my car moved to another shop, estimate was completed within an hour of the car being there. My recommendation is take your car somewhere else!!! read more

So so so abysmally bad. Told us they would call to give us an appointment within a month. Six weeks later we had to call. Apparently someone decided our call was driveable so they put us in a six month queue. The associate decided for us that because they didnt call us we wanted our car removed from the queue. He also said he didnt want us as a customer because we'd call every month. When I pointed out we called because they didnt call as promised and please leave it in the queue since we've waited so long he said maybe we're not the shop for you. The next day I called the manager and yes the associate on his own took the car out of the queue. If I could give this place.......-10 stars, believe me when I tell you, I would. They had my vehicle over 50-Days!!! To fix a bumper- when I received my vehicle back I noticed that my oil reading said I had 53% until service. RED FLAG! It was at 86% when I took it in. I called ONSTAR, they track daily driving miles. My car had been being driven by someone at their shop!! I was FURIOUS!! I called the shop manager who told me they didn't have my car the dates onstar indicated... obviously not, probably one of their employees who doesn't own a vehicle! I had the paperwork I dropped my car off to them and they show my car being received almost a month later, ARE YOU KIDDING ME? The emblem on the back of my car was broken off, the vehicle was to be detailed and if it was, it was horrible! The lights on the front of my 7-month-old vehicle have completely bad seals in place now- I could go on and on. The manager told me ONSTAR was wrong!! Are you serious? ONSTAR logged hundreds of miles that were driven - on my car while in ABRA'S POSSESSION!!!!! They told me they would NOT review cameras to see who had been driving my car and that I could not prove anything!! My transmission seems off now, ---again- the vehicle was only a few months old when I took it in and no previous issues. The hood is hinky now and the bumper still looks like crap!! Do NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THESE SCHEISTER'S!!! From the girl at the desk who acts like you are a HUGE INCONVENIENCE when trying to schedule or ask about getting your vehicle back to the service manager! I am NOT sure how they are still in BUSINESS!! Unethical, inflated costing and insurance fraud!! Not to mention my new car will never be the same!! read more

My experience with Abra was terrible for so many reasons. First, I had to book the appointment to fix my car 45 days after my initial estimate. Secondly, I called two days after dropping my car off to get an estimate on when it would be done and they hadn't even touched my car. My insurance covered a rental, but only for five days. At that point, they told me the actual work on my car would take a week. I told them that was unacceptable and I needed their guarantee that it would be done sooner or they were not to work on my car and I'd find another provider. We all agreed and the work began. My car ended up being in their shop for a total of 10 days! Four days after picking my car up, my front bumper started falling off...which led to yet another trip to Abra for them to fix their mistake. I also requested to pay for a new windshield when my car was in the shop. They told me they would do it, but only if I paid cash. They would not bill my insurance, when their corporate website indicates they will. I actually ended up having to pay a third party provider to replace my windshield in their parking lot - awkward. In short, they said all the right things in a irritatingly pleasant manner but they lied on the timing and services they offer and the end result was a second trip for them to fix their mistake. I had a repair job done in 2010: left rear quarter which had previously been bondoed then needed redone due to a parking lot ding. Abra had no problem taking my money and making the car look pretty. Now that the bondo has started to crack, they won't honor the guarantee because it was a repair of a repair. Would have been nice to know this before the work was done. Would have been nicer if they had made an attempt to provide a permanent fix when they had the chance, rather than slap a 1500 dollar bandaid on it. read more

I was going to say that the the only reason to go to this shop is if your insurance company will guarantee their work, but I don't think even that's enough. I'm an idiot and I rear-ended someone. Sucks for me, but hey, there's a first time for everything, and that's why I have full collision coverage. Enter Abra--they're the local shop that's guaranteed by Geico. Sounds like the wise choice. I dropped my car off on 11/27 and didn't get it back until 1/3 (39 days). During this time, I had to call regularly to get any sort of update from Abra. I think the longest I went with no update at all was just over a week. When I did call, the response was usually , "Oh, [name] is in a meeting, can I take a message?" I'd leave a message, and generally not hear back until the next day. I think maybe once or twice toward the end they called, but that's only because they had given me firm dates of when it would be done, and they were calling to tell me that it was going to be later than they said. My insurance covered a rental during this period, but only for 30 days. Despite the fact that the delay was Abra's fault (they hadn't even started inspecting my car for nearly 2 weeks after I dropped it off), Abra only covered 3 extra days for my rental, and that was more the rental company's doing than Abra's. Eventually, I had to return the rental and just figure it out while I dealt with their nebulous timeline for when I would have a vehicle back. The quality of the work overall seems passable, and the work is supposed to be guaranteed if anything comes up when you take your vehicle home. I had several issues come up, so I made a list and brought it back to the shop. One-by-one they found ways to explain away the new 'symptoms' my car was having, of course suggesting that they are not related to the accident/repair. Unfortunately, it doesn't matter that these issues are new beyond a shadow of a doubt on my side--they will not be repaired under the warranty. Oh, that's all but one of them: My car started making a strange clicking sound when I was turning at any speed over ~10mph. Turns out there was a screwdriver lodged somewhere in the suspension. "We looked at it, and it's not my tech's screwdriver. We use XXXX brand, so it can't be *ours*... but you're welcome to the screwdriver." Overall, I will never be bringing my car back there if I can avoid it. I'm battling between giving them one or two stars, because they were never overtly rude like some businesses can be, even if they're still poor communicators. However, I think I have to go with one because I'm offended by the suggestion that I would lie about new symptoms. read more
