Unfortunately the only abracadabra is that when you work for the company they decide if you'll be paid and if they don't want to pay you then abracadabra you are out the $300 that was earned by my daughter cleaning houses. My wife Melanie worked for Iris for a few months. At first Iris was great, honored cancelations with pay, was open and communicated great. Issues really started when it came time for our wedding. Iris knew the days she needed off for the wedding. She still scheduled her and when Melanie told her she could not work, she said she would need to deduct pay. Not right considering she was given ample notice. Iris would promise work then the morning of cancel. This stared to weigh on my wife as she just wanted to work. It then became an issue of payment. for the last couple of weeks, she has not been paid. When my wife would call or text her, no answer. Finally when she does answer, her nice tone changed. She has refused to pay my wife for 10 hours of work., and has gone as far as threaten her that she can find her. She has done an amazing job for Iris, her customers love her for the work she does. To pull a move like this on a hard working and dedicated employee is beyond me. read more

They are thieves. I hired them to clean, they stole lots jewelry from my bedroom closets, which they shouldn't have been in. They went through all my bathroom cabinets, which they shouldn't have been in as they were surface cleaning. I phoned to complain to Iris and she told me she cant be responsible for 3rd party vendor they hired but the people she hired closed doors and went thru my personal stuff, pocketing any jewelry they could the day of my son's communion. Now, we realized my husband's diamond wedding bands are missing, as are other precious pieces. We will file a police report. The team that came to clean my home after my tenants left were great. They were prompt, friendly, and worked super hard as the condition of the home was left less than stellar. On top of that, it was super easy to schedule an estimate and walk thru with the main office. We had the Abracadabra team come by for a basic clean of my in laws' house, which included three bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room, kitchen, den and dining room. They did an AWESOME job! Beautiful job by Iris and the crew! I have not been able to clean for months as I approach the end tail of my pregnancy, and my house has been absolutely filthy. My bathroom was especially disastrous with its thick layer of dust stuck to the floor because of the dampness in the room and mold growing in the crevices of the shower tiles. It took them hours to clean the whole house, but my house has NEVER been this clean. Iris and the crew were also incredibly nice. I immediately felt comfortable leaving them in my house to do their thing. I don't do this lightly, as I feel nervous even leaving my own relatives alone at my house. Iris and her team did a fantastic job deep cleaning my home. They went the extra mile - thoughtfully organizing our belongings, cleaning every nook and cranny and pointing out any areas that might need fixing (e.g., the grout around the shower was worn out). Our home was spotless and absolutely no corners were cut. We were even having an issue with bees in one of the rooms and I told Iris they could skip that room - she cleaned the room perfectly even though she encountered more bees. This was my first time using any cleaning service and I chose this company based on the high review rating and they delivered! They really scrubbed down everything. I am pretty sure they got every nook and cranny- from dust bunnies to dog hair to oven grease. This is exactly the service I was looking for. Unfortunately because life has been extra busy lately, my house chores have taken a back seat and I really felt overwhelmed which is what led me to this. It was well worth it and although I plan on staying on top of my house cleaning from now on, I would absolutely use them periodically for an extra good scrub down. They work very hard and I will be referring them to friends. Owner, Iris, was very easy to communicate with and kept her appointment. Side note: if you have pets or excessive pet hair, mention it up front as this may alter the cost due to extra time it takes for them to clean it. Very efficient and a great team.
