Had a very bad experience with the ER/Hospital back in 2014/5 time frame. Vowed never to go anywhere near this place again. Was known then as the West Valley Hospital. Had to take my wife in for an endoscopy procedure because her doc (Amy Solomon) did it here. Was amazed at the change in this place. Never left us alone for more than a few seconds. Kept me updated on the progress. Showed and explained the follow up data. Unbelievable change in attitude and professionalism. Have also got to compliment the volunteer guy at the front door. Knows this place inside and out and was extremely helpful during the x-in procedure. Might even consider becoming a volunteer here. No words for Doc Solomon... best gastro in the area! Pray to God that this was not a one time experience at Abrazo Medical Center. read more

My 89 year old father fell at home in the PM.... Called 911 and they were there within minutes. They checked him out on the outside with an ekg and all was well, despite the blood and a knocked out tooth and the passing out! Paramedics said to bring him to ER to get a cat scan of his head. Because I feared the worst, I brought him to Abrazo ER on a Monday night. Had someone help dad out of the car and into a wheelchair only to find out his emergency was not bad enough to be seen right away. Of course we're thinking a brain bleed because he hit his head so hard. after an hour or so finally got to triage where they took vitals...just as the EMTs did when I called them to the house. Then went back out to the lobby to wait with the about 30 other people in the waiting room. I accessed the damage to my dad and figured if he had a brain bleed here...right now in the waiting room....I'd rather him be comfortable in his own bed at home with us! I knew from experience that he wasn't getting inside to be treated for many, many more hours. And that doesn't even count trying to get him in room to be admitted. So, my dilemma....89 years old , head injury, nobody paying attention to him, my call was to go home to his wife and his own bed and relax and sleep.!...long story short...Thank God so far he is good!!! But what the hell is going on with our neighborhood ER? There were people before us that was waiting over 4-5 hours! That before getting through the double doors to even see a doctor. Took my son in last night for sever stomach pain flu like symptoms and left worse .. why would a dr order Benadryl for stomach pain he had a bad reaction to it and it was horrible .. We left with the same problem and added one more . The dr. Was rude and had no sympathy and kept saying the reaction you had is normal . will never go there again I'm sure now I'll get a million dollar bill for nothing . read more

I went to the emergency dept. on June 24, 2019. The dept. had a Physician Assistant ( not a medical doctor ) who attended to patients. He talked down to me when I was asking him some questions about the results of my cath scan and lab works. If he was supervising that department he was doing a HORRIBLE job. He even tried to educate me on what " emergency " means. He suggested not to have a cath scan every six months ( it's too frequent ) and prescribed OXYCODONE even though my back pain has subsided. I'm not going back to this facility if I have a choice in the future. read more

A horrible place. If you don't have insurance they just don't care about you in any way at all. They put an external fixture device on my leg and didn't tell me that they wouldn't take it off until I paid $5000. So they basically held my leg hostage until I could come up with thousands of dollars. Nobody that works there communicates with anybody else or knows what's going on. To the reviewer Richard M. I've been a nurse for 12yrs, and been at Abrazo West for 8. I've worked side by side with Kelly for six years, and find him to be without question one of the best RT's I've ever worked with. I've seen him hold the hand of a woman dying that had no family there. I've seen him not only skip lunch several times, but buy lunch for a family member that had no money. Every Viet Nam vet that comes here, he makes it his mission to visit with them. He's also a very talented song writer, and gives each vet a special song on cd he wrote about their sacrifice and patriotism. He has been recognized many, many times in his six years here. An RT for decades, I wonder how many in total. Patients actually ask for him by name. He has also been nominated for a daisy award, due to his understanding and compassion. The Daisy award is for nursing excellence but, administration deemed it necessary to recognize an RT. (amazing man) I showed your grammatically incorrect review to every employee on staff today, and 100% of them know him and worked with him extensively. They think you're just an unhappy man. God blessed this man with the talent and EVERY facet of people skills for any type of patient. Sadly, he has moved on to another Abrazo facility. There were some issues that added stress, such as being in the ER for almost 11 hours. My wife was having an acute appendicitis attack, and there seemed to be no sense of urgency. We were later told that because of her vital signs, they believed her appendix was not likely to rupture anytime soon. This information would have be nice to know sooner. Also, there were very little vegetarian menu items for patient meals, and some miscommunications. HOWEVER, what we will take away from the experince, more than anything, is the level of kindness and care we received!!! We are so grateful to so many people!!! Specifically, kudos and THANK YOU to the following people- our surgeon, Dr Zehtab, and his resident surgeon, Dr Alt. They both gave us thorough information, and treated our needs very respectfully. Nurses- Sarah Beth (ER), Crestin, Ervinia, Cristen, Dana, Jen and Madelynn. Also Alisha in the ER, these women treated us with kindness, patience, and compassion!!! We were scared, and stressed, and exhausted!! These people I mentioned, and many whose name I don't have, made a very traumatic experience much less terrible!! I had to go to the emergency room to rule out mini strokes. The ER in buckeye was good and very busy but got to me soon understanding the need for immediate attention . They did some tests and then sent me to to the west campus. I was immediately admitted and it was 1 am. Did fantastic starts up. Next morning was a day of lots of tests. By the last tests I was exhausted. Had dinner and rested which also meant I would stay another day. I must acknowledge my daytime primary nurse Michael. He was fantastic and had the best bedside manners that was a 10 out of 10. The next day Michael did a fantastic job to get me discharged by 11 am. My experience was a 4 out of 5. I was taken to this hospital via ambulance and straight to the trauma unit on Sunday around 3-4pm. The trauma team is great. They kept me informed and even help me laugh through the stress. I can't remember the names of this team but thank you. After being moved around a little bit I finally ended up on med surg and Darlene was my nurse. Let's just say this beautiful soul is amazing! I wish I had gotten to say goodbye to her. Darlene is a "traveler" I really hope she sees this so I can tell her how thankful I am. She went above and beyond and I could tell how much she loves her job. Thank you Brian (PCA) for not waking me to get vitals and when you did need them you were so gentle with my road rash. Thank you Deonna (RN) for your bubbly attitude and Wendy (pca) for helping me when Deonna wasn't available. Bobbie (pt) thank you for getting me out of that room for a walk I needed that. Lary thank you for taking my abuse and getting my vein the first try (BTW your wife's name is great! go Hillary's!) thank you also for the laughter! Dr. Shaterian thank you for taking the time to explain what was going to happen to me. You calmed my nerves completely. And last but certainly not least the night shift charge nurse Audra. You girl were the perfect person I needed. Bubbly and down to earth I really appreciated our conversations! This hospital had some amazing people. If you're pregnant and looking for a hospital to deliver your baby go to Abrazo West !!! Last year was supposed to deliver my baby at banner hospital but after a bad experience I had gone to abrazo , and it was the best choice my husband and I could make ! That staff was extremely helpful& nice! When I first got there all I had to do was fill out a few forms and was seen right away! They said I was 7cm dilated and was transferred to a private room. Very clean and spacious !! No limit in how many people could be in the room . While I had contractions the nurse gave me the BEST back massages and when I got the epidural the doctor was very patient (I was a nervous reck) and professional . It was so quick it didn't hurt at all !! I just LOVED LOVED LOVED THIS PLACE ! After I had my baby... no one told me how my body would react after... I was bleeding so much making a mess and the nurses made me feel comfortable and never complained about cleaning up and I just can't get over what great treatment they gave me !!! To top it off on our last day there they have me and my husband a special dinner with champagne and amazing food !! read more

Would give a 0 if I could. Took my sister here yesterday in extreme pain in her bones, nausea, productive cough, 25lb weight loss and shortness of breath. We thought her Fungal infection spread to her bones and thats y she was sick. Saw Dr for 2 minutes explained all of the above. They dismissed the heart (heart stint) and everything else but the shortness of breath. They took blood test and did a CT scan and showed her lungs were okay. Dr said nothing was wrong with her to go home. She wasnt going to prescribe pain meds because of the new laws because she wasnt allowed to and because she felt my sister didnt need it, even know she was crying so badly because of the pain. (she already had some at home anyway for her arthritis) So my sister left in tears and worse pain then when she came. She was given some pain meds earlier but they didnt work. Nurse was rude. She went for test and it took me to find the nurse to hook her back up to everything. Nurse just didnt care it was horrible. So that night I took her to our local hospital because she was so bad. They admitted her ran a bone scan and did a biopsy turns out there is something wrong. The big "C". So thanks Abrazo and Dr. Shock for nothing. SMFH. Worst hospital ever, somehow my husband got stuck up there at that horrible hospital they've left them in a room after they did x-rays forgot about him for over an hour finally he had to wheel him self out in the wheelchair and get back to his room somehow the nurses are really nasty, now he's just trying to get some medication approved so he can come they said the insurance company will take over a week to approve it I called the insurance company they said they would approve it immediately if they would mark urgent incident paperwork in, the administrator Will never come down and talk to him I am reporting this hospital, no one should go to this horrible hospital read the reviews that other people have left read more

Do not recommend Abrazo. Usually go to Banner but thought we give Abrazo a chance. Staff is friendly but do not communicate with patients or family. Checked in room by 8pm after hour and a half wait which understandable they are busy. Later Daughter was left unhooked from fluids to give a urine sample and no one rehooked fluids back which she needed. No one came back to check on her for 2 hours and hard to flag someone down to come check her. Only time was able to get someone was when they came back to take her for an ultra sound at 11pm and let someone know. Finally after 15 minutes of ultra sound tech notifying them someone finally came over. They make you feel uncomfortable and not want to stay. It is worth to drive a little further to a different hospital. read more

So my spouse suffers from Cyclical Vomiting Syndrome which can flare at any given time. Well this Holiday weekend it decided to flare. Being from Los Angels only here for a mini Vacation we were super hesitant to come to the ER, but treatments at home weren't doing any justice. I gave birth here back in April & hated it, was there 5 days & only had two good nurses. The rest could care less about me during labor & after. My first nurse whose name I wish I remembered was so rough while checking me to see if I was dilated & did a lot of things to me without asking for permission first. When she saw I had no progress she didn't come back the rest of the night she was assigned to me. My second night nurse would come check on me ever 2/3 hours while I had high blood pressure & a fever. When my water broke she didn't even bother to change the pad under me that was bloody & wet. My mother had to do it. & didn't come back to my room as well until I called & my mom told her I was turning pale then the nurse panicked.. I feel like I wouldn't have gotten that bad if she was attentive. Darla during the day & Hannah at night were AMAZING I give them 5 stars. No one came to my room in all 5 days to clean either, you'd think a hospital had higher standards for sanitation. read more

My mother went to this hospital because it was the closes to her. My mother doesn't speak English so she needed an interpreter. Which they told her they did not have any. So they had her wait 2 hours in the waiting room with her pain. And when she finally was brought into a check room. They treated her badly. Ignoring her and being racist towards her that she didn't have a ssn. So I had to come to the hospital to help her because no one was there to help her. And as soon as I got there and was in the room with my mother I encounter the nurse who was rude to her and told her we wanted a different nurse and she got mad said "ok" she didn't do nothing to her and left room. Doctor came in a few minutes later and apologize was very friendly and was very apologetic towards us. As I was walking out I asked the nurse who attend my mother for her name (Lorena) and with a flamboyant air denied and said there was a lot of nurses who work there. Which I replied back I know it's you. I saw your face when you came to the her room and We didn't want your service but wanted another nurse. With a arrogant and sarcastic way gave me her name and laugh as I walk out of the ER with my mother. I was surprised of how inhuman and racist people can be. You are working at a hospital to help sick people not be more of a pain and treat them less just because of their language difference. read more

If i can state the bad i will state the good as well. By the way this post is long over due, and also i am a former Tenet Health employee. In October 2016 i was cared for by the ED they saved my life. I honestly gave up on them, on life really and on purpose, while receiving a sternum rub i looked up at the nurse perfoming the procedure exhaled and closed my eyes. It wouldn't have been their fault if things had turned out differently. I had been back since to hopefully thank the right Doctor, but the staff should be awares as well thank you. read more

I think I'll die before I go to this hospital again. Rude doctors, they didn't communicate well at all and sssssllllllloooooowwwww as could be. The billing department is ridiculous. They send a bill, I make a payment. That is very normal, right? Not there, they want you to call them to tell them you are making a payment. They don't tell you this bit of info though. They are threatening to send my account to collections now, I have made payments every time they have sent a bill, usually between 25 and 33% of the original total. Wish I could give zero stars. I had the unfortunate experience of injuring my back and winding up in their ER. I first called urgent care to ask if they could treat me, they panicked and recommended going to the hospital so I regretfully trudged my whole family in on a Saturday afternoon. Mind you, during flu season and into a waiting room full of hacking people (yes we all ended up with influenza the next week). The nurse staff was kind but the PA I saw, oh I'm sorry-'dr'-was very rude and unhelpful. Without running any tests to set my mind at ease he referred me to a physician for a procedure that I had already had done in the past. He did not make me feel any better and I left with the nagging and uncertain feeling that I had seriously injured my back and I was going to have to go to the ER again that night. Horrible treatment. To add insult to injury they entered in the wrong date of birth and it was a huge ordeal getting it changed to meet hippa standards. We thought we had it straightened out until 5 months later when I was applying for a home loan and they didn't know which was my correct birthdate because of this stupid hospital's mistake. The final clincher is this:we paid our bill in full but they didn't mark it correctly and sent us to collections for 1 cent. Yes that's right folks, you read that correctly. When we called them to straighten it out she said 'it shows its paid in full'. Then why am I having a collection agency call me for a penny. I will never return. Ever. read more

Congratulations you receive the worst hospital reward! My wife came into this hospital emergency room where she waited to see the doctor. The care that she received at this place was none. She laid in the hospital bed with no information as to what we were waiting for. She was given lots of jello and ameneties from the kitchen. We updated the emergency contact list and awaited for the doctor. The next day came around with no word from my wife and her phone no longer working even when given a battery pack and charger before leaving. I call the hospital wanting to know how my wife was doing. Multiple phone calls were placed to get the right department. The reason could be resolved if they listened, processed the information and then offereed to transfer and to let us know what department and then most importantly wait for us to give the confirmation before transfer. Not only did I find out my wife was no longer a patient at this hospital, but was moved and when asked why they never contacted anyone of her family from their contact request they all shrug their shoulders and say they weren't there when it happened and that they have no information for me. Even being her husband they give you a phone number to call the Grief center for more information. Except they forget to tell you they are closed to the public during the weekend so you have to use the option to talk to an on call nurse who can not give any information about the patient. When calling and waiting for what to do next in the hospital parking lot. Security asks me to leave or the cops will get me for trespassing. I asked for what and he said I made the nurses uncomfortable. Not sure what that implies when their was never any hostility. Never told to leave, I was given the information with no luck. I finally get ahold of my wife and find out she has been trying to have them call me, but they refused and asked for them to call someone else knowing that we just had moved here and had no family within a days drive. After them releasing her after 72 hours they still refused to call her husband and sent her out of the hospital without any information to where her stuff was. My wife was traumatized and will never go back to this hospital afterwards. Really wish I could rate this a zero. read more

Having Lupus, I am a regular in emergency rooms. What can I say, I need to marry a doctor this next time around! I didn't appreciate that I had to remind them over and over that I had a morphine allergy, and what happens when I have morphine. As well as screaming in pain and being told that "it's all in my head"!! Really?! Ok, whatever... Lesson learned, the doctor was great, the nurses as well, but the triage and desk girl, awful. They really need to be more "patient" ( no pun intended!) with patients, not all of us are in there for a drug fix, educate yourselves bout Lupus and be nicer to your patients, without us, you wouldn't have a job. ;) read more

This has been a devastating few years. It started with me leaving my career as a Firefighter/Paramedic to start my Career as emergency Flight Paramedic. For my first flight, first time in a helicopter the motor shut off at 3k ft. Falling out of the sky did an Auto rotating crash landing tearing the helicopter apart. We all survived 2 of us with back injuries. After being threatened with my job if I filed workman's comp. I got treatment on own. Ending up at West Valley Hospital CT, X-rays and Pain Meds. they gave me to much pain medication and I quit breathing (died) they were able to recessitate me. I woke up in the ICU 3 days later. In fear of what happened dazed and confused. I left west valley and continued treatment at Banner hospital. I ended up in west valley hospital 4 more times (not by choice the Ambulance decided since it was closest) over 4 year span with major abdominal, back and nerve issues. Because my medical record showed an overdose they treated me like a drug seeker being rude, talking down to me and said "if your here for pain Meds I see you were in here with an over dose so we will not give you pain Meds so if that's what your looking for you can keep looking"I never asked for them ever asked for anything accept to find out what's wrong. in fact I was in fear of getting Meds from them so I would of refused them. I've never been treated so bad made me feel like I was doing something wrong, I felt ashamed when I did nothing to deserve that. Later I found out They had hired new nursing graduates to work the ER often left them alone with minimal experience having to track down another nurse to make sure they had given patient care correctly. Me listening to it all from my ER room with curtain walls. Save your time and money and maybe your life and go to another hospital. In 2013 my wife went in to labor early. Having a prolapsed cord (delivering the umbilical cord before the baby). She was prepped for an emergency C-section, it went well thank God. Not sure if someone or something was not sterile because she ended up with a postpartum infection they sent her home within 3 hours, she had a fever of 105 and was re-admitted to the hospital for a week. They gave her 3 IV bags of Antibiotics a day for 4 days in a row killing her infection but also killing her good Bacteria making her sick again with GI issues and led to a Seizure. she was sent home still not feeling so well. On her second day home she was standing and holding our New Born baby to her chest. I was walking away to the restroom when I heard a thud and our Baby started Screaming. I turned around our baby was on the floor and so was my wife she was having a full blown seizure. And never had one before in her life. Our baby appeared to be ok thank God. But the seizure my wife was having made her quit breathing her mouth was clinched shut she turned blue then grayish/white. I called 911 watching the time 4 minutes had passed and the convolutions finely stopped leaving her pale lifeless body laying there. I attempted to give her breaths through her nose (Her jaw was still clinched shut) I had no success then at 4 minutes and 34 seconds (felt like an hour) her nose flared and she began to get her color back. She was taken to west valley hospital it was the closest hospital. They watched her for 20 minutes and said to us "it probably wasn't a seizure" and said to a co-worker as they walked away another seeker. We were in disbelief. So they discharged her from the ER we got in the car just pulled out of the parking lot and she had another seizure in the car. So I quickly pulled back in the Ambulance entrance. I walked in and yelled my wife is actively seizing please help. One young guy walked fast out and everyone else stood and stared at me one said how did you get in here you need to use the main entrance. They stopped the seizure ended up admitting her for 2 days and started her on Seizure meds. They were a bit nicer but not much. The possible causes for her seizures were Meds they gave her or the large amounts of antibiotics. After all this we decided to move away from west valley insurance covered most of the bills we never got a bill for the hospital stays assuming it was covered or since they made so many mistakes they didn't charge us. We got a letter from an attorney we had owed $200 but they had our address wrong so we never got the bill after calling multiple times going to the billing dept. And they refused to see us said it was too late to pay it. they turned it in to collections just like that $200 turned in to $4,000 in fees and now that I'm selling my house they put a lien on my house and are taking it out of our equity. Our equity is our life savings! all of our savings is gone from time missed at work and loosing our jobs due to medical issues.! Wow! Talk about sucking a person dry and sucking the life from them! My wife had to go to er due to extreme stomach pain. The er staff diagnosed her with diverticulitis and had her admitted and put on antibiotics. We found the hospitalist very difficult to communicate with. The long and short of it is: my wife was discharged on th e7th day there and within a week was in St. Josephs hospital where she was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. She passed away from the cancer 90 days after the diagnosis. How can a person go to an er (west valley) and be diagnosed with diverticulitis and not the cancer? The locals in the west valley have nicknamed the place death valley hospital. read more

I had a bad experience with this hospital. I took my boyfriend to the ER in July because he was having severe pain on his right side by his abdomen, so severe that he passed out from the pain. We got there at 3:30 am and didn't get a room until about 6 hours later although we were told there were plenty of rooms available. I was trying to explain to the Dr. we initially spoke to that my boyfriend thought the issue was caused by his appendix, because his mother also had the same symptoms he had, and hers had ruptured while she was hospitalized, along with a few other family members as well. Basically addressing my concerns. While sitting and waiting with my boyfriend, I overheard the Dr. saying to a lady at the front desk, "I think we have a doctor over here" (referring to me) in a very sarcastic tone, and the lady responding back with "Be nice". When we got his room a day later, another nurse who was getting my boyfriend prepped for surgery was incredibly rude to me, instead of kindly being told I couldn't bring our daughter up to his room for safety reasons (which I completely didn't think about at the time, being under a lot of stress due to my boyfriend's condition), gave me unnecessary attitude and was a complete jerk. My boyfriend's mother and I looked at one another in shock at the treatment I received. My boyfriend was there for a few days, because none of the doctors could figure out what was wrong with him. He was convinced he had appendicitis.The surgeon finally consulted with my boyfriend and decided that if he truly thought he had appendicitis, they would remove the appendix. A day after the surgery, no more pain in that area! There were some really nice nurses as well, and the surgeon was very polite and actually took our concerns into account. However, most of the service we received was horrible and I would not recommend this hospital to anyone. Go to Banner Estrella instead, they have consistently good service. read more

I will NEVER step foot in this facility again. If I could give a negative star I would. This hospital makes money on fraudulent charges. I'm new to the Phoenix area so I googled the nearest hospital from Buckeye in my insurance network for my son. I told the check in ladies that I wasnt sure if this was the correct facility, At NO time before or during check in did any of the intake staff say that this emergency room had NO pediatric staff. But why would they?? No, lets bring him into a facility that KNOWS they cant treat him and bill for unnecessary bs. My son was in NO cardiac or respiratory emergency (due to HIPPA, i wont disclose his condition) however they could have easily said this was not a facility to assist a child with his issue. Instead, they had him in a bed in the hallway, kept him for over 3 hours and then transferred him to a Children's hospital. A nurse even has the nerve to ask if she could take one of his monitors, bc she had another patient that needed it. Really?? Had the intake staff mentioned that they dont treat children or had signage that NO PEDIATRIC STAFF were in their facility, I could have had treatment for my son, which required surgery sooner. They wasted 3 hours, leaving my son in more pain, for a surgery that could have very well been life or death. They did NOTHING for my son, but sent me a $1200 bill WITH an unnecessary ambulance bill. I brought one of my patients here that was suicidal. The wait was pretty long... The one thing that caught me by surprise is the nurse that allowed my client to go outside that was "suicidal" go outside to smoke a cigarett after I told her that she was suicidal she continued to tell her yes. I told the nurse she should not be outside due to being suicidal and thanks for making such a horrible decision as she could just run in front of a car and thank you. As I walked out the nurse said your welcome. The waiting area was so little it was a little unclean. There wasn't a whole lot of space to sit people had to stand up. read more

This hospital kills people. They don't care what you have as long as you come in your just putting more money in their checks. Saw one nurse that looked irradiated and didn't like her job. I politely asked for a chair from one of the nurses and she scoffed and rolled her eyes at me, and I told her excuse me don't be getting upset and rolling your eyes at with me and she tried to play it off like she didn't do nothing. So I really don't recommend this place. Horrible. read more

Horrible wait time in er (Several HOURS). Staff acted like they could not possibly have cared less about the people in their care. They allowed screeching playing kids to make noise for hours climb on furniture and rush around into peoples little curtained cubby holes where they stack patients like worthless books and when asked about a time frame smiled smugly and shrugged. Worth going anywhere else. A longer drive is worth it for better care. I wouldn't send an enemy to this place. read more

My 90 year old dad was admitted with a hip fracture. He had surgery on Friday and was cleared for rehab/skilled nursing on Sunday. We were supposedly assigned an advocate but the phone number the nurses reluctantly gave us on Monday went to an unattended line. We finally managed to get our advocate's direct line on Tuesday and she sent over some options in our area. After one more interaction regarding the facilities, we never heard from her again. She had a day off and supposedly someone was covering for her. That person never reached out and we never heard from the advocate again. By now we realized that nobody was going to help so we did our own research and after many phone calls and internet searches, we found a place for my dad and he was transferred that day. I had to have the nurse reach out to the advocate to get the paperwork done!! He was released 4 days after the doctor approved his transfer. It is really unacceptable to treat patients with such disregard. If our family had not been involved, your hospital would have let him sit there with minimum rehab for God knows how long!! Of all the people that we were in contact with during his stay, I never thought the patient advocate would be the one that showed the least consideration for their elderly patient!! If I could give this place -5 stars I would. My grandmother was hospitalized here for chest pains. They treated her horribly. They would not give her medicine for pain or anything else for that matter. All they seemed to do were "tests" that never had any results. The doctors were rude (specifically heard a doctor tell another patient's family member that he had better things to than take care of their relative- hello you are a DOCTOR!) and nurses were clueless. They told my mother that my grandmother's heart doctor and primary care doctor would be contacted right away. THIS DID NOT HAPPEN!!! HER REGULAR PHYSICIANS WERE NOT NOTIFIED ABOUT ANYTHING!!! This is a horrible hospital with questionable practices only in it for the money. read more

I will give birth to all of my children here. I had a C - section at this hospital. I can't get over how well the hospital staff treated me. My little bundle of joy got the best treatment. The hospital is very clean. I was able to follow my birthing plan. The food was even good considering it's hospital food lol. If I could give the birthing department more stars I would. read more

I recently had a baby here and couldn't be happier with the hospital. Every single person I encountered in my 4 days was excellent. The Maternity ward nurses were spectacular. The doctors I dealt with were so caring and thorough. I ended up having an emergency while there and everything went well. read more

I have had a surgery with overnight stay here and a visit to the ER which I'm basing my review off of. Starting with the surgery, I really appreciated the professionalism and care that I received. All of the staff that watched over me during my entire experience were both caring and knowledgeable of their job and the condition that I was in. They did their best to help ease my pain, and to keep me feeling as good as I could under the circumstances. My ER visit was just a great. They were extremely thorough in trying to figure out what had happened to me, even though in the end they were not sure, but they ruled out all of the really bad outcomes, which I appreciated. I was taken back quite fast when I arrived, even though I wasn't bleeding or having a major problem at the time. Yes, we were there for many hours, but they also ran many tests during that time, so it's understandable, especially since very serious cases came in during my time there. I'm glad this is my local hospital if I should ever need them. read more

Absolutely terrible hospital. wouldn't even recommended coming here if you were dying. the nurses here except t 1 or 2 of them just have disgusting personalities and are only here for the money.they dont put any effort into making you comfortable at all and they are all extremely rude. ive been promised multiple times that id get something that day but it never comes. its also very annoying that they are so understaffed. ive hit my nurse button several times and had to wait at most an hour and a half for something that i needed. i also have a ton of road rash from my bike accident and no one changed the dressing on them for days. no one here knows what they are doing and it is filled with college students who truly dont care at all. i have been here for more than a week and i am absolutely miserable here. i truly would not recommend this hospital. please stay away from this nasty foul place. read more

This Is the worse Hospital I have ever been to! I have heard awefull stories and they are so true that it is so sad to have seen it myself! RN'S are the rudest most disrespectful uncaring no smiles no concerns in them at all. I will NEVER want any of my family members, ANY of them to come here! I read what their mission is BUT they are not even close to achieving that mission. I personally know a few RN'S in my family and have had other RN'S care for my family at other hospitals and they act with alot of concern, compassion and patience towards everyone involved with that patient West Valley is beyond the worst! Never again will we return! They don't even deserve a Star! read more
