I emailed your company yesterday, and I got a call back almost immediately, the lady I spoke with…read moreyesterday was so kind and understanding about my situation, I mean she was super sweet, the entire conversation..and she told me your company would love to help me and that she had spoken with the director and everything looked good, and that they just wanted to cover the insurance bases, and told me she would check to see if my insurance covered what I needed (in home mental health therapist on occasion) and if my insurance didn't cover it or didn't cover all of it, she said I would get a call back to go over fee schedules and how often I can be seen and such.. I hung up feeling nervous but happy that I would finally be getting the help that I need. And then I get a call today from a completely different person (made me feel as though she was talking down to me, complete 180 from the lady I spoke with yesterday) claiming that you guys don't deal with Medicare at all, she asked if I had other insurance and since I don't, that was the end of the conversation, and she wouldn't even go over any other cash payment options.. Maybe people like me who are mentally ill wouldn't be so sick if there were more companies out there that were willing to help us out. How dare you assume that I can't pay cash so you just won't work with me. I guess it's better that I don't deal with a company like that anyways. Thank you for making a bad day that much worse. And thanks again for absolutely NOTHING. I will be leaving feedback on every networking sight that I can to get the word out that your company only cares about children with problems and the adults like myself, who genuinely need help too, can just rot apparently (their website also states they work with adults too, not just children, AND in my original form I sent in, I explained that I'm a 37 year old woman)... Also, it states right on your website that you take both Medicaid and MEDICARE. Which I have Medicare, and it also states you offer in home services... So maybe rather than lying to people on your site, take that information down instead of giving people false hope that they might actually get the help they need!

Our twin boys began IAT when they first opened in 2020 at the beginning of the Covid pandemic…read more IAT was a life saver as our twin's ABA preschool shut down during the pandemic. Our boys have been continuous clients of IAT since. They have amazing therapists and their facility is so much fun. We've never called it "going to therapy" but instead "gym." Our boys are almost 7 now. They suffer from anxiety and are home bodies. The one place we never have a problem getting them to is IAT. They love it there and attend 6 days a week. The only possible thing that would make IAT any better is if they offered ABA based school as well (public school has been a nightmare to deal with). I highly recommend Integrated Autism Therapies for your ABA therapy needs.

Having an autistic son it's crucial to keep the same staff as much as possible. I was trying to keep the same staff every two weeks. i felt like I was always having to justify why consistency and routine are what my child needs. BCBAs couldn't go over reports or goals. I had to go to their website which I was never able to login. it felt like my child's goals were secret and the BCBA was trying to sneak things in without my permission. My child loved his behavioral techs but the BCBA kept changing and trying to create a robot vs help my child do functional tasks and communication. I met with the BCBAs supervisor to express my concerns and was met with "I'm sorry it's not a good fit!". My child would get physically I'll and violent when the BCBA would come over. Despite this the BCBA wanted to come twice a week and would not go less. I quit that day! that's not okay to keep pushing a kid to the point they see someone and become violent and physically I'll! My concerns and issues were never addressed and the young BCBA thought she knew what was best for my childs needs after only meeting him for a couple of hours. it's not a good fit for anyone unless you want a robot and are fine with constant scheduling and staff changes, unclear and non functional goals. I must clarify our first BCBA was amazing but it seems he was the exception to the rule here. he still had to deal with the companies issues with scheduling and staff changes. I would look elsewhere if you really want your kid to learn and grow...this is NOT the place. This is just a place for them to bill insurance and collect $$$$.

I'm now on their email list, and the offerings they have here are so wonderful. They have yoga classes for the overwhelmed, intuitive eating classes, workshops, speakers, and opportunities to connect with yourself in addition to the therapy services they offer here as well. It can be sometimes nerve-wracking going to an event on your own in a new place that you're not familiar with, but I immediately felt so safe and comfortable here when I attended the journaling/mindfulness workshop. It started with some snacks and drinks, followed by 45 minutes of guided journaling. It was a very intimate class, and I felt so comfortable taking the time for myself to journal and learn. I look forward to coming to more opportunities here in the future.
