At that time,…read moreI was exhausted by chronic back and neck pain, doctors who only pushed medication and other PT's who conditioned me to fear re-injury through movement. Over the last 6 months, Emily has taught me that I am strong enough to heal myself, that my mental and physical health are completely interconnected, and that movement isn't something to be afraid of. I have felt so supported and validated after years of dismissals and lists of exercises to perform with little follow up. His health is average for his age but is declining. Solstice Hospice is a locally owned company who is not centered around only making Big Bucks like most of the other institutional companies. I have been in Retail my entire life and I have n e v e r had such incredible service from the staff that takes care of my Dad. Everyone is extremely knowledgeable and kind. We have a team who cares for Dad: We have CNA Care from a remarkable fellow named Vlad who helps Dad shower 2-3 days a week; A wonderful Social Worker, Tammy; Debbie, an RN of 40 years who knows more than most Doctors I know and her demeanor is stellar (& is so funny!); A non-denominational Chaplin who helps with the big unknowns; Get this, A Music Therapist! Dad has played Saxophone, Clarinet and Piano all his life. She plays the guitar and sings with perfect pitch all the old songs Dad & Mom used to dance to. And last but not least. An amazing woman who is a Foot Zone Therapist! She is a professional therapeutic foot zone practitioner who has been doing this for 18 years. You have, have, have to see it to believe it! Or should I say feel it. She helps Dad so much on an uplifting emotional, spiritual and physical level. Dad always asks, "Is this the day that my feet get Zoned?" He loves everyone who helps him as do I. If you are scouting for a genuine caring, sincere, and ethically run Hospice Company please give these wonderful people a call. My son had neuropsych testing here a year ago, and we had to have it redone this year by a…read moredifferent professional. The neuropsych report from Steinmann was brief, did not include diagnoses, and was not what the University needed for accommodations. Also, Sugarman stated in her report that my son did not have ADHD while for the past year he continued to have symptoms consistent with ADHD. The professional we saw this year found that my son does in fact have ADHD. Dr. Sugarman herself did not meet with my son to administer tests, this was done by office staff. She spoke with my son for about 5-15 minutes to ask him what college accommodations he was looking for, assuring him she would provide that, but not to glean any additional information to complete the evaluation itself. We received the evaluation which was 6 pages long, mostly consisting of charts and missing recommended accommodations and any diagnoses. She briefly spoke with my son after providing the report (for about 5-15 minutes), during which she tried to sell him on a costly treatment called computer assisted cognitive remediation that she provides. In looking into the recommended computer assisted cognitive remediation treatment, it did not appear to be an empirically validated treatment. Dr. Sugarman also recommended this treatment to my friend's child who's clinical picture was completely different than my son's. After receiving the evaluation, we asked Dr. Sugarman to provide specific diagnoses and were told we would have to pay additional money in order to obtain that level of detailed information. My son later reached out to Steinmann because the University said that his neuropsych report was not usable for accommodations. Dr. Sugarman provided a document listing functional limitations, some of which don't apply to my son, and others which are attributable to ADHD, and then stated that he should be encouraged to develop a relationship with each professor to establish accommodations. Also, prior to the eval, Steinmann said they could bill insurance but that insurance would likely not cover it. I went through the process to have the insurance approve the eval under the billing codes provided me by Steinmann, but then after the evaluation they billed my insurance company under different codes than the ones they provided me. When the insurance company and I called together to ask them to rebill with the original codes, they left us on hold for 40 minutes before we gave up and hung up. We called a week later and they hung up on us three times in a row. The neuropsychological testing we had done through a different provider was a very different experience. He himself met with my son for 7 hours administering tests. He spoke with my husband and I for an hour and a half to obtain more information. After providing a 16 page report he spent an hour and 45 minutes going over the results and answering questions. There were clear diagnoses, including moderate/severe ADHD. He also clearly listed academic accommodations (longer test times, tests administered in environments free of distractions, using a smart pen to take notes in class, etc) in his report. The cost of the test was roughly the same as what we paid at Steinmanns. I have had two friends who also had a negative experience at Steimanns. I am worried about people not only wasting their money, but wasting time in getting inaccurate evals (I feel like my son's college experience last year would have been very different if he had had an appropriate diagnosis, an accommodations plan, and appropriate medication in place).

The check-in was super fast as well. Didn't have to wait more than 2 minutes after my appointment time and they called me in. Dr. Later is a very friendly fella. He took time to talk with me, and hear what I had to say. Gave some blood samples today and he said that his office will call me when the results are in and we will go from there. Even though it was my very first visit...so far so good! I really liked him. Hopefully I'll keep having positive experiences :P

I was referred to Dr Russell Smith by a friend who had similar female issues-- [ endometriosis / high risk ] so after she had her laroscopy she had told me how it went. She said her recovery was 2-3 days and she felt so much better and that her periods don't hurt like they used to. Once she said that I was in serious need to get help for myself. It was crippling my life! Dr Smiths bedside manner is great. He's very professional and knowledgeable. He goes through explaining things rather than acting like you should know what he's talking about when it's INSIDE us, haha. My quest for a good OBGYN in Utah has finally come to an end! I only had one appointment so far but I'm feeling very confident in his ability and opinion.

We reached out to Kim to give her court DCSF documents on the case against their mom and Kim REFUSED to read them as they came from the dad. Kim went to court to testify for mom after meeting her 2-3 times. Mom lost custody of kids by DCSF and juvenile judge due to emotional abuse and Dad got full custody of kids. Kim has no business be a therapist and no insight to behaviors.
