I was with my show with my family and paid extra for front row seats. The hostman thought it was funny to make jokes and make fun of people by cursing and he specifically mentioned gay jokes which was not appreciated. He noticed I was looking at him and was upset then he points at me and starts cursing at me as if it was a joke. I paid to see an entertaining show and not by making fun of people to make money. This is by far the worst show wasted me time and money. I do not recommend anyone to waste time for this show. Much better shows out there read more

We have walked by the tent complex housing Absinthe, in front of Ceasar's Palace, many a time while visiting Las Vegas. We had heard good things about the show and finally made time to see it on our most recent visit. We were not disappointed! We arrived just before the tent doors were opened, but realized it would have been fun to come a bit early to hang out under the blue tree and enjoy a cocktail or two. Fortunately, we found there were plenty of drink options inside, not the least of which were some fabulous cocktails and cold craft beer! Oh, and the inside of the tent is a treat all by itself! Thoughtfully decorated to the point it doesn't even feel as if you're in a tent, it was fun to just hang out and have a drink while waiting for the show to start! The show itself was tons of fun, with several amazing acts requiring feats of strength and agility! Combined with some rather raunchy comic dialog in between acts, this show was non-stop fun and definitely one we will catch again during a future visit! Sorry kids (and prudish adults), the aforementioned raunchy dialog and scantily clad performers make this a not-easily-offended/adults-only show. Pro Tip: Be ready to be a target (think comedy show), especially if you're seated in the front row. Also, while plastic is provided to the front row, there are some water-related antics. I handed the bartender $40.00 and he said he could not make change? Keep it at that point broheim. Back to the show. It's great. All the acts are super entertaining. The Gazillionaire was funny. Raunchy comedy, check. I felt his side kick Penny forced the raunchy content. Seemed out of place. A friend of a friend had recommended this show, so without having done any prior research I had no idea what to expect beforehand, but we were all thoroughly entertained and I recommend giving it a shot! The show is uniquely housed in a tent outside of Caesar's Palace. We arrived early and waited within an enclosed area near an "electric oak" tree. There was a hostesses taking drink orders. She took a while to come back so for a moment I started to wonder if someone had just stolen our money (it is Vegas, you never reaally know), but she was in fact legitimate and came back with all our drinks. Despite the heavy rain and my initial skepticism regarding the tent's sturdiness (from the outside it looks just a notch or two better than an inflatable jumpy castle), especially considering Caesar's Palace itself had minor flooding, the interior was well maintained. The dim lighting and the simple seating arrangement added to the ambiance, which matched well with the show's overall vibe. For those interested, there's a bar inside the tent as well. We really enjoyed the acts - the performers were all incredibly talented!!! From what I've seen, I would say they were on par with other "top" shows in Vegas. The main emcee was also entertaining, he hurled beautiful insults at the crowd, especially to those seated near the front. However, I felt the assistant emcee's "humor" was basic and uncreative, and unfortunately she was featured quite often. I considered removing a star because of the assistant emcee, but decided to leave it at five because I still had a great time. Just a warning: there was an "audience participation" segment that although was very entertaining, I would have died in my seat if I had been chosen for it. If you prefer not to be in the spotlight, I'd recommend choosing seats further back. Given the tent's intimate setting, the views are just as good from any spot. Overall, this show had a fun mix of humor, talent, and raunchiness. If you're looking for something offbeat and memorable, this is a good pick! read more

I went last night with my adult son and his wife and her parents. We were all rolling in the aisles at the randy jokes and "whooping" at the aMazing performers' athletic skills. In addition to the performance, the patio and food court waiting area outside the circus tent features a huge "fairy" tree that sparkles with mesmerizing twinkles. I have been looking forward to seeing Absinthe for months! The acrobatics and acts did not disappoint. They were truly phenomenal, and I loved that everything was up close and personal. We went to an 11:00 show, so it was a bit cheaper and it was not very crowded. We got to move our seats up because, which was nice so I feel like we got a deal. The part that I did not like was anything having to do with Wanda. She was so awkward, and not funny. That almost ruined the show for me. Sadly, the assault of three members of our party, including two women who were punched in the face (resulting in an instant bruise) and theft of property including eyeglasses was grossly neglected by the "security" at this venue. We cannot recommend this show if your safety is of any importance to you. How the performers are able to do this with the absolutely real risk of bodily harm by unruly attendees is beyond any reasonable person's imagination. While the acrobatic performances, particularly the stunning display of ballet by the two Polish men at the end were beautiful to watch, the tasteless MC and his female sidekick ruined every decent performance with references that insulted the artistry. Is your idea of a fun repeatedly hearing the same inane sexually explicit joke told by a 12 year old boy for two hours? Well, if so, you've come to the right place! Actually, if your idea of a fun night in LV includes the aforementioned deluge of bad humor (sometimes at the expense of an audience members dead mother), but you're ok with drunk attendees punching you and stealing your glasses, then look no further than Absinthe. This is a decent circus arts show with crass humor. I would have given it 4 stars if not for the sticker shock. This show cost about $50 more than our tickets to O at Bellagio and that show was definitely worth every penny. We made the mistake of getting the late show tickets on a Saturday night after a day at the pool. I was so tired when we arrived I would have fallen asleep if not for the entertaining content of this show. The talent here was decent as far as circus arts goes, but there weren't many "unique" acts. If you have been to lots of circus arts performances you won't be wowed by much in this show. I enjoyed the assistant in the act who served the portion of a circus show that is "clowning." She was hilarious. And the people they chose in the crowd to participate did a great job. It was cool to see a show in a circus tent on the strip but had the show been anywhere else and I knew what I was getting, I wouldn't have paid more than $70 for it. We had uncomfortable high top chairs at a sticky table. Not very classy for $225 tickets near the back of the tent! read more

This continues to be one of my favorite shows in Vegas. I believe I've been to see this show about 3-4 times over the last 8 years and it's a little different every time as far as which acts are there. The premise is the same with the hosts introducing, transitioning, and concluding the acts through the show with adult humor. I'd definitely recommend this show to adults only, and there may even be an age restriction to purchase tickets at this point. The show itself is located right in front of Caesar's. There is an outdoor bar area to hang out before they let you into the tent. I was nervous that it would be cold inside the tent, as I tend to "freeze" easily with the air conditioning inside most places, but I actually did perfectly fine with my sleeveless dress. The seats are high top chairs. I recommend getting tickets for the 3rd row or so (first row always gets picked on, and the acrobatics of the acts are awesome to see closer up). I got row F this time and it was perfect being the first row of the back tier (I'm short, so this is important to me). The acrobatics are awesome. Some acts are more entertaining to me than others. Overall, this and Beatles LOVE Circ I always highly recommend to my friends visiting Vegas who want to see a show. read more

The show was highly touted, and the acts were pretty amazing, and somewhat unusual. They warn you when you buy your tickets that it's raunchy, but i felt that a couple of times it got a bit overly done for no real purpose. All that said, highly recommend. It's in a tent outside of Ceasar's Palace, and if you get there early they sell drinks etc outside, and again inside. The acts are mostly variations of acrobatics, but there was a pretty amazing skating act, and a really creative bit with a guy in a bathtub. The raunch comes from the 2 emcees between the acts, and if you don't want to be picked on, don't get seats in the first 2 rows. And don't bring the kids. read more

MIND. BLOWING. SHOW. I was laughing, I was shocked, impressed and intrigued. Absinthe takes place in a circus tent out front of Caesars Palace. Be sure to arrive at least 30 minutes before the start so that you can enjoy the pre-show activities. They have a small plaza outside the tent with music, photo opportunities, bars, and gorgeous light-up trees. Once inside the tent is packed with seats so be prepared to be touching elbows with the person next to you and to have little leg room. You'll forget about all of that once the show starts, but be sure to grab a signature themed drink before it does. I went with the drink with Absinthe in it, of course! They have a full bar for any drinks you may be craving. If you don't like crude, raunchy humor that's super in your face then DO NOT come here. It is threaded throughout the entire show, with comedic bits happening in between the world class talented acrobatics and stunts so impressive that you'll be wondering how they did it. I am not usually a fan of this type of humor but it is Vegas after all and I found it hilarious. They pick on and interact with audience members too, so if you're sitting near the front you could be called out. This show is not for the sensitive. Not what it once was! I've seen this show 4 times over the course of many years (twice with my husband and friends, and twice with girlfriends.) The most-recent time was on 12/31/23 (NYE), and this time the show was just not the same. The show is a mix of over-the-top adult humor and Cirque type acts. The FORMER emcee and his "sister" were hilarious but this particular show the emcee and now his "assistant" who were both new (to me) were not as good/funny as their predecessors. The humor is vulgar, which in the past they pulled off, but this time it was almost too much. Trying to hard to be vulgar, though we didn't see anyone walk out this time because they were offended, lol. Also, the Cirque performances were definitely not as good. The act that we were looking forward to seeing the most are these 2 amazing tap dancing brothers. They were always the highlight of the show. Maybe they had the night off, but the show definitely was not the same without them. There were a couple good acts, many so-so acts and they've def added more female/sexy acts, which is fine but typical Vegas. The past shows I've attended were always sold out. This show was the 8 PM show and probably 35%-40% of the seats were empty! It could be because it was NYE and they raised the ticket prices, though I wouldn't think so. Maybe they're just not able to sell seats like they once were because the show is no longer what it once was?? One other mention... the seating! Most seats are your banquet type folding chairs, some padded, many not. The chairs are placed literally right next to each other and tied together with zip ties, so you can't move them at all. Absinthe is one of the most unique shows I've seen. The vibe is totally different from most. It's located outside of Caesar's palace by Hells Kitchen. You'll want to get there a bit early so you can enjoy the patio area with the electric tree. They have a bar, food truck and a coffee shop inside. We ended up splitting a bottle that you can take inside. If you need a litmus test to see if this show is for you, ask yourself: Do you enjoy Rick and Morty or South Park? If the answer is no, then find another show. This show is raunchier than most, so be advised. With that said, I loved it. :) Once you're inside the tent, it absolutely is a vibe. It sets the tone for the show and tries to get you in the mindset of a modern day circus freak show. Your host, The Gazilionaire, and his assistant will have you laughing and engaged throughout the evening. If you sit close enough, you may also be asked to participate. We got lucky and got our seats upgraded. We were seated in the back rows and got moved to the 4th row. The acts are insanely talented!! They change every so often so you won't see the same show twice. You may recognize some of them on AGT. Ranges from burlesque, acrobats, dancers, balancing, and pole. I got fooled by all the great reviews. while the show is at times is entertaining, it is extremely over priced. it's a tiny stage so performers are limited in what they can do. you sit so close together you're touching shoulders with strangers I saw LOVE the next night which was spectacular with a huge venue, and at least 75 performers. The staging was incredible. And the tickets were way less expensive which is why it's frankly bizarre absinthe charges so much this show is one of those 2nd rate performances that belongs off strip for half the price they now charge. read more

Absolutely loved the show!!! We bought tickets on the recommendation of the concierge at NY NY. We were nervous about what to expect, as we've been to some of the Cirque shows, a few variety shows and some of the old school Vegas shows. This by far was the best show we have seen hands down anywhere! It was definitely not for everyone, so if you get triggered easily skip it. I however thoroughly enjoyed the show and my husband is extremely hard to impress and he was laughing and giggling the entire time. Leave the kids or anyone you'd be uncomfortable with hearing raunchy jokes or sexual innuendos. But highly recommend this show, everyone in the show is EXTREMELY talented and definitely care about giving you a good show! read more

Sorry but I just came from seeing O and Ka by Cirque du Soleil and having come from those shows --- I saw nothing here that justifies the $149 ticket price (and that only goes up from there.) The reason for why I saw this show is because I was running to catch Beatles love from having seen Ka at MGM grand. This means walking from MGM to Mirage and of course I didn't make it for the 930. Since Absinthe had a 10, and I wanted to salvage the opportunity to see a late show, I paid 149. This show is a must see! It was funny and entertaining! Amazing acts. I don't want to give away too much, you have to see it! They also have a speakeasy. There's a secret entrance from the speakeasy to the tent. The tent is bigger on the inside then it looks. It is air conditioned. The drinks weren't that good. I had the absinthe which was too sweet and my friend had the unicorn which had grapefruit juice I couldn't get over the taste. They have white claws so stick to what you know. Unique and crowded Burlesque show. Note: Seating is very tight. At first glance, it's got a gritty, fun vibe. Definitely not for the modest. As my friends can attest, I'm certainly no prude but this show was "over-the-(circus)-top" crude, crass and downright vulgar. The amazing physical feats the acrobats performed stood out on their own accord with no additional schtick required. Was I offended? No, but even I have my limits and I can certainly appreciate diverse, artistic expression. It just went there...TMI people! That said, the acts were superb. The strength and talent is one-of-a-kind. It was great to see the skating brother and sister duo Billy & Emily England and other unique acts. If you don't like water splashed on you, consider reserving back row seats. I was a little disappointed given the price we paid and rave reviews online. The show was about 80% dirty jokes and 20% acrobatic acts. Quickly got tired of the dirty jokes portion and the hosts wore out my welcome. I found one them to be especially annoying and grimaced every time she came on stage. The acrobatic acts themselves were truly impressive, however. Most of the performers were absolutely shredded and capable of incredible feats of strength, especially the guy who danced on a lamp pole. I don't think I could ever do what he did even if I worked out 8 hours every day... The chairs were also pretty shoddy and not something you'd expect for a $200 seat. The Spiegelworld tent is small so there's no reason to buy a more expensive ticket in the front row unless you want to be picked to participate in the show. The Spiegletent in Vegas did not disappoint. It was about 10:40pm and Caesar's gave me a free ticket for Absynthe so I took it for 11pm last minute/. The fairy garden outside is a fun place to grab a drink and hangout before the shows. I saw THE HOOK in Atlantic City and always wanted to check out ABSYNTHE. It is an upclose performance tent. I love the venue. The bar makes good drinks as well. The show is funny, a little risqué and entertaining for sure. I would see this one again if the opportunity came up. This show was excellent! Hilarious (note that it is very crude humor), intimate, sexy and a fun atmosphere. I don't think there is a bad seat in the tent, but the closer to the stage you are, the higher chance you will be interacted with (and some throughout the whole show). The acts were quick and entertaining, and all of the performers were very engaging with the audience. The drinks were delicious as well (watch out for the Absinthe Hallucinator... it's strong). The red & white tent outside of Caesar's Palace is where you will find this show .. the MC's for the night Gazillionaire and Wanda were hilarious and picked on many audience members. The performers were amazing the green Fairy.. the Silicone Valley girls on those bendy poles soared around the room .. the couple on skates.. the man with the umbrella and pole performance .. really all the shows .. all the muscles.. mesmerizing.. hot and very entertaining Two bars in the courtyard area immediately outside the tent and one inside .. grab your drinks before you head to your seats.. there's very little space to move around once everyone is seated!! What a fun night inside the big top ... we loved the show! It's was filled with lots of flying and dancing acrobatic move that all the Cirque de Soleil shows are known for . Loved the eclectic and cozy sitting arrangements around the circular stage. There really isn't a bad seat the house . Where ever you are seated, you'll be able to enjoy the show and be in close proximity to the super athletic and talented performers . As other have indicated , the show does have some colorful, 18 + humorous language and content. The show is about an hour and a half. After the show there is an outside area in front where they and a live band and singer in similar theme and photos opportunities. Definitely a must see in Vegas :)) read more
