What a fantastic show! From the beginning to the end. We've seen Circus du Soleil shows before, but not this one. It was fun to see all of the acrobatic stunts and diving. A family show for the most part. I'm not sure if I want one of my kids watching a grown man in a thong dancing. However, I get there is a need to grab the attention of all and some like that. What a fun show! Pros: - I had watched the show before, but maybe 20 years ago. I was surprised and pleased to see that the show was different - The clowns were so funny - Like all cirque shows, no English, so it's perfect for kids, and for my parents who don't speak English - A very nice mix of jaw dropping stunts and funny interludes - Upstairs bathrooms were clean and freeeeeeezing. Located in the Bellagio. Make sure you see the conservator with the seasonal changes so it will be different every time you visit Vegas. The dancing waters are also fun to watch. And if you get there super early you can do some fine shopping in all the high end stores. It's easy to find the stage as you just follow the signs. Our show started at 8pm. The doors open at 7:30pm and people start to line up before 7pm. we go there at 7pm and there was already a line. To the right of the line is the bathrooms. It's a little awkward as while you are in line the bathroom goers walk between you. They have a huge gift shops before you enter the theater and another small gift shop inside the theater. I suggest you stop by the gift shop before the show while it's not crowed. On the other hand we went to the both gift shops after the show and they weren't slammed. What a show. It's been around for 27 years. I had no idea till my husband asked how long it has been around. This is my 4th Cirque show and his 3rd. We've seen all of our shows in Sacramento and San Francisco. One at Arco arena and the rest under big tops. I've been wanting to see this show for over 10 years since my boss Jim raved about it. It was good, but didn't live up to my expectations. He built it up so much and I built it up so much that it just didn't live up to it. Don't get me wrong. It was a great show and captivated my attention. There was no snoozing during this show. I do wish I had read the story line before I watched it. OPPs. That's totally on me. In the end there isn't really a story line like there is in their other shows. The effects were amazing. I loved the water to stage and back to the pool. It was so fun watching them change the sets with each performance. My girlfriend watched a video of the making of the show so she has a greater appreciation for it then I do. I really need to see that video. The is a photo opportunity before you go into the show. You can stand in the big O and have your picture taken and after the show they have it all printed out for you to take home. I don't know the price. I think you can take the picture at no cost and then if you like it you can buy it. We're too frugal to get a picture so we passed. Then after the show we saw people lined up to take their own photo in-front of the O. It's not the exact same look, but it's pretty darn close. We always watched O everytime we Vegas. This was the second time my daughter watched it. She was 9 then and she is 11 now. Some scenes were still too intense for her, especially when the water lighting turned red (she imagined it was blood), and when the fire scenes were up. I loved those scenes but it was too intense for her. My sons, 14 and 13 yrs old were enjoying all aspect of the performance, the music, the singing, the acrobatic, the lighting and the whole engineering pertinent to the show. We got the Loggia seats which was upstairs and very front, so they could see all the aspects of the levitating and gravitating components of it. Since we were the first four lines, we werent able to see the singers though, because they were right below us. So next time I would book Loggia in the mid- area. The very middle area was reserved for suites. Another thing too, with the Loggia seats, all the seats were individual movable "office" chairs with drink holder and for every two chairs, there was one table. Very convenient. read more

The show was phenomenal, the staffing and communication not too much. Let me tell you why. We went to O a day after going to Awakening. From the crowds to the price point, I figured yeah this show's going to blow Awakening out of the park. The acrobatics? Absolutely The technology? Oh for sure It's like comparing apple and oranges but the orange is a little dry (Awakening) - good but not as good as the apple. Now here's why O pissed me off. Upon arrival, I double checked with the staff, "IS CELLPHONE PHOTOGRAPHY DURING THE SHOW OK?" Both staff said "Yes, just no video and no flash." Tell me why both of these staffs were the ones going around telling people to put their devices away during the show even though many people were only taking pictures? :| (I will say, once I saw they started picking on people about photography at the very beginning, I didn't bother trying to take pics myself - so yay didn't get publicly shamed LMAO) The show itself was incredible but the staff and their terrible communication and then shining their lights and calling out guests for taking photos was most definitely not nice in any way. I think it's ridiculous to say "We encourage photos" on the website and then have their staff go and pick on rule following show attendees. Organizers need to make up their minds on the photo policy and train their staff accordingly. read more

Finally, after decades of wanting to see "O" we went this past weekend for my mom's birthday. We're all very familiar with Cirque du Soleil; this was my 7th Cirque show - 5th for my parents. First of all, I loved how this show & theater had a lovely museum of sculptures representing "O"to walk through and admire before and after the show. There is also a great photo op at the end of the museum. There are ample restroom facilities as well as bars / concessions on both levels of the theater. The 2nd floor restroom was smaller so there was a little line as well as the concession area, although both lines moved quickly. The theater itself is gorgeous. It felt like an opera house in Europe. We were seated up in the balcony in section 300, Row R, Seats 317-314. These seats were great for many reasons; 1) There was no row in front of us, nor behind us which helped keep my severe anxiety at bay so I could thoroughly enjoy the show, 2) Seats 317 & 316 were rolling theater chairs to accommodate both wheelchairs as well as persons with non-wheelchair disabilities which is precisely what my mom needed and she really loved this kind of seat, lastly 3) The view was honestly fantastic; we've learned that you see much more at Cirque shows by sitting a little higher which remained true for this show as well. While we all thoroughly enjoyed this show, it was a bit different from other Cirque shows. There was much more down time between acrobatic acts due to the complex setup needed between performances. As someone with an architectural & interior design degree, I loved seeing the unique set design and the unique inter workings of the moving stage / pool area. However, I did kind of miss the fast paced and abundant acrobatic type acts that are synonymous with Cirque du Soleil. The performances that were part of "O" were dazzling and exciting, I just wish there had been more. The storyline was also a bit confusing. I do find most Cirque shows have a muddled storyline, but usually by curtain close, it all comes together and makes sense; "O" never did that for me. Despite my one critique, we had a terrific evening and feel quite happy with our experience. read more

The concierge at the Bellagio was able to book me a last minute ticket. My seat was in the 5th row, which I highly recommend. I was so close I could see the performers' faces. The doors open up early. I'd recommend getting there slightly early if you'd like refreshments, the lines were long! There's a pre-show to keep the crowd entertained while you wait for the show to start. This has been on a my bucket list for a while and the show did not disappoint! The performances were mesmerizing. The use of the water was astounding. Every set had so much going on that it was almost hard to keep up! The music was perfect. I didn't want the show to end! I paid $129 for my ticket and honestly would have paid much more because this show was absolutely amazing. We were seated toward the back of the theater, which turned out to be perfect for seeing the entire production. The stage itself is incredible. It features a 15 foot deep pool with a platform that moves up and down throughout the show. The performers were all outstanding. From divers and synchronized swimmers to aerialists, singers, and even a man who was literally on fire, the talent and artistry were breathtaking. There is so much happening on stage at once that it's impossible to take it all in, and that's part of what makes it so magical. A friend who came with us had seen the show twice before and mentioned that they have added some new Halloween themed elements this time, which made it even more unique. The theater service was excellent as well. They offer snacks and drinks in the lobby, and there are beautiful art and sculpture displays to admire as you walk in. Photos and videos aren't allowed during the performance, so I don't have any pictures to share, but trust me, this is one you will never forget. I highly recommend Cirque du Soleil "O." It is family friendly, awe inspiring, and one of the most visually stunning shows you will ever see. Perfect for all ages and absolutely worth every penny. read more

O was an "ok" show. Not the greatest but not the best. Many of the reviews mention the use of water which may lead people to think that it has heavy emphasis on aquabatics which is not really the case. That show does incorporate a lot of water but the majority of the acts are still in the air or on solid ground. The use of the water serves more as a landing pad for the arial tricks. The acrobatics are entertaining but not as good as I've seen from the Mystere and Auana shows. All in all just an ok show. As I'm writing this review my current ranking for these shows would be: 1. Mystere 2. Auana 3. O 4. Ka The caveat to this being that we saw Mystere back in 2006 or 2007 so I am unable to speak to the quality of the show now. I do remember that there were much more impressive acrobatics and gymnastics than the other 3 but no real storyline. read more

I was so excited to see this show but was very disappointed within the first 30 minutes. When you think something cool is about to happen, nothing happens. No doubt, the performers are really talented and the water element is unique. However, I found myself dozing off and rolling my eyes every time the clowns came on. I thought the clowns were extremely unfunny and was so annoyed that they have so much show time. I understand they need filler to prepare for the next act but these clowns were so unfunny and practically had to beg the audience to applaud them. There was no story to the show and a lot of the people seemed very random. A lot of performers added no entertainment to the show. There was too much people standing around doing nothing. The red coats dude on the flying pony were so lame. The dancing lady did nothing but splash water around. The fire dancers dropped their flame stick in the water. The costumes didn't look good. Just too much disappointment that I couldn't justify the $1k price of front row tickets that I spent. To make everything worse, there was a technical difficulty that added 30 minutes to the show. It dragged our show's end time later when I wanted to leave sooo bad. Go see another show. read more

The O show by Cirque du Soleil is one of the most long lasting and impressive Vegas performances, and I would recommend watching in person. The performances use the entire stage literally from left to right and up and down, so I'd suggest the middle section of seats in the center, the entire center gold circle section and the back row seats next to aisles of the gold circle section, and it's totally worth the $200~$300 per ticket cost for a better vision effect. read more

This show is one of my top 3 to watch for cirque! A majority of the performance is in the water which is fascinating to see! If you have kids there is some comedic & clown bits! Parking is free for locals up to 3 hours with Nevada ID! It's in the Bellagio too, which is a gorgeous hotel , I like to stop at the conservatory prior or after the show! This show was absolutely amazing. I was mesmerized the entire time. The theater was a lot smaller than I was expecting so I had a good seat and view of the stage. I've never seen anything like it, the stage was literally water and kept moving. I could never tell how deep the water was. Didn't really understand the story but loved all the acrobatics. Everyone was so talented. The check-in line moved pretty quickly as well as the bar line. You could get a mini Fat Tuesday for a hefty $30. read more

If you are looking for a really artsy Cirque show, this is the one to check out. There are cool water effects and great pantomiming. Make sure to check the box office for potential local discounts if you live in Vegas. In addition, don't sit in the last row because it cuts off the lip of the stage and you will miss stuff. O! O! OMG! This is called "O" for a reason! I felt a little self conscious about how many times I said "Oh!" as I watched in amazement! This was our first Cirque Du Soleil experience, and I wanted to see this one because it was the first that I had heard of "O" so many decades ago. The creativity, production, live music (didn't realize that until the end when the stage crew took a bow to the band in a glassed in room above us), and athleticism is OFF THE CHARTS! I don't know what I expected, but it wasn't this. The show is whimsical, creepy, beautiful, so artsy-- I'm sure there are more and better adjectives but I'm only a decent wordsmith so they are escaping me. I wasn't expecting synchronized swimming, diving, high diving, singing, comedy, seemingly constantly changing scenes--it was simply audio and eye-candy fantastic! Go get your tickets! This was actually my second time watching this show--the first time was two years ago. That night, the host mentioned that the creator and director had recently passed away, so watching it again now, I was curious to see how things had changed under new direction. What's Different? The overall story remains the same, but I noticed some acrobatic elements were removed, and the scenes and tricks felt less intense compared to my first experience. The storytelling didn't feel as strong, and my group found it harder to follow what the show was trying to convey. That being said, the stage design is still incredible--the way the curtain is removed, almost as if it's flying open by magic, remains one of the most stunning elements. However, the performers just weren't the same, and the energy felt different this time. Other Observations: Previously, guests were invited to take a tourist photo before the show at the "O" status. This time, we realized the photos were printed already after the show instead, so we are upset that we missed that part. The staff didn't seem as engaged as before, possibly because the process of printing photos that people don't buy creates waste. A digital option might be more practical and eco-friendly. Final Thoughts: One highlight of seeing the show at Bellagio is that you can watch the fountain show with music right after, since it's on the way back to the main street. However, I'm not sure if I'd watch it a third time, especially with so many other circus-style shows in Vegas. My husband and I splurged for our anniversary and bought tickets that were about 6 rows up smack dab in the middle and I felt like we were right in the action. I am admittedly not a fan of circuses - or circi? No, circuses - even though I don't like how that sounds. Anyway, my dislike of them have kept me away from Cirque du Solei shows - it just never piqued my interest. That all changed though when I was planning my trip to Vegas; I was looking for shows to see and many friends I talked to recommended Cirque - but which one to choose? O came highly recommended and the reviews were great, so I booked it and off I went. There are several Cirque shows that have residencies in Vegas - at least four from what I can remember. O is located in the Bellagio and has been performed here since 1998. Each Cirque show has its own theme, with this one being water-based. I will not go into too much detail with the story, but the show consists of the expected acrobatics combined with a large pool on the stage that is used as part of the storyline. There was a lot going on and several storylines, but it was all pretty cohesive and the music really tied everything together. Because of the use of water, there are several seating areas deemed the "wet zone" where you may be splashed - but that's specified when you purchase your tickets so you can plan accordingly. I also didn't realize until 3/4 into the show that the music was live - the orchestra sits in balcony areas behind transparent screens as not to get the instruments wet. The show lasted 90 minutes which was the perfect length - and overall O really exceeded my expectations. I learned that my aversion to circuses was wrongly extended to Cirque, and I would definitely recommend O to others; honestly I would see it again myself. I went to O back in 2013 and fell asleep. I attributed it to me being tired (and a late show). I was so excited to go back this year when I saw rhe $50 tickets! I made the decision to go to the 7p show (so I couldn't fall asleep!). Well, its a beautiful show. Ive seen all the cirque shows + le reve (miss that one!), and the performers are very talented - it just seems all over the place. I understand most cirque shows dont typically have a "story" but this one illuded like it would. And well... it was just an eclectic hodge podge of acts. I was just a bit disappointed, and now I understand why I fell asleep. The water acrobatics and the synchronized swimmers are highly talented, it just would fare better with more of a connection between each act. Its a "cool to see" but not a "must see" - I preferred the likes pf Mystere, or the entertainment of Mad Apple. read more

Brought parents over years ago with premium seating. I was very impressed. Brought kiddos back this time with balcony seats. Premium seating is definitely worth the price. A lot more interactions and better visibility. Balcony seating was okay but effect was heavily discounted. O is definitely my favorite cirque du soleil show. The water element is well illustrated and the setting is just breathtaking. I would like to be back with kiddos a few years later with premium seating. This is one show that I would not be tired of.
