I called Absolute Bail Bonds frantic and so far out of my element that I don't know how Erica even understood me. I needed to get my 19 year old out of county jail as soon as possible. We used this "service" last August 2, 2020. At first they seem very friendly and willing to help out... BUT!! Don't let them trick you. I receive a letter in the middle of July, 2021. With very confusing wording and what looks like a bill. So I call the number that is on the letter, and I ask to speak to Claudia. She asks me if the case if "open," I say "yes" because technically my husband is still going to court and classes, and I though it would be correct for me to say since I am not familiar to the "court/ bail bonds" terminology. She tells me that since he PLEADED GUILTY he NO LONGER NEEDS BAIL BONDS. And as long as he's doing what court asks he's good. But because in "her end" it still said "open" and there was no "updated information" she went on to quote us to pay $800 to cover 6 months or to pay $1,600 to cover the whole year (which would be a $400 "discount" which bail was $2,000). She then THREATEN us to SUE US FOR THE WHOLE BAIL AMOUNT OF $20,000 if we don't pay the money before August,2021. Of course like anyone would, once you get threaten to pay a whole lot of money that you don't have, you try to figure out another way. I asked if we can do payments, she said no. that either we pay the $800, the $1,600 or even possibly the $20k. I explained that we are self employed and with covid still going on we are starting to get back on our feet. (She didn't seem to care) My husband managed to get the $800 and pay this lady. Fast forward to October 26,2021 my husbands court date. FINALLY the case is closed, my husband's lawyer told him that his case was EXONERATED back on AUGUST 21,2020 and the money those $800 he paid for "bond" was not needed. My husband then calls Claudia as soon as he got home to let her know that the case is closed now and to let her know what the lawyer told him. Its seems like she got caught doing something illegal because she kept stuttering and you can hear she was nervous. She went on to tell my husband that they "do this all the time." WHAT STEAL MONEY FROM PEOPLE????? This is a very GENIUS way to "GET RICH QUICK." She went on to say that she sent a letter to the court on July 13 (no year) and that the court "finally" replied on August 23 (no year). She claims that there was no updated status until September, 2021. She kept blaming the court, that the court messed up, they didn't update anything or reply to the letter. read more

They are only extending bails for 3 months due to Covid. Courts were closed, cases are delayed. THEY WILL MAKE YOU PAY THE WHOLE BAIL AMOUNT AGAIN IF THE CASE IS STILL ONGOING. Update:: Wow. What a nightmare!!!! Where do I even start... as you have read, everything was great and then I got a phone call at 9:30ish at night. It was a rude lady saying the person I bonded out didn't pay a promise to pay that was set. First of all, we paid all the money we needed up front. The promise to pay was only if we could come up with $1,000 but we came up with $1,500 therefore we didn't need the promise anymore. We had explicitly told Tony, there's no promise anymore right since we paid the full $1,500. Tony, "yeah, yeah.". Again, you're sure because this is my credit and my loved ones freedom. "Yeah." So why is this lady calling me about this??? I called tony the bondsman and he basically said handle it with corporate. Umm okay bruh. The rude lady on the phone said the person you bonded out isn't answering any of my calls. That's funny, I live with that person, haven't heard the phone ring and I looked through the call log. Lie. Not that bad you say, then they sent me a letter with saying some random person not the one I helped was behind in payment and need to pay now. Idk who the heck you're even talking about. I'm only leaving a 2 star rating because I was able to leave a down payment for $2000 and pay the rest in a year. Great fast service but when you pay, pay online! Do not call their customer service. This girl named Yesenia has the worst attitude. I called the company to make my payment since it was due that day and I didn't want to be charged late fees. She asked if I wanted to pay with the same credit card on file, I asked if she can repeat the last 4 digits of the card to verify. Then she asked if I was the car holder and admitted it wasn't it was my stepfather's. She then asked to speak with him to authorize the charge(which we all understood). My stepfather does not speak English well so he handed the phone back to translate. Keep in mind I had made 4 payments with the same credit card prior. When I answered the phone she was yelling, I'm assuming she was upset because he kept saying he didn't understand. Basically she asked for the billing address which we have obviously. He could have even provided it in Spanish. This girl yesenia kept saying I'm not going to process the payment because he's not the card holder and it's fraud... I tried telling her calmly that he didn't understand her English well but he could provide the billing address and I had to make the payment because it was due that day. She kept saying no, so I asked to speak to a manager or someone superior than her and rudely answered NO I'm not passing you the manager I asked why not then she said no one is here it's only me. I kept trying to make her understand that I needed to pay today and she then yelled at me and said call tomorrow hopefully you're not arrested by then and hung up the phone. My mother called about 2 minutes later and asked for a Spanish speaker and this lady Yesenia speaks Spanish!!! Then processed the payment after my mom told her I called and we will tell someone how she treated us. She made the entire customer service experience horrible and I understand she was being precaution. But, there were no chargebacks from the same card months prior, I told her he didn't understand her English, my payment was due that day and she did nothing to help. Until my mom told her she will do something about this horrible experience she changed her mood and processed the payment. read more
