I flew from Los Angeles to see Miri for a torn rotator cuff. My father discovered her at 80 when he tore his rotator cuff and didn't need surgery after seeing her and here I was with 4 tears in my shoulder 1 said to be extremely torn. If Miri could keep my dad from needing surgery, I was going to try her also. I had tried PT in LA, but received more relief from my first consultation with Miri than my many months with what I had tried in LA. I recently had a shoulder replacement and went to Absolute Rehab Therapy for PT to get my strength and range of motion back. Dr Miri lngwer, owner, and physical therapist Jamie were amazing. Their approach is different from other PT I have experienced in the past. They use hands on functional manual treatment along with traditional exercises to garner the best results. They listen. I have recently completed a 10 week session with Miri and i wanted to express how pleased I am with the results. I suffered a back injury that affected my balance and ability to walk in a normal manner. Five Stars..you bet..this is as good as it gets..I've had many experiences with PT, but none with the results I've had with Miri Ingwer. She is a very gifted therapist...not only with her depth of knowledge, her caring for her patients, but she is able to teach her patients the proper way to do their exercises. They have been attempting to collect an amount from me that was not properly due, and carry on for collection with complete disregard for the facts and without regard to the impact of their actions. Functional Manuel Therapy was a new experience for me and it was very helpful in my recovery from a hand injury that I sustained a few years ago that never completely healed. As a result of this therapy, my hand is stronger and I can use it in situations that I was unable to use it in before therapy. I also received a lot of new information as to exercises that I can use to complete my recovery at home. So, for me, this was a positive experience and well worth the time, cost and energy that I expended. Having separated/fractured my shoulder a couple of months earlier, I was in the midst of physical therapy sessions in California, where I live, when I found that I would be in Boca Raton in mid-January. I was fortunate enough to get an appointment with Miri, about whom I had no knowledge. From the moment I was greeted by Bethany and then Miri, I got the feeling that this was going to be not just another therapy session. Miri is passionate about her work; she communicated very well and indicated, beforehand, what she was doing and proceeded to manipulate, stretch, twist, turn and loosen my shoulder to the point that I could almost envision throwing a 90 mph fastball. Okay, that might be a stretch, but the measurable progress I made in that one hour session was real! While I am delighted to be back in California, if ever I was in the vicinity of Boca Raton and needed physical therapy, I would hope and pray that Miri could find the time to revivify my aching body. read more
