Some brickwork is cracked around suspended arches and cornerstone decorative pieces (e.g. above garage doors) but obviously has been for decades. I specifically called Cornerstone because I wanted a serious contractor who does actual poured footings, not that stacked cylinder mess that could actually crack your foundation worse as they use your house for the jack leverage. Dave was on time, courteous and (given that our appointment was in the middle of the Viral Apocalypse) understanding that I was working from home instead of 'off' for the day of our appointment. We spoke for a bit, he outlined everything well and asked pertinent questions about my reasons for calling, then got down to work inspecting...and recommended no work be done at this time. I offered to pay a service charge but he said that wasn't necessary. We did follow up on the phone briefly (I was busy when he was finished) and I am strongly considering coming back to them for some drainage improvements here and there as precautionary measures. Willie and his guys did an excellent job drying out and waterproofing my basement. They also installed a sump pump underground along with a professional style dehumidifier. They took care of everything in exactly the time I was told it would take. They were on time every morning and they worked until they got done what needed to be done. Willie is a very nice fellow and has a very confident attitude which actually made me feel a little better about my situation. If I ever hear of anyone having basement issues, I know who I'll tell them to call. Myself? Willie says I won't be having any more trouble with mine. Perfect.

A little over a year ago we had 2 different windows that leaked badly during a severe storm. It was so bad, in fact, that we submitted a service request online with Rain Leak Solutions in the middle of the night immediately after the rain stopped. In a matter of hours Randy showed up to our house, diagnosed the problems and completed the repairs. Plus, it didn't cost us an arm and a leg. We thought he was a real hero! So, we didn't hesitate to ask him to come back and do a whole house inspection. He said he was very very busy and it would be a while before he could schedule a time. We completely understood and waited patiently. Months and months went by, yet there was no communication from Randy despite us leaving him several messages. Just when we thought our calls would never be returned, he got back to us and assured us that he hadn't forgotten about the inspection. But again, he was too busy to commit to an appointment. Then a little over a year after his last visit, one of the windows started leaking again just as badly as before. At this point we desperately tried to get in touch with Randy to come back out to (re)fix the problem. Only once did we manage to get a call back and he said he would come over as soon as he could. He never called back or showed up though. We realize now that we should have moved on to a different company long ago because the continual leaking has caused a lot of damage to the whole area around the window. Although Randy may be quite knowledgeable and capable, he is also extremely unreliable.

After talking to Randy today, I better understand they were inundated with work requests because of the heavy rainstorms that were occurring at the time, and the fact they are one of the few contractors in DFW who operate in this rain leak repair space. Accordingly, I wish to revoke my previous review, and request it be disregarded.

They didn't install the ridge venting all the way to the edge and something else was installed upside down, requiring them to come back twice several weeks after the install. We also had someone on the roof to install a vent for a water heater and he noted severe rotting under our three dormers that should have been taken care of with the roof. We ended up fixing these ourselves. No, I wouldn't recommend them because they didn't complete the job to our satisfaction. Does anyone care about giving the customer good service anymore?

Olshan hired to adjust existing piers, install new piers, level house & do an after job waste water…read moreplumbing test in Pearland, Texas. 1.) Salesman wrote Contract & it was signed & scheduled (5 Figure Contract). 2.) Installation Crew worked 2 full days on my House Project. Compliments to the Crew - They worked hard, and were professional. 3.) Negatives : It has been 2 1/2 months since the job was finished. a.) I never heard from the Salesman again, to follow up on my satisfaction. b. Clean Up - As many jobs as Olshan does, some training & Care should be exercised. I found my Dryer Vent stuck up in a Shrub. When Installation Crew digs up Shrubs, they should not replant them in Gumbo, they will die. c.) They violated my Contract - Olshan never contacted me to do their after job waste water plumbing test. They took payment, & flew away. Disappointing.
