Love her creativity and the cakes always taste fresh and moist, not all dry and fondant-y just for show!

The woman working didn't great us but was super friendly to the other two couples. When asked about different pastries and items she seemed very annoyed but as a first time visitor we wanted to know. The prices were good for the variety and flavors. A lot of the items were softer and not as flakey as hoped for. The empanada tasted like my Italian grannies spaghetti sauce. I was hoping for some unique coffees but was just told no it was basic coffee. After walking out with $30 in bakery items which all had basic flavors we weren't thanked or ask for come back. However the next group of 6 that came in the woman was very nice and asked how they were as soon as they walked in. I can't say I'd drive 30 minutes out of my way for the service and items But I really love hearing the positive experiences and it sounds like Oscar is great

Bakery itself is pretty small but they have some seating available outside. People are very friendly there and so helpful with explaining everything. My sister and I got to meet the owner, Oscar and he made me think of my own family. Such a sweet guy, so friendly. We got the Cream filled croissant with Pistachio cream and the Dulce de Leche croissant and they were both absolutely delicious. Don't leave without getting the empanadas. We ordered two beef empanadas, sat outside and devoured them. They were so delicious we got two to go. This will be a go to place for sure everytime we visit Destin.

Inconspicuously tucked away in a corner of a small Plaza, I almost didn't see it ar first. As I finally arrived and entered, the little bakery gave off vibes of being a Metropolitan convenience store where you stand in a small enclosed area and everything is behind a glass to protect the clerks from nefarious activity. Very odd, but I'm here for the cakes, so let's move on. As I feverishly looked to see what cakes were offered... I chose Italian cream cake, and red velvet. Two of my favorites and classics with cream cheese icing. The hunks of cake were of huge proportion and had a good heft to where it felt like you were getting your monies worth. I rushed home to enjoy them in my own space. The first bite was of course, Italian... hmmm. That didn't go well. I took another... the cake had a proper flavor, but exhibited a dense soemwhat gummy but dry texture. I also caught a hint of egg yolk on my tongue, a taste I'm all to familiar with when my grandma admittedly fouled one of her recipes in a rush. Moved on to the red velvet, again the same dense slightly gummy but dry texture. No hint of egg this time, but I decided to put it into the microwave for 10 seconds. Maybe a slight touch of heat would revive the freshness just long enough to make it palatable. Unfortunately, it only helped slightly. I like warm cake, but I know what I know... this isnt a mishap, this is their signature and to be honest, I've had box cakes that was much more inviting than this. Unfortunately.. I have no desire for a second try.
