Their hospitality is fantastic from the minute you arrive to the last minute you are there , food is fantastic they have a private chef which makes the food more upscale , I myself prefer spicy street food but that is just me , their mixiologists ( primadonna bartenders ) are real good and don't mind telling you exactly what or how to make any of their mix margarita or creations fantastic !! Their accomodstions are some of the best I have stayed in huge, eve Netflix on tv , beautiful restroom , room service !! They pamper you while they teach you about their craft what a great way to learn ,the best. They took us to their aging room you can not begin to imagine about 300 barrels of amazing tequila in one room and it was 1 of three!!! We got to hear the founder of PATRON nothing but an ordinary man but we all waited in awe to hear words of the creator of such magical amazing place even myself and I am not usually out of words but this HOMBRE deserves all my respect and admiration for such a amazing vision . I have read my review and and I used the word amazing a lot but the PATRON HACIENDA deserves every single one of my praises and still fall short of such of magnificent trip. From start to finish, this was incredible. On the train, you'll meet people from all over the world, see the beautiful countryside, and learn everything about the fruitful agave. Upon entry, you'll get a guided tour, learn about the process, and take in the beauty of Jalisco. Don't even get me started about the food. So tasty! If you come make sure to try the bomb micheladas, charales (little dried fish), fried fish, native candy, ice cream etc. Beat days to come are during the week in the afternoon when most of the vendors are also open for business. Make sure togo on a boat ride to one of the two island on the lake. You can definitely pick up some authentic Mexican souvenirs. The boardwalk also has a couple of seafood restaurants and hotels. A think this is a great place to visit it isn't that well known by many tourists. If you leave the boardwalk and head into town (walking distance) you will see the local cathedral, municipal buildings, drug stores, cafes, bakeries, mercado, plaza, rodeo, fair grounds and many other great stores. A MUST PLACE TO VISIT SOMEDAY!

That said, even with those constraints, it was still a very cool and worthwhile experience. The tequila itself is absolutely delicious -- truly top-tier. The tasting pours were generous (definitely heavy-handed in the best way), which made it easy to fully appreciate the craftsmanship and complexity behind each expression. You can immediately tell how much care and tradition goes into their process. What was open gave us a glimpse into the fascinating history of Fortaleza, and the staff did a great job sharing the story behind the brand. The campus itself is beautiful, serene, and clearly special -- even partially closed, it left a strong impression and made us want to come back when everything is fully accessible. All in all, while the timing wasn't ideal, the quality of the tequila and the experience still shined through. For 50 pesos, you can either zip line or go through the suspension bridge. I would've love to do the zip line, but alas my friends all wanted to do just the suspension bridge. I would've enjoyed the walk on the suspension bridge more, however, we did stopped by a couple of places for fruit liquor tastings. Talk about a dizzy walk. A refreshment stand as well as another stand to grab fresh coconut to drink. I opted for the latter.

I finally canceled my tour without fee. Then I was contacted by somebody who nicely offered to rebook me at the Expedia price (44USD vs 75USD) on their advertised "Early Access to Tulum" Tour. It was kind of confusing as the description didn't not completely match the Expedia tour, particularly the pick-up time (7am on Expedia, between 5 and 6am on their website). The pick up was relatively on time (only 15 minutes late), and the drive and visit were very pleasant. The driver Saul and the guide Ursula were very competent and professional. We were back at our hotel before 2pm as advertised.

When we arrived at Tulum, we were expecting a tour by a trained Archiologist as they had advertised. Instead, we got a 30 minute general overview of the site. I got way more from the Wiki, and I seriously doubt he had any archeology credentials. The site itself was amazing despite the poor servive from Amigo. We had much better luck with a tour of Chichen Itza from Grayline tours a few days previous. To top off the poor service the bus that was taking us back to our hotel was too big for the narrow streets and had to drop us off well before our hotel, leaving us to walk the rest of the way.
