They offered food, shelter, information, minor medical assistance, and child-care services, as well as a Rec-Room full of books and board games. Without the Red Cross we would have suffered far worse than we did - and we might have even died. It was ten days before we were allowed to go back to our little road in the mountains, to see if our house had burned down. Luckily it was still standing, splattered with dried up foam. Some of our neighbors were not so lucky. Trucks with foam cannons had been parked on our street, blasting flame retardant up onto the hill above. The black charcoal of the Jasper Pines that once shaded our front porch could be seen - even years later. And our carpets stank of smoke until 2010. Our home was at the very battle-line of the disastrous inferno. A disaster which the American Red Cross saw us through without us getting so much as a scratch, or my daughter missing a single day of school. I thank them.

The person Josefina who runs the course seems nice but she is apart of it because whoever Tommie is she doesn't reply to emails and the business phone is off. So I called the number of the lady Josefina who ran the class she and signed paperwork she didn't help either.

This company is terrible at getting back to you. If you call the number you'll get an answering…read moreservice 100% of the time, after this company took my $85 and did not have an instructor show up for the class that was registered for -the owner finally called me back after dozens of phone calls a week later and said she would issue a refund to my credit card. I am still waiting on that refund and it's been two months and of course I cannot get through to anybody or get any response online, I've given her fair warning, and now I must go public with this lack of professionalism
