This program was very disorganized from day one. My first day no instructors showed up. Also you…read moreare charged each semester for skill supplies that are not replenished. Also during my last semester the school did not provide critical care equipment to practice with such as A lines ect. Also the turn over with teachers is big and we were told by various professors that the pay for them is not good, which was very unprofessional to tell students. Additionally when clinical started you are doing most of them at high desert hospitals and apu students at these hospitals have a bad reputation for not being efficient with there nursing skills due to the lack of teaching at the school. Also there is another school in this area called Victor valley college that has very strong students so most of the hospitals cater towards these students and apu students get pushed to the side. Emails can also take time to be answered due to the director at this campus having to do lots of jobs to overcompensate for the areas staff is lacking. Lastly I want to add not all the professors were terrible and a few there have a true passion for teaching and are very good at what they do.

They advertised a discount because of where I was employed, so being the financially responsible person I am I applied for this university. I reached out to everyone I could about them giving me the discount they were still advertising online and they never did. They didn't stop advertising the discount until months after, I wonder who else they took money from. Make sure you don't rely on their website information before giving them your money. Have it all on the contract.

There are 2 amazing teachers that I highly recommend taking a course with. Mr. Paul for phlebotomy…read moreand Mrs. Candy for CMA. Mr. Paul was so helpful when I got transferred to finish my externship for phlebotomy in Victorville. I was very nervous at first coming in to a new school, but he was so helpful with getting me back in the grove before going in to externship! I couldn't have done it without him! Mrs. Candy has and continues to be an amazing CMA teacher she has also made me want to become an instructor myself. She has been so helpful this far in to my course and couldn't thank her enough for the experience and encouragement that she has given me! Both these teachers have been amazing and deserve more credit than given! Once again I HIGHLY recommend take one of or both of their classes!

This might be one of the worst community colleges to attend. I'd been hoping they'd improved after…read morelosing accreditation and gaining it back, but it doesn't seem they have. I recently found out classes I'm taking are not transferable because the department teachers are not teaching at a proper university level curriculum. On top of that, I have been heavily misled several times by several different faculty. When I try to address these problems with supervisors, supervisors make promises to call me back with more information and then duck and dodge my calls. One department supervisor ended up calling me back and let me know she was only calling me back because her supervisor had to tell her to get in touch with me. He only knew she was failing to respond because I'd gotten in contact with him myself. If you're looking to further your education, take the time to find a better trusted college. One that has classes that are actually transferrable and will not lead you on. Otherwise you will be wasting your time here.

They told her she's not able to enroll due to no classes available,. We asked what about the next semester she said we won't have anything open then , we asked what about after that she said, we won't have anything available for a while. She then said you have to apply, which my daughter had all information on hand she then proceeded to say, well you need to apply for FAFSA and you need your parents information well like I said everything was already done . It's so disappointing how their answers are basically we can't help you. Thank god for other colleges that do help you and will help with the process. I have no idea how this place is running it's so foreign to me . I will take my daughter Down the hill to attend college. That's where we come from anyways i just never seen anything like this. A waste of time . Don't bother with this collage there are many others that' are really good and helpful.

I just graduated Cum Laude in the first LVN Program at the Riverside campus and it was worth all…read morethe sacrifices. Nursing school is not easy, I didn't expect to go into it without a full commitment or the mental preparation that it will be hard. I basically let go of any idea of a social life, had to significantly cut down on my expenses, and it was still a struggle. I worked with Lesley as my admissions/Recruiting Rep and enrollment was an a smooth process for me, she provided me with all the information I needed including the hours I would have to dedicate and set aside for classes so I knew full well what I was getting into. The Director of the non core classes was on campus very helpful to me when I had questions. The Anatomy and Physiology instructor Mr. Ali was the best! I mean just the most wonderful instructor to lay the groundwork needed for core classes. He made the course work fun. The instructors gave us the tools and resources and it was our job to utilize them. We had to put in the work and time consistently and I tried to fight every urge to procrastinate and put it aside. I failed sometimes time I didnt and passed the times that I did. Our the director Ms. Rayna was an awesome resource, always available, always looking for ways to help us learn, grasp the information and be prepared to practice safely after graduation. She was incredibly supportive and that's pretty rare compared to other schools I have attended. The instructor were the best, our campus was so lucky, I'm not sure if they are still around but Dr. Mahdi was our fundamentals, pharmacology and mental health instructor and I have always said every nursing student needs Dr. Mahdi to shape them into responsible nurses. She had a very hard expectations just as families for those we serve will have high expectations. Her way instructions helped me seriously grasp the concepts early on that were on the NCLEX exam. Kristin taught us Maternal, Peds and Leadership, she really carried us through. She is so inspirational in how much she loves her job and her patients. She drilled into us the importance in our role as educators. She is the reason I decided I wanted to work in women's health. She is honestly the greatest. Ms. Amie, Ms. kim, Dr. Joseph, Rochelle were also great instructors, inspirational in how they showed us the different fields of nursing are available to us. Available as support in and out of the classroom and just the best mentors to have guiding us. Ms. kim I would say probably made the biggest impact in my nursing trainings in terms of how she taught me to learn the concepts, write my notes, memory recall, and pass medsurg. It wasn't perfect, there were some very bumpy roads but looking back I would definitely choose Stanbridge again. Just had the greatest people to introduce me to the nursing profession in the safest way possible. Thanks to that I passed my Exit, NCLEX and got my license all in one month. So A+ for efficiency

They are extremely unprofessional and unorganized. My cohort was not informed about the new semester start date, the class days, or whether classes would be online, hybrid, or in person. Nothing. We are a few days into the 3rd semester, received the schedule the day of. If I had not woken up early on Monday to log in to Moodle, I would have missed the first day of class, since they did not inform us of anything. I sent emails to Heather Benevento (Director of Admissions) and Tammy Latu (Executive Director) with no reply. It took me sending a follow-up email for Heather to reply and say that I would hear back by the end of the day from either of them. Of course, to no surprise, I did not receive an email. Whenever I call the campus, my calls go unanswered. I leave messages, and they are not returned. They use the excuse that it's a new campus and ask us to give them some grace, but if you are late on a tuition payment, late to class, or miss a day, they will make sure you face the consequences ASAP. Turns out the schedule we were given for the semester is not even accurate. Our professor had to inform us today that our lab day is canceled because the school doesn't have the supplies (shocker!). And now we will have lab on a day we were told there was no class. What about those of us who have jobs? Doctor's appointments? Job interviews? This school expects you to form your life around them and only cares about getting their money and nothing else.
