I took two cotton maxi skirts to have made in to midi length. I thought it was the location…read moredowntown, but ended up being south of town. I guess I should have read the reviews! Ended up meeting Robert in his garage. He gave me a week time frame and called me one week later when my skirts were ready. One skirt ended up with a wave design every three inches in the stitching, but it had a busy pattern in the print so it wasn't that noticeable unless you knew it was there (like I did). I thought maybe he had tremors or some affliction that caused the shoddy work and did not complain. I took the second skirt out today for the first time to iron it and discovered a dime size iron on patch on the hem of the skirt. I removed the green patch and discovered a dime size hole burned into the fabric. I've never even worn it! The worst part about it is that he charged me $104 to hem two skirts! Abby's Alterations is closed so I don't know another alterations shop in town, but never again for Rosie's.
