As the people have said, Soheila is a true magician. She has taken an extremely complicated gown alteration and absolutely nailed it on the first try. No need for multiple revisions and fittings, just knocked it out of the park. Soheila was tasked with shortening my wedding gown, repairing broken beaded straps, and adding a bustle. The detail work on the bottom incudes delicate boning, lace/embroidery, bead work, and sequins. She had to remove each individual flower, take off one continuous thread of beading and sequins, shorten it, re-do the boning, and then put everything back together. It looks absolutely flawless and the way it hangs defies gravity. I truly feel like a princess when I wear it. The bustle in the back is easy to secure, sturdy for dancing, and is perfectly placed such as to highlight the contours of my derrière, if you will. Soheila must have spent many, many hours on my gown and still offered a more competitive price than other tailors I spoke with. I ended up choosing her over other tailors because she genuinely loves her job and seemed so joyful to offer her skills to make my day special. She is quick, communicative, sweet, reasonably priced, and an absolute master of her craft. I have been getting my clothes altered for more than 20 years in several countries. Usually I look for high end tailors who specialize in sewing formal wear from original design or magazine pieces. But I have also realized that with a good tailor you can basically have custom made to fit clothes with any price range clothes. I was so fortunate to have found Soheila! Not only does she have an amazing eye for beauty and style but her tailoring skills are one of the best I've seen. I bring ALL my clothes (from casual jeans to dressier pieces) to her and even find older clothes that didn't fit well for her to revamp. Every piece she works on turns out better. Many times after other alteration jobs the seam lines are not as finely done as factory made clothes. But with Soheila, it is even better! I wanted the slits closed up and swapped to the left side so I could show my tattoo. I'm so glad I got to meet Soheila. She is a very lovely person. I have a memorial service to attend this Friday and believed I needed some alterations on the pant suit I am planning to wear. I called Soheila last Friday, explaining the situation and she said she was able to accommodate me if I brought the pants to her on Monday, she could have it ready by Thursday. I went this moring to see Soheila, and low and behold, after putting on my "new" shoes with the pants (which are wide legged), Soheila assured me they were the perfect length "as is". This is my first experience with wide legged pants since the 70's, so I was happy to take the expert's recommendation. Felt even better after I got home and saw a photo of Meryl Streep at the Emmy's last night, with wide legged pants, falling on the shoes right were mine did.
