The facility always looks and smells clean. They provide rides to doctor's appointments and have relationships with excellent healthcare providers and a pharmacy that delivers. I toured three facilities before choosing Masonicare and am SO happy with this choice. My dad likes the location, "most" of the people (LOL), and says the food is "pretty good" which is pretty high praise from him. (Before he moved we tried Meals on Wheels, which he described as "inedible".) They have a lot of activities and although he doesn't participate in all of them, he's enjoyed the ones he has. He has a one bedroom apartment with a walk-in closet, and a small separate living room and kitchenette, which works well for him. Although he'd prefer to be at "home" (now sold), he says Masonicare is a good second option. This really is phenomenal given he originally refused to consider assisted living. Highly recommend checking out Masonicare if you are looking for either independent senior living or assisted living.

She requires an enormous amount of care and is a difficult personality. Other than a period when this place was run by a psycho named Tanya, the staff has learned how to treat my relative, is enormously patient with her, and has kept her healthy, alive, and well. Zero falls. Zero infections. They call me if they find even the tiniest scrape on her. This is NO small feat given how long she has been there, and through the pandemic no less. The downside is that there is very little communication and because turnover is so high just when I will get to know that one person handles one thing, that person is gone, and I've got no update as to whom I should now contact. Voice mails and emails normally go unanswered. There are supposed to be monthly case reviews however it's very sporadic and random. I'm also supposed to get quarterly statements about her money in her account but haven't received one in ages. I also don't think the residents are EVER taken anywhere. At all. The last trip I can remember was like 10 years ago. To a Walmart. But there are very nice grounds, and the rooms are large and comfortable. Like I say, mixed bag. Could probably do better and could definitely do worse.

The move was seamlessly organized, and now my Dachshund, Siamese Cat, and I are all happily residing (for the very first time) in the "Nutmeg State" along with my dressage horse who boards seven minutes away at DragonFly Equestrian Center. Since so many StoneRidge residents have "lives well-lived", making friends has been a joy. The care and quality of life is also created by the professional staff who reflect a feeling of trust and family. I'm delighted to have moved to StoneRidge early in my "retirement years". Now I'm filling my daily schedule with things I want to do rather than obligations and responsibilities. With StoneRidge's dining, cleaning, medical, maintenance and campus security services, my new chapter is most enjoyably cruising along.

I waited 20 minutes before I had to get up and walk on a foot that I had surgery on to the nurses station to get help! Second the IV machine has malfunctioned and I have been waiting 15 mins for IV meds which are time sensitive! Third, I have been here about 18 hours and NOT ONCE has anyone taken my vital signs (blood preesure, oxygen, or temperature) Fourth, I have been missing meds that are essential to my recovery, and I was rudely told that rehab facilities do not have in house pharmacies and I would have to wait for my meds. I have had back pain and have not slept at all since I have been here! I was told when I was released from the hospital that everything would be all set for me. Fifth, the tech that took my finger stick for my blood sugar DID NOT WEAR GLOVES and had DIRECT SKIN TO SKIN CONTACT with my BLOOD!!!!! I have been asked to be transfered out of this facility and they do have a bed at another facility nearby, but was rudely told that "it's not much better anywhere else." I did speak with the nurse in charge about my concerns, but I know it has fallen on deaf ears! DEFINITELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY TO ANYONE!!!

A huge mispresentation of facts, poor service and bad food is my experience at Crescent Point…read more My 85 year old father was walking on his own, driving and articulate in all ways prior to him moving into Crescent Point. My family was outright lied to and today after his fall while being transported by the repairman at Crescent Point he can't walk on his own and is confined to a wheel chair. The shower never worked in his room and I complained several times to no avail. They will say anything to get you to select Crescent Point, in fact they promised to transport my dad to his girlfirend's home three times a week and they never did once. An aide yelled at him in the dining room when he was incontinent. If you have any issues they have a thousand excuses and alway circle back and will blame your family member as being confused, ect. I have several emails where I complained about the same thing and they never did anything. We were told that they have a full nursing staff, but they don't. At night there are no nurses. After my dad fell and they brought him back to his room, the nurse called me at 8 o'clock and told me that my dad was in distress and that I had to make a decision to send him to the hospital or that she was going home. FIRST TIME I HEARD that there wasn't a round the clock nursing staff. This place should be SHUT DOWN. I filing complaint with the Connecticut Department of Social Service for Elder Abuse. Fact: When you take out your loved one out at night and just bringing them back to Crescent Point it will take you a get 15 minutes to ring a bell before the aide comes back to open the door and let you in...absoulutely crazy. My Dad lost considerable weight while his at Crescent ....the food was horrible. I do not reccommend Crescent point and am moving on to litigation.

The staff is kind, patient and really care about Mom, even on her difficult days. Expertly run by a director who is 100% tuned in to his residents' needs, Crescent Point gets 5 stars from the daughter of a sometimes-difficult memory care resident. I had excellent care by all staff. They are careing individuals from every RN, APRN, PT, OT and social services. Everyone worked together with me and my wife to give me the best possible outcome. They coordinated my discharge with Visiting Nurses of SECT. Those folks have also been very helpful and dedicated to making my road to full recovery easier and less confusing. If I ever need to return to a rehab facility, Bayview will be my first choice!

The rooms are a bit dated but the staff is friendly, especially Daniel who seemed to make it his job to be pleasant, friendly and fun. The PT department was very good also. If you or your loved one needs placement for rehab services, this is a decent, clean, pleasant smelling facility that does not have a "nursing home" feel.

About 2 weeks after, every kitchen staff member got sick with covid. These people don't use their heads. Absolutely awful. If you love your elders, don't stick them in this rotting hellhole. They also forced covid vaccinations on the employees with the threat of job termination.
