I'm Amazed at this woman who gives the office a 0. Wow. Methinks she is a know it all. He has state of the art x-ray technology there so I'm not surprised he would run that first. The gum test is also standard in most modern dental practices. Also, that he only cares about money. As if January this practice has become incredibly unprofessional, disorganized and incompetent. I have a care plan in place, scheduled for January to continue the plan. My appointment was booked with Dr Giron. Then it was canceled by the clinic and rescheduled in February not one but 3 times pushing my treatment until March. The dentist I saw was rude and refused to discuss my treatment until I spent more money on x-rays using up insurance money. And using another appointment that should have followed my plan. What was to be a crown ended up having a tooth pulled because of the delays. Then the crown on another tooth which should have been permanently has broken. I had an appointment scheduled but do to traffic accidents I was delayed so we rescheduled. This week I have had texts messages to confirm multiple voice mails to confirm which I did and then one today stating I would be charged a $50 for too many reschedules. Came in for four fillings and was there for 4 1/2 hours, two of which was waiting in the waiting room or dentist chair. ***He left mid filling to begin and end an exam.*** Mid filling, Dr Zeiler told me he had to get another bit for the drill. He did not come back for 45 minutes(no exagerration). Long enough for the local anesthetic to begin wearing off and the pain from the open pit he had drilled to begin. Had to be painfully re-administered . During one of the apologies from a passing dental assistant, I was told he was finishing an exam and would be in shortly. No recognition or apology for the situation from Dr. Zieler This is only one of the unprofessional and inconsiderate occurrences under his care. Got new insurance and had to scheduled a routine cleaning which ended up with me getting told I have gum disease and needed a specific treatment before the cleaning. I was also told I needed to comeback back every 3 months for cleanings or I was going to end up losing teeth. I have never had any issues with my gums and regularly go to the dentist every 6 months for my entire life. This was red flag number one. After waiting in the chair for 20 minutes, someone came in and told me the hygienist was booked today and I would have to come back later in the day or on a different day ever though I had an appointment scheduled at this time. This was the second red flag. I rebooked an appointment for another day and when I showed up at the correct time, I was told my appointment was cancelled and they did not know why. I got no notification and was told I had to rebook for another day. This was the third bad experience I had had from one appointment. I decided that this felt was too scammy and not like a serious dental office, so I never went back. I then heard one of my close friends had the same experience where they were told they had gum disease and would not clean their teeth until they paid for a certain procedure. The Dr came in and gave what my friend described as "a timeshare presentation" about how they can save money by paying $120 a month for 12 months to get the procedure done. My friend instantly knew the vibes were off and got out of there as fast as possible. I then looked at the reviews for this place and it seems to be a running theme of everyone who goes here having gun disease. This place makes their money off of lying to you and telling you you have gum disease or are at extreme risk of it so that you end up paying hundreds to dollars. BEWARE!!! read more

First off, the front desk and dentistry team at this place are super friendly and warm! You're not dealing with a cold, abrasive people. However, I'll say this practice is quite expensive and leans on the more aggressive side of treatment. I haven't kept up with my cleanings so I knew I probably needed work done but they recommended three root canals and started talking about future implants. I was also told I had him disease and received a treatment that I later found out was not covered by insurance and very costly. All that to say, this place is probably ok if you need a routine cleaning but as far as a permanent dentist I would seek a second opinion to save you from invasive treatments and such high costs. You can easily max out your insurance with just one visit at this place. read more

The crown in question from my prior appointment ended up needing more work, so I eventually had to return to Acadian. Dr. Girod was extremely kind and mentioned that he had seen my previous review. He was gracious about it and apologized for the service and my experience with the dental assistant and the call center. He removed and replaced my crown with a same-day crown and I left satisfied with the service. It has been over a week since I had it replaced, and I have experienced no problems. It has been a few years since my last visit to a dentist. Partially because I don't like going to the dentist and partially because I was just being lazy. My laziness might still be the same but my thoughts on dental visits have changed dramatically. Dr. Girod, Hannah, and the rest of the team were awesome from start to finish. The receptionist greeted me with a huge smile and made me feel right at home. Later in the visit she did an outstanding job of explaining my bill to me. She explained what was covered by insurance, what I had to pay out of pocket, and the reasons behind each of the charges. I then met with Dr. Girod for an informal meet and greet which helped to ease my apprehension. We discussed my dental history, what my goals were, and even a little bit of soccer. From there the procedure (I needed a filling) and the cleaning were a breeze. The office is very clean and the equipment is modern. They have personal TV's that can be used for entertainment as well as education. They keep your X-rays and pictures on your personal screen for you to be able to see as they are explaining things. This place is great and I recommend it to anyone in need of dental care. read more

About two years ago, I received a crown from Acadian Modern Dentistry. The crown was quite an investment for me, but the staff assured me that this crown was the best of the best and I was in good hands. This is where the nightmare began. About six months later the crown came off and cracked. I went to the office, and the team replaced the crown. All's good? Wrong. About 12 months later the crown cracked. I expected the office to offer potential solutions, but I was met with a cold response. The director of billing and receptionist retorted with a "too bad so sad" when I presented my case. I was taken aback by their insouciant approach. This isn't a relationship- this is a business transaction. I expected the dentist in that office to act under the "duty of care" umbrella. I thought I was putting my medical trust into an organization comprised of people with integrity, candor, and compassion. I received none of these things. Any slight inconvenience will result in a cold shoulder from these people. They are after money. The health of your oral hygiene is the least of their consideration. When I was in between a rock & hard place I was given the coldest shoulder by this office. They offered no solutions nor responsibility for the lack of longevity in my oral treatment. While I understand that we live in a capitalistic society, I'm both disappointed and hurt. Medical professionals are often guided under the "Hippocratic Oath" to do the right thing for their patients. We often trust our practitioners to have our best interest at heart because we trust their expertise. Do yourself a favor - question everything. Trust me - don't be fooled by the shiny toys/equipment. You will be better served at a family practice with dentists that act ethically and exhibit genuine kindness. When push comes to shove, you don't want to folks to penny, nickel, & dime you when it comes to your health. If only this dentistry was as detailed with their dental work as they were with enforcing their "policies" I wouldn't be in this situation. Alas, the investment of my crown has depreciated at an exponential rate. It is year 2 and I am going on my third crown for the same tooth [I got the worthless "Single-Visit" CEREC® crowns]. Going to this office will require a tune-up more often then staff lets you know. If you have excess money to spend on dental care - Acadian Modern Dentistry is the place for you. My daughter had an appointment to have two of her wisdom teeth removed last Tuesday. When my daughter arrived for her appointment, Bryan, the office manager, told my daughter that he canceled her appointment because I was rude when I scheduled the appointment. We never got a text message, or email stating that the appointment was canceled. This is so unprofessional to cancel a patient's appointment without notifying them, or because you decided that I was rude. If you thought I was rude I would expect that you voice your opinion and let me know instead of canceling my daughter's appointment without sending a text message, or email. Thankfully, there are other dental offices that will be elated to remove my daughter's wisdom teeth. This is a warning. Please TREAD lightly when you speak to Bryan because he's very sensitive and may cancel your appointment if he feels like you were rude. Dr. Girod has been my primary DDS and has done an excellent job over the past few years I've been seeing him. Since I've changed dentists my mouth has not been happier or healthier. Today was derailed by a dental emergency. My long time DDS told me it would be a week before they could help me fix work they had previously done. They had zero compassion leaving me in pain, scared and frustrated. Incredibly disappointed but so happy that a friend recommended Levy and Vutera Family Dentistry who fit in an emergency procedure for a new patient with compassion, grace and a smile from answering the phone to fixing the problem. First, if a Doctor has time to sit down with you 6 times in one appointment, there is something wrong. On arrival you sit with the Dr for about 5 minutes going over your medical history (okay that's fine) When he asked about my wisdom teeth I told him I never formed them. (not uncommon) He told me he needed to check because if they were there he would need to remove them soon! BEFORE EVEN LOOKING IN MY MOUTH. We get to taking X-ray's. Big fancy equipment... Everything was fine I get brought to the room where the hygienist met me. She tells me she is going to do a test on my gums for infection (okay that's normal) let me say that my mom was a dental assistant for YEARS as well, I worked in a dental office in high school. I know a thing or two about simple exams and test. She leans me back and starts STABBING AT MY GUMS. I'm not talking about pressure. She stabbed all the way around my mouth to the point where she made them bleed. She and the Dr tell me that since my mouth bled, I have gum infections. NO DUH IT BLED!!! My soon-to-be husband was in there just a few weeks ago and GOT TOLD THE EXACT SAME THING! After repeatedly telling me that if I didn't have this "extensive gum cleaning" I was going to have to get a gum graph..... After they left the room (still have not touched my teeth) I get on google reviews and read the same story from multiple people. The front desk lady then comes in with my sheet that has the totals for the gum cleaning ($1100).. I kindly ask that they just clean my teeth or I was leaving. The Dr visits a few more times because he is so concerned about why I am refusing treatment. I know they were just trying to get money out of me mainly because they told my fiance the exact same thing and multiple other people the same story. I know for a fact that I do not have gum disease. After finally getting my teeth cleaned, she one last time stabbed my gum to tell me how important it was that I get the treatment. In conclusion.... DO NOT GO HERE. Lots of fancy equipment and large staff. The quality of work is not what you'd hope it to be and there are always add-on charges that exceed the insurance. I had a horrible experience with one of the doctors when I had a tooth root abscess and ended up with two root canals, a painful nightmare of a procedure. I've been going here a little over a year and most likely put one or more of Dr, Girods kids through school. I am one of those people that hates the dentist and would rather un medicated child birth of triplets before even sitting in a dental chair and getting my teeth cleaned. Dr. Girod has changed my mind. Everyone there is so nice and understanding of my anxiety of being there. Dr. Girod always greets me by first name and seems to remember the things that were going on in my life at my last visit. He and his staff are all so nice- but not overly nice to the point of being annoying. I will never LOVE being at the dentist. but now i don't dread it, postpone every appointment to the last minute, or simply just not show up. They have changed my view on dentistry. Before i thought all dentist were evil people who enjoyed causing people pain- now i know that at least he and his staff are genuinely good people who want the best for their patient. thanks for making my smile something to be proud of again.
