No recognition or apology for the situation from Dr. Zieler This is only one of the unprofessional and inconsiderate occurrences under his care. Dr. Brooksher didn't even blink an eye. He bothered to read the literature and to inform himself then went about his business and treated me like a human being. Steady and gentle hands; a professional and friendly staff; basically all that could be asked of a healthcare provider. One slight issue is that my insurance only pays for the old amalgam fillings rather than the new technology Dr. Brooksher uses. It's worth the extra cost though to have the better quality filling.

The office staff are non-caring, non-helpful, brash, loud and rude, plus, the phone lines are always busy, which makes it difficult to follow up or even make appointments. They don't reach out with updates in a timely manner so I had to call, and call, and call. 2. Dr. Aldy's work is subpar. I had a crown put in by her which kept falling out so I eventually had to get that tooth pulled. The second crown is cracked and worn as though constructed from the post/cheapest material. 3. Most disturbing, Dr. Aldy referred me to LSU school of dentistry for implants but after I got the implants in, she has refused to provide me with follow up care and service. Leaving me to figure things out myself. Dr. Aldy says it's too much trouble to get my dental records from LSU and that her fees don't cover the difficulty of acquiring my records. So, I'm now left with two incomplete implants without the finishing crowns because, she "is not interested in performing the procedure". That to me is an insult and the epitome of unprofessionalism. Taylor Dental has given me by far the worst experience I've ever had at a dental office. I received a confirmation text, yet when I arrived, I was told my appointment wasn't confirmed. After waiting 30 minutes, I was then asked to come back later or reschedule -- even though I had already taken time off work. The most frustrating part is that my dental insurance was ending the very next day, and I was trying to use it before losing coverage. I filed a complaint and never heard back -- no call, no email, nothing. I also have braces through Taylor Dental, and throughout my treatment, they've had three different orthodontists. Each time, my treatment plan changed. The latest orthodontist introduced a new plan, which the front desk told me would require an extra payment. I wasn't happy, but I agreed because I just want my teeth done right. I rescheduled my next appointment for July 31, 2025 at 3:15 PM, but today I received a text asking me to confirm a 9:15 AM appointment instead. When I called to correct it, I spoke with a staff member who said she usually works at their New Orleans location. She was dismissive and rude, telling me I needed a filling first and that the 3:15 time was no longer available. After a frustrating exchange, I told her to cancel everything -- only to be told I'd owe an extra $250 for removal, even though removal and retainers are included in my treatment plan and my contract is already past its end date. This is now the second time they've canceled or changed my appointment without notifying me. The customer service is terrible, communication is poor, turnover is constant, and the quality of care is not consistent. If I hadn't called today, it would have been another wasted day. I've left another complaint -- we'll see if anyone follows up this time.

Being new to the area, I spent a lot of time researching practices that met my needs and budget. More importantly somewhere with a kind and transparent staff. Tiger Smile checked all the boxes. I told them about my anxiety and they were very accommodating. They're handling COVID-19 very well and have an effective system in place so there's no interaction with other patients. Everyone on staff- receptionists, hygienists, assistants, dentist- make you feel welcomed and comfortable. They made sure I understood my procedure and paperwork, and of course answered any questions I had. I'm not sure if this is helpful for anyone, but they do seem to have an all female staff (besides the other dentist, who I have never seen). Personally, although I'm not sure why, this helped me feel even more comfortable. Lastly, they offer an annual membership package that helps with the cost. In my research, I noticed at least half of the places I looked didn't have anything like this or even some sort of new patient discount. Tiger Smile isn't the only great option in Baton Rouge area, but it's top tier. And it was the best option for me, so I'm thankful! And my teeth and gums feel great!

They have this offer where it's only $19 for a emergency exam and X-ray. Well I went in hoping that they could help me out and they did! Apparently one of my fillings had fallen out, and since I have sensitive teeth, the nerve pain was what was causing the toothache. They treated it temporarily, gave me an rx for some high-strength ibuprofen, which worked wonders. Who would've thought. Thanks Tiger Smile for saving my family vacation. It would've been terrible if the only thing I could remember from my vacation was a toothache.
