This includes computer and networking consultation, basic desktop construction, security, repair, and troubleshooting. We do this with a customer-focused and respect-based approach to business. Something that we believe has been missing from the business community for a long time.

History

Established in 2021.

The founder, David J. Bourg, has been working and playing on computers from an early age. Throughout his education as well as beyond, he learned as much as he could about computers and how they operate. This time included working in university computer labs in the mid-1990s as well as teaching non-credit university courses. He spent the next two decades working in a variety of different jobs focusing on customer service in different environments. During this time, he learned that customer satisfaction should not only be expected but exceeded during every customer/business relationship. In 2020, he began attending South Louisiana Community College. At the time of this writing, he is beginning his last semester that will culminate in a technical diploma in Information Technology. With this intended technical diploma, as well as a few professional certifications in hand, he began the process of opening a successful computer business, named Acadiana Tech Works.

Meet the Business Owner: David B.

David J. Bourg, the founder of Acadiana Tech Works LLC, has been playing on and working with computers since he was about five years old. During his three years at Nicholls State University, he worked in the university computer labs and taught non-credit courses, including web-page design (HTML). After university, he began a career as a commercial driver, but in his heart, he still longed to work with computers. After surrendering his Commercial Drivers License (CDL) license in 2018, he was fortunate enough to land a job as a technical support representative with a fairly new technology company. Between this job and online courses, he was able to update my knowledge and learn new IT skills. With the support of his wonderful and supportive wife and after moving to Lafayette; he now have decided to start Acadiana Tech Works, LLC.
