Great service and personnel. Fair pricing. They are able to come weekly on my preferred date.

I've been a member for about 3 months and it's been such an incredible experience so far. Sivan was super helpful and helped me sign up. Her and along with everyone else I've encountered with have been nothing but wonderful. I did my assessment and complimentary personal training session with Jenn. She has such an extensive knowledge about wellness especially when it comes to women's health. She gave me some pointers about rebuilding my pelvic floor strength and put together a plan for me. I've also attended a few mat pilates and spin classes, which were great. Last month, I had a facial in their spa which was relaxing and exactly what I needed after not having a facial for almost a year. On a few occasions, I've brought my son with me and had him stay in the Kids Club. Emme and the others are so sweet and welcoming. Overall my experience at Equinox Woodland Hills has been really wonderful - from the welcoming staff, clean facility, variety of classes, to the positive vibes. Now as a working mom, I don't have as much time to go as often but I'm hoping to keep up with my work out routine.

After several months she can't do the back float for as long as they'd like in order to progress her to anything else, but the program is completely linear, so if your kid can't back float independently for a long time, then they won't teach them to do anything else. It is a busy, loud, revolving door of kids coming in and out, and they move right to the next kid when yours gets out of the water, so there's not really time to talk to the teacher about what they will try differently next time. Trying to call the office is no use unfortunately. I've never gotten through. I wouldn't recommend this program for kids who need a tailored approach or who are nervous in the water. Maybe if your kid is already a great swimmer.

Staff enforces mask wearing and wipes are available to wipe down your equipment. AND PEOPLE ACTUALLY DO IT!!? What?! Everyone re-racks the weights and plates properly, and there are plenty of squat racks and benches. They have a track to run on as well as a HIIT area on the upper floors. There is also an area to do abs and stretching. They offer private pilates, Zumba, and yoga classes. Not to mention that they have an incredible rock climbing wall. This place is luxurious and spacious, and I'm not mad about probably ~50% of my tuition going to its maintenance and upkeep. Only thing that bothers me about the SRC is that they have such limited hours around the holidays. For example, this past weekend following Thanksgiving, they were only open from 10-2 pm. They are also closed from Dec 25- Jan 1, which I guess is understandable. But then again they are closed the week before the spring semester starts. It makes me feel like if I wanted to work out during those times, I need to purchase a separate gym membership somewhere else (which I do not want to do). Also, keep in mind that if you want to rock climb, you have to come at certain times as well, when the rock climbing staff are there. They really need to bring back the guest passes! Especially if that guest was an alumnus. And if they are going to charge $180 a semester for alumni gym membership, maybe make it worth it by not randomly closing down a couple weeks before the semester starts.

Oof... I'm so bummed to be writing this!…read more Things started out so great and so fun! Signed up as a racquet member and got xlife. We were told they were going to have a pickleball league and that the pickleball was super active. We were told about a fun scramble style game they played on Tuesdays and that folks were super welcoming. We were told the pool was a place we could hang out with our kid over the summer. Great bait and switch. None of these things happened. It does look like they're starting up their pickleball league this year. We joined at the end of Nov. 2024, only to be met with a pretty significant dues increase in January 2025. No mention of This at our sign up. We went once a week for pickleball and dinner. The childcare during those things was amazing (Fridays only). The ladies there were so sweet. The food at the restaurant was pretty good. The only issue there was the increase in prices. It went up pretty significantly in the one year we were there. The live music on Friday was wonderful, especially when Justin was there. The pickleball was dead. The Tuesday thing was a joke. They were not welcoming and def didn't do the scramble thing that was advertised. I went to the gym 3-4 times a week. It's small and super outdated. For the monthly fee, I expected much better quality equipment. The treadmills were rough and the teen swim team was always taking over. The classes were good though, especially JDs. The pool is for their swim team. That's it. I know that's not true formally, but that's the truth in practice. The family centered events were great (all extra charges). All of this would get them about a 3 star rating. The one star comes from their predatory billing practices. While we were members, there were numerous errors. I diligently check my statement every month. I found errors more months than I did not. I would guess that this is happening to more members than us. If you are a current member, do not trust them. Please review your statement every month. I'm talking hundreds of dollars in errors. In September, we put in our notice to leave at the end of November. Took literally weeks and multiple emails to finally get a response. They offered us the Halloween event for free as a thank you and goodbye. Surprise surprise, they charged us for it. Took multiple emails to get it removed. They have since tried to charge us for a renewal fee, dues for December, and I just received an invoice for January. I truly don't know how it can be THIS bad. I'm guessing a lot of their clientele just don't notice.

With the upgrade, there were a few backend issues, which meant I interacted with the front desk more than usual. What stood out to me was how positive that experience was because of the people working there. The front desk team at this location has been consistently warm, welcoming, and supportive. Every interaction I've had has been friendly and reassuring. Going to the gym can already feel intimidating for a lot of people, and having staff who greet you, smile, and genuinely want to help makes a big difference in whether you feel comfortable walking in the door. I especially want to mention Uriel. I'm not sure of his exact role, but he truly represents the tone of the front desk team. He's kind, patient, and attentive, and he makes you feel seen rather than rushed or dismissed. Employees like him are a big reason members feel safe and encouraged to keep showing up. A couple of days ago, I went in again to check on the status of my upgrade. The person assisting me wasn't sure how to resolve it and asked another staff member to step in. That individual, Rob, who I later learned is the general manager, had a noticeably different demeanor from the rest of the team. From the start, his tone felt defensive and closed off. There was no warmth or sense of wanting to help, and the interaction felt uncomfortable. Instead of feeling supported, I felt as though I was inconveniencing him simply by asking a question. In a gym environment, where many members already feel vulnerable, that kind of interaction can be discouraging. What stood out most was the contrast. The front desk staff consistently creates a welcoming and encouraging environment, while this interaction with leadership did the opposite. Leadership tone sets culture, and moments like this can either reinforce or undermine the experience members have. I'm sharing this because the front desk team truly deserves recognition, and because member-facing leadership interactions matter more than people realize.
