We had been with this company over 10 years. Nothing but attitude and how they don't make enough money, can't get good help. They are no bargain! When I was out of town and my ring camera showed they were only at my pool for about 10-12 minutes ? I sent a text message pointing out that for a 44,000 gallon Extra large pool that is an unacceptable amount of time to clean test the water and do a good job. I was called a liar, told that I complain and I could go elsewhere. It was a long very nasty text the owner Mike clearly spent time and thought on. Rather than apologizing he told us we took the 3 paragraph text wrong. Insulting! Guess what? I did fire him! He did tell me there were many other places to go:). Thanks Mike. No misunderstanding there. There are so many options out there. I haven't wanted to change Just out of convenience. Should've done this years ago. My husband called Gold Coast Pool & Spa and talked to the owner, Mike Sidoti. My husband informed Mike that while we were out of town something caused our pool plumbing to blow apart. Mike was in the area so he came right over to take a look. Mike verified what my husband had suspected was true. Something in our Salt Water Generator (SWG) caused a gas build up, which is why the pipe had burst. My husband was given a quote to replace any damaged parts and install any plumbing that needed to be replaced. The quote was more than fair so we approved the work.  Mike's crew came on time and they were courteous and professional! Mike Sidoti and his staff and Gold Coast Pool & Spa have been amazing to work with and their customer service is above par. We had a paver construction job in our backyard so we had to get them in to do a pool initialization and cleanup since the paver work had to have our pool drained completely. Their quote was comparable to most, but Mike's response to questions plus their report out to us on pool chemical levels (for those that care) was an unexpected nicety. With a good experience under my belt, naturally, I asked about the rebate for a variable speed pool pump and new heater, and he walked me through both also offering competitive pricing on top of the line equipment. With that I had to go with them again and their customer service. His staff had so much experience and expertise that they reran some of the plumbing to get it of my way when inside the pool equipment wall which again was unexpected and very nice. So after contacting Heinz in regards to our artificial turf being ruined we was told that his employee did not step on the grass and had no need to to and we would have to look for someone else to blame for the grass... Thankfully we have cameras installed and were able to recover the footage of the employee walking to the trash cans then walking over the grass leaving behind a trail of footprints with some kind of chemical sludge attached that in the end we were unable to remove after a few weeks of trying.... What started out to be a pleasant experience with this company has now turned into a nightmare and we have had to file with a smalls claims court against them... From what we can see if the job goes well they like to take the accolades on reviews etc but if it goes wrong they like to ignore the problem read more

Mike came by as scheduled and provided me with a detailed quote along with some recommendations based on his site visit. Though he recommended to also update our filter I decided to put that off til start of next season. His team showed up early (AWESOME!) and proceeded to clean up sloppy wiring done by a previous contractor, remove our solar heater control, re-pipe some valves, add a Pentair smart panel for remote operation, connect our heater, pool pump, spa pump, pool & spa lights as well as our landscaping lights (BONUS!) to the smart panel. Mike's installation team went above and beyond in troubleshooting a clogged line to the spa that was limiting the water flow - after several attempts with high pressure water they were able to clear it with a coupe of shots of compressed air. Its like a brand new spa again!!!! They then walked me through the iPhone app and showed me how to use every feature related to our setup. Gold Coast did the restoration of our pool's skimmer, the correct size line to out filtration equipment, the water line through the skimmer to the pool and the vacuum line from our pool cleaner to the filter. Exceptional work; with old fashion business style and integrity. My pool had to be reconstructed because I had a pool man redo a cantilever deck to coping and he was working out of class and did not put in an expansion gap, which caused the pool to crack about a half a foot down all around the pool . I could only run the pool with a low water level and a Creepy Crawly to prevent constant leaking. Ultimately it failed causing me to drain the pool for several years. Unfortunately was unaware there were different classes pf pool contractors. I had an extremely difficult brick deck done by an old school master mason. Heinz allowed me to hire another master mason to do final brick work and subtract the cost from the bill. Who does that anymore?
