We bought a complete fixer property that included a yard and pool that hadn't been maintained for over 30 years. The pool looked and smelled like a swamp and even had fish in it (see picture). I got a few different bids but one contractor didn't want to get a permit and another gave me a ridiculous bid without even measuring. David from OP came by and was not concerned at all by the pool's condition--he was immediately in design mode and started showing me pictures of other projects he worked on for inspiration, including one that started from a similar condition. We had recently purchased a home with a large backyard that was in pretty rough shape. We decided that we wanted to update it with a new retaining wall, patio pavers, and artificial turf. We had a 1-week delay for our retaining wall stones to come in, but as soon as they arrived, that wall was up that same day! There was a few setbacks with the artificial turf, but nothing major. There was not enough and an additional piece needed to come in. We were fine with it. That area was blocked off so my son or dogs wouldn't trample the sand. But David was great at stopping by and checking in with us at each step of the way, not only with this minor setback, but throughout the whole process from start to finish. All the materials were covered, including steel reinforcement for the slab, and its expansion joint. The roof matched the exact color of my house, and they used excellent materials to build it. They helped a lot with the permit with HOA, which is huge relief for me. The roof used a engineered beam to span 25-ft, without middle columns, and the landscape looks beautiful and wider without obstacles. We also planned all the details of the canopy, including TV location, BBQ station, furniture, lighting, fans, outlet locations, floor slope, etc. Even he built for my a waved-edge of the concrete slab at front, providing a sea spirit to the canopy.
