They came out a day later to look at my yard and give me a quote. Did some comparison shopping: excellent price! Two days after that, the team was in my yard making everything look great! I thought they weren't coming because it was raining... then all of a sudden I heard branches falling! I thought maybe the rain was coming down so hard it broke a branch! This is North Carolina, after all. But alas... that was not the case! I had them trim back my cherry blossom tree. They did something amazing to the trunk... It was dull and peeling before. It is smooth and shiny now! Not to mention the hideous rogue broken branch coming out of the side of the tree that they smoothed out. I was curious about the shape of the tree. It wasn't symmetrical. Then they said something interesting: they said they basically followed the shape of the way the tree was growing. So it's almost like a bonsai tree! I was going to have one bush pulled out. I didn't realize that the one right next to it was at death's door. It was pretty obvious after they said it. I look at it every day and just didn't notice it. After removing those two, they added three new ones. Then there was a rogue maple tree that was trying to grow up through one of the bushes that was not dying. Somehow they were able to get to the tree that was trying to grow through the bush and remove it. And on top of all that, I mentioned that the branches on my neighbor's tree were so overgrown they were literally touching the ground. They said they would get that too since they were already here. I thought maybe they were going to cut off a couple branches because they hadn't changed the quote at all. They did a lot more than cut a couple rogue branches. He made it look amazing! This company claims to be experts in fire, water, and smoke restoration. Due to the lack of and short cut taking they cost my insurance company almost 400k to restore my home which was a ridiculous amount for the amount of damage that TriCo claimed. I had to have other companies come behind them and fix things that Tri-Co was not capable of completing and or fixing correctly. They used lesser quality materials and installed items I did not want or ask to have in my home. And on top of this amount, they wanted me to use the replaceable content $ to pay for some of the work. Greed, greed, greed. So sad. Clint Pressley attempted to advantage of my vulnerability while he is married. Chad and his crew smoked marijuana on my property while on the job. I have so many rude text messages and conversation recordings to back this. Not sure if the insurance man was in on this robbery with these guys, but he would side in with them when I called him for support. Very, very sad. I decided to complete a review upon my last text message to them about two outlets that have not been properly installed and a continued leaking issue in basement where the company cut through my brick and did not patch the area afterwards. Jeff the contractor hates to take responsibility for his choices and companies that he works with, I say this due to his arguments when I would address things such as what I have written about and so many more of a yearlong problem I called 58 Foundations and Waterproofing to assist in the water leaking that TRi-Co's team left unresolved.

Jeff F. and Jeff D. were both an absolute pleasure to work with. They took out 6 cabinets, 2 still had items in them because they were not slated to come out. They didn't even look in the cabinets, and I now they had to hear the items rattling around when they loaded them. When it was brought to they're attention, 10 minutes after they left for lunch, they said they would bring everything back. A week later, we they brought back 10 items, not even a quarter of what the cabinets contained. They tore up our subfloor getting the flooring out, which was a floating floor that would have come up easily without the crowbar. The supervisor came out one time before they started the job and we never saw him or any other project manager after that. I would never have them step foot in my house again.

It's a rather large room with vaulted ceilings so I was a bit worried that they wouldn't be able to finish it all that day. I met with Nathan, the owner, in early September to get a price quote and ask him about recaulking some trim in the vaulted ceiling. He typed up the quote that day at our house and emailed it to me immediately. Five Star was not the most inexpensive quote we received. In fact they were on the higher end - but you get what you pay for with them! Working with Five Star was easy, throughout the entire process. Sergio (our painter) showed up on time (early actually) and stayed a little late to ensure the job was finished in time for us to move in the next day. He did an impeccable job with the painting and was polite and professional to boot! Working with Nathan and Five Star was a breeze! They made everything easy, sent documents electronically, and followed up after the painting was done to ensure everything looked good. One small spot of caulking was missed on our ceiling and Sergio stopped by Monday morning to ensure it was fixed. He even repaired a couple dings the movers had left in the ceiling of our stairwell. I will definitely hire Five Star for future painting needs. If you do the same, ask for Sergio! He did a great job for us!

Second time...still major issues that wasn't completed! Sorry, not giving them a 3rd time as this "painting" crew was unprofessional and nothing but a bunch of morons!
