The moment our travel nurse Jan hit our Hospital floor-Mom and I knew this was the best money we could have spent to get Dad from Erie, PA to South Carolina safely after 2.5 months in various care facilities. Jan took over getting current vitals, understanding Dad's history and meds. She made us comfortable, and explained the process. The team gently got Dad loaded into the roomy comfortable van and got him snuggled up with pillows and soft blankets. We envied him being so well cared for, and able to sleep most of the trip home. Over the 14 hours home, the driving team of Raul and Kacey were so kind, reassuring and effective. I loved that there was also room for Mom to ride and sleep next to Dad in the transport. As we arrived in the early morning hours, the team got him comfortably tucked into bed, Jan helped Mom set up his med schedule. Since everyone pays out of pocket for this service, let me share something I would have done differently knowing what I know now. Ask your hospital Social Worker/Discharge Coordinator if you can pay the bill, but they handle the booking? We nearly lost our transport due to a delayed lab that jeopardized Dad's release. Our Social Worker saved the day by communicating the challenge on our behalf. Since hospital discharge can be fluid, your Social Worker/Discharge Coordinator is better equipped to pick your transport day and time, and communicate with ACC Medlink. ACC MedLink are Masters of gathering good people in the right place, at the right time. I appreciate the Logistics that go into them doing their job so well. I appreciate Tyler and Maria being available in the late evening hours in the office. The online request for a bid -filled out before we called was a big time saver. I found this service to be my only choice to get my wife with a cerebral artery dementia diagnosis back to Florida. she had a oxygen requirement of 4 liters per minute which was a level above airline cutoffs. If it wasn't for the ground transportation I would not have been able to move her from California to Florida. it took 48 hours to make the trip and they accommodated myself on board as well. I found each of the crew to be receptive, courteous and professional in their roles. The drivers were phenomena, I wouldn't want to be driving the roads they drove in the dark. Stops were well placed to avoid "stress on the body". There was a female Nurse on board that was a blessing. I had just been though buying a condo in Florida placing a house up for sale in San Diego and packing up a 2 bedroom condo and dealing with the movers all by myself. She just told me to go lay down and sleep, she took over the care of my wife. This company was a lifesaver and enabled me to move. I really can't say enough about this company and people who were employed for our transport, they came through for me when I needed it most they were an absolute blessing and worth every penny to get my wife Back to Florida with the least amount of stress in her condition. read more

We were moving my brother, who is incontinent and in a wheelchair, from a nursing home in Chicago to a nursing home in NH. We had no idea as to how to provide the desired ground transport until I discovered Medlink in a google search. A gentleman named Bobby was the caretaker for my neighbor and friend who was moved from Independence Missouri to Maine. it was a very hard move for her and I both but Bobby made it okay, he actually had my friend who has dementia and was very scared smiling and laughing along the way. When they stopped to eat he called me so I could talk to her on the phone and she sounded wonderful. He allowed me to send him pictures so he could show them to her along the way and I was able to check on her through the trip. He couldn't have been better at helping us feel more comfortable for her journey, thank you Bobby You are a saving grace. I want to add the other 2 gents that were on the trip as well unfortunately I don't recall there names. They were all 3 very patient and understanding through all of it. My sister was in a nursing home in Charlotte NC all alone - no family - no one to watch over her care. Her entire family lives in Rochester NY a 12-13 hr drive away. Trying to do this by car would have taken us 5 days because of the many stops & she would have still been uncomfortable. Then I found ACC Medlink. I got word of a opening in a nursing home here on a Monday at 10 & by 1:00 they had committed to picking her up Wednesday! They were on time & we actually got to speak with her multiple times throughout the day & they constantly gave updates. My sister said all the staff were soo nice to her & they got her whatever she wanted to eat. The ride was soo comfortable she slept during many parts of it. They are a God send. I needed to get a loved one from Eastern Nebraska to Southern California. He has severe dementia, takes insulin, is incontinent and cannot walk. Driving him or taking him on an airplane would have been a nightmare. I found ACC through a Google search. They are AMAZING!! They kept in communication from the time I first called them. I was not sure when he would be released from the Rehab facility and one day I got that he would be released in 4 days. I called ACC and they were ready to go in 72 hours! They picked him up yesterday morning and 24 hours later, he was delivered safe and sound in Californian. They called me and kept in touch ever step. They even called me an hour before he arrived. ACC Medlink provided Bariatric transport from NJ to GA. I was very afraid and apprehensive preparing to travel from NJ to GA after being confined and bed bound since prior to pandemic. If I'm being honest the undertaking was very rough in the beginning! BUT, they went above and beyond to correct and rectify the situation! My transport crew made me and my sister feel at ease from the moment they arrived, during transport and upon arrival in GA! Being a Bariatric patient I felt safe, comfortable and at ease! I was totally impressed by the professionalism , care and compassion that the drivers and our paramedic gave my husband going from North Carolina to New York Their names are. The lead driver was Shava Dougherty Co driver was Andrew Smith Paramedic was Quintavius "Q" Buxton I highly recommend all three of these gentlemen. Q texted me to keep me informed on how the trip was going ,what he was eating and that he slept a lot but that they did trans him on to his side as needed to help his bedsore. I recently used this service to move my elderly mother from Louisiana to Georgia. Every interaction I had with this company was pleasant, helpful, informative, and reassuring - and they lived up to my expectations. My mother was a little anxious about this type of travel but said it was great and everyone treated her very nice. They arrived on time to pick her up and to transfer her into my brother's house. Their communications were great at every step of the process. While I hope to never need this type of service again, if I do it is so comforting to know who to call. Our experience with the entire staff of ACC Medlink was excellent. The team that transported my mom from Florida were professional, kind and compassionate. Her RN Justin, took the time to get to know her as a person and not just an ill, elderly woman. Throughout the 19 hour trip to Kansas City we exchanged numerous texts, phone calls and even pictures. My mind was at ease that she was in good hands and that all efforts were being made to keep her comfortable. This is a premium cost for a premium product. Debbie and Danny moved my dad 3.5 hours. He experienced a massive stroke and we decided to move him close to us. We use Medlink to transport Mom from Georgia to New Jersey. The vehicle was exceptionally clean and spacious for the long trip. And the crew/team that was on board for mom's trip was fantastic. This was a 550-mile transfer of an elderly parent from a skilled nursing facility in one state to the SNF in another state. Communications from the medical tech of the three-person crew were timely by phone call, text, and images. Documents required for admission at the receiving SNF were handled by the crew as well. Very shady. This company is not only irresponsible but they're not licensed in the United States to offer ground ambulance transportation. This company is a stretcher van carrying oxygen without any licensure allowing them to do so. No EMS licensure. No ambulance certification. Nothing. They have an air ambulance license but last I checked you don't drive planes on the ground. The owner Mike is quite possibly the cheapest guy going. They'll duck your calls. They'll lie to you.
