Piss poor company. Wouldn't have them move my trash cans down to the curb. Not only do they charge and arm and a leg for mileage. They went not even a mile down the road and doubled the moving charge. Once again I wouldn't recommend them to move anything for me again! read more

Almost 2 weeks ago, I hired this company to move items from a townhome to an apartment. Chris, the owner, seemed cordial at first... saying his guys would do the job as close to four hours ($500 "deposit" and $134/4 hrs. thereafter) as was possible. The 2 guys that showed up on moving day (20 mins. late) looked a bit skeptical. They came in & began moving some things. At some point, they decided to take a smoke break. I received a call & I had to go to the new place to do paperwork. I asked the guys if they would be o.k. if I left for an hour or so. I hated to leave them alone with my stuff, because they clearly needed supervision. I returned my keys to the landlord and returned to the townhome. The dark-haired guy said they were headed to the apartment. I asked if they'd be there in an hour. He said they would. I showed up at the apartment & they had parked the semi right inside the main drive to the building! I went to the apartment and noted a few things that had been brought in. Unfortunately, it didn't occur to me to inspect my belongs at the time, so I went back outside. Apparently, at some point, the guys attempted to move my sofa, but couldn't because "it was too long." Instead of telling me there was an issue or loading the sofa back onto the semi, they placed my sofa in a fire escape!!! I did not discover this until after they left! They left behind MANY of my belongings... ALL of my personal belongings (a lot!), a very cherished family photo album that held my only pics of my son & other family members, stereo system, unopened containers of arts & crafts supplies, trash bags, freezer bags, SOS pads, paper towels, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, aluminum foil, typing paper, computer paper, my cookbook collection (Joy of Cooking, BHG, 2 vegan books, Oprah & Rosie, thick/hardback cooking vegetables, Not Just Beans cookbook & menus, etc.), exercise equipment (5 pieces), vintage Bonkers! board game, vintage Othello board game, vintage Clue board game, Payday board game, Perfection board game, Connect Four board game, vintage chess set, UNO card game, Skip-Bo card game, 3 decks playing cards, 12-15 puzzles. Also missing was antique wood 2-shelf storage unit, table lamp with pewter base and modern maroon lampshade, clothing (much), shoes (8-10 pair), books (20+), Wolfgang Puck stainless steel large cooking pot, full/opened container of Folgers coffee, unopened bag sugar, son's clothing/shoes/trophies (5), many (8) storage container. Between 4-5 that afternoon, the dark-haired guy approached me & said they were going over on time & that if I wanted them to finish the job, I would have to call the person who was paying for my move & tell them they would have to o.k. them to charge her credit card $490 MORE!!!!! I said I was not calling her (so I could stress her out, too??!), so... what does this guy do? He goes behind my back, gets my friend's phone number & calls her, himself!!! He lied to her about how long they had been working, then turned around & lied to Chris (company owner), as well!!!!! All in all, they bilked her/credit card for $990.00, for a move from North Pkbg. to Vienna (not far from old Kmart). All that, after Chris promised it would not cost over $634.00. Their math, indeed, does not compute. While the other guy was shoving my loveseat through the doorway, he said something to t.v he dark-haired guy about not messing with it, because he "broke the frame." I used Accedia to move my family and I from our apartment to our house that we bought across town. They moved everything out of my apartment and had everything delivered and put in the appropriate room in less than half a day. The workers were very courteous and respectful. Everything was laid out in the contract so there were no surprises. I would absolutely use them again and I would recommend them to anyone. Their prices are way better than most other local moving companies. read more

Don't trust the quote. I contracted this company when I needed quick service with some items left behind. Everything went fine, at first. I got a quote for the hours they actually used. However the hourly rate was suddenly higher than quoted, they taxed me on things that shouldn't have been taxed and their 'math' skills on totaling the bill were mistakes in their favor. I tried to call to fix the problem but no return call. (I think they screen their calls as it always goes to voice mail first.) The final bill was 36% over the quote. I had to stop payment on the check and wait over a week and more calls before it was corrected. In all fairness, they did finally accept what I offered them which was slightly over their quote. read more

DO NOT HIRE. The worst experience with the worst workers. They don't even deserve one star. One of the workers took photos of our belongings on their truck, including pictures of snow tires that are missing. When we asked why they were never delivered, they blatantly lied to us and said that they never saw them, EVEN THOUGH IT WAS IN THE PHOTO THAT ONE OF THEIR WORKERS TOOK. On top of that, they said that one of the boxes "opened" and things "spilled out" and took photos of that. When we started unpacking, we found some of those "spilled" items shoved in a backpack. Here's the best part: a special edition Nintendo 3DS and a case with 18 games that were in that "spilled box" are also missing. These items appeared in another one of the pictures they sent, so they should've been among the other items that were stuffed in the backpack. Accedia also never delivered a stepladder that they ADMIT they forgot to unload. They even sent us a picture of the ladder hanging in their truck AS IF IT BELONGED TO THEM. We called the office for an entire week to speak to someone, but nobody answered and the voicemail box was always full. We called them using a different phone and the same voicemail was played, but someone called us back at that number within 5 minutes, because they saw a new number on their caller ID. So clearly, they're screening our calls and are refusing to take responsibility for their theft, actions, and shadiness. read more

Packing up all my items went well. The next day I was present when the truck was opened. My 55' inch tv was strapped to a table near the top of the truck with my kayak on top of the screen, no blankets covering the tv screen. When my tv was taken off the truck there was a message written in the dust "'blank' did it" (blank being one of the movers). Clearly none of the movers had confidence in the way my tv was packed and the screen was scratched. Throughout the day the process of moving all my items in became slower and slower. Then out of nowhere they were hustling pretty hard to get everything in. come to find out my time was up for moving and I wasn't being billed anymore. Makes it seem as if they were milking me for all the money they could and when they couldn't make anymore money they hurried up to finish the job. Ive called 2 times to talk to someone about this matter and no pick up or call back after I left a message. Would never recommend. read more

I write this review with reservations. The company reviewed is a moving enterprise and "they know where I live." I employed the individuals after seeing the organization's listing on the internet. I called and made reservations for my move. The gentleman required a deposit so "in good faith" I gave him credit card information. The date was set for three men at $134 per hour. The night before move day someone called and asked if they were packing and how many boxes were needed, my reply was that I had packed most and would pack the rest. I did mention the need for a couple of the hanging boxes for clothing. I have a witness to this exchange. Two men showed up on time the date of the move. I told them at the door, they were only to move the large items, living room furniture, dining room furniture, bedroom furniture and office equipment. They could move boxes I had already packed, if room allowed. The next time I saw the truck in was stuffed with my boxes, no furniture. I sought out the laborers and one was in my bra and panty drawer, they were dumping the entire contents of my closet into half filled boxes (they charge by the box, and space in truck). Next there seemed to be a "problem." Investigators from unknown agencies were at my home. No good explanation, confusion, confusion. One thing I overheard was the vehicle did not have insurance. They could deliver what was already loaded but no more. After the first delivery they were going to return to base and procure another truck to finish the job. Never saw them again! Later that day they used my credit card information to charge the card with an additional $1,137.56. With the $500 deposit, I had spent a total of $1637.56 for an unfinished job. I was left at my new location with china and no china cabinets, books with no bookshelves. I was still wearing a heart monitor after my last attack, the stress on this elderly woman was freighting. I was then, an old woman, depending on unhealthy friends to complete my move. My daughter's friend bought a dolly and rented a U-Haul to complete the move, this took over a week with volunteer labor and injuries. "Breach of Contract" is the legal term for what happened, but I have NO contract. I was asked to initial several paragraphs and sign and date, but I was not provided a copy of the document. Afterwards there were eleven fraudulent charges to my credit card totaling $3630.14. Do not give financial account information to this company! read more

Do not use this company! Because of the threat of flood, I had all my furnishings moved from the lower level of my home. Furniture was damaged, boxes were crushed and a nearly new chair damaged from mold and mildew. The owner said he would have the chair cleaned and get it back to me in a few days. After several weeks I called to see when he was going to return chair. He then told me when he went to pick chair up, it blew out the back of the truck. He did not even have the courtesy to call and tell me. I paid for climate controlled storage. Chair was only in storage for four months. The worst part, I was missing a number of items when everything was brought back in May. (To include one box that had wedding pictures). Movers wanted me to sign off that everything was there the minute the truck rolled in. When I refused, movers were upset with me. I had no idea when everything was sitting on the truck if everything was there. After speaking with owner, they did unload most of the truck and told me they wouldn't take the rest off until I signed their contract. At that point I told them to sit everything in the driveway and we would put it in the garage. Movers were very slow and I agree with another post they definitely milk the clock. And, they make it impossible to file a claim. All of this pain and aggravation cost me around $7000. I do not recommend this company! read more

A 3 BR move 4.4 miles from door to door, took over 10 hours. I had moved 90% of the small stuff myself the day before, so most of the move was for furniture. The movers moved very slowly and took from 8 a.m. to ~ 2:30 pm just to load the truck. Unloading went a little faster, but not much. At 6:30, we told them to just leave the remaining items in the garage and we would carry it to the appropriate place in the house and reassemble all of the furniture. I do not recommend. They charge by hour and have no incentive to not milk the clock. My move should have taken ~ 5 hours. Instead, I paid $1200+ to essentially, move myself. read more
