We are currently renting a townhome. The dishwasher has been secreting this white and black soggy substance after every single cycle since the day we moved in. I've cleaned the machine and ran a sanitize cycle multiple times to no avail. After experiencing some respiratory symptoms about a month ago, I decided to switch to washing our dishes by hand while we waited for our landlord to provide a resolution. His suggestion after almost month was to sanitize the dishwasher, but we recognized that this would only maintain the machine and not effectively eliminate the buildup. We were able to get an appointment scheduled for 3 days out with less than 30 minutes of interaction via text message. Our appointment was this morning and Jeremy texted me when he was 30 minutes out. He was communicative, prompt, and efficient. He was able to remove the dishwasher door and identify the area that was discharging this mysterious substance. He steam cleaned the area, tested the function of the dishwasher, and put the door back on. Unlike the other companies I reached out to, he did not charge a fee for a service call, and he gave me an estimate for what the most likely scenario was (igniter replacement). We recently hired Jeremy to take a look at a couple of broken appliances and were very pleased. He was polite, professional and very reasonably priced. The main issue that we had was a leaking washing machine. He was upfront about the fact that there was a good chance that it wouldn't be worth repairing and transparent with the cost of a taking a look at it. I also appreciate the fact that he only repairs appliances and doesn't sell them so there's no conflict of interest there. I contacted Jeremy at Accel because our Bosch dishwasher stopped working --- it appeared the start button was broken. Jeremy was able to come by a couple of days later and he fixed the problem. The start button was only stuck and he was able set it free once he opened up the panel. He only charged for the visit. I heard about Accel through a neighborhood facebook group that I'm a part of. As many do now, I look to others for recommendations and reviews of businesses, particularly when it's something i'm not familiar with or don't have experience with. Washer/dryer repair is on that list of things i'm not super knowledgeable about. I had initially called a different company when my stacked washer/dryer unit stopped working properly. I wasn't really happy with the 4 hour time window they gave me to show up, or the diagnostic fee, that would be on top of any repairs that might end up needing to be done. I saw a number of people in my neighborhood had used Accel and had great things to say about Jeremy and the services provided. I decided to give him a call. I was really happy when he said that he could come out that evening, which was great for me since I did not have to take time off work to be at home. Plus, he was right on time, which is always a bonus in my book. Jeremy quickly identified the problem and was able to fix it on the spot. I like that the diagnostic fee was waived if you use Accel for the repair, and also that the parts and labor are both warrantied for 90 days if anything should go wrong. Was pleasantly surprised at the overall cost as I was expecting to pay much more (i also, however, thought the problem was much larger than it was...so my expectations were low- haha!) Either way though, very pleased with the service and response time by Accel, and I felt very comfortable that they were knowledgeable and honest with me throughout the process.
