I would strongly DISCOURAGE anyone from using Landers Appliances for a new appliance purchase. They DO NOT stand behind the products they sell! They also WERE UNABLE TO FIX A NEW FRIDGE! Example: I recently purchased a brand new GE Cafe refrigerator from Landers -- all because they assured me that they inspect every fridge BEFORE it is delivered. But that wasn't the case. This fridge arrived DEFECTIVE. The techs confirmed it. It has had six (yes 6!) service visits to my home in the first month and it is still broken. Landers has assured me they would "advocate on my behalf with GE" -- but what they haven't done is remove this broken item and replace it with a brand new fridge. I purchased the item from Landers, NOT GE! In our experience, LANDERS DOES NOT STAND UP FOR THE CUSTOMER. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. NO return message from Andrew Brenton at Landers. Dino replaced the belt on my dryer and found a problem with the agitator on my washer. I am not sure that the drum doesn't have to be lifted to get out cat hair, but I will deal with that issue next time. Landers has always sent out good technicians each of the three times my machines have needed care in the last 20 years. The first time it was my fault. I kinked the dryer outtake hose. read more

This was fixing to be a one star review but the technician killed it and saved the review. Called Landers on Monday to get my dryer looked at as it was making some weird noises. Made an appointment for Friday. Came back early from vacation so I could get the dryer fixed. Friday morning the office calls to tell me my technician called out for a family issue, needless to say I was not happy. She called back to say they could send a different technician but I'd have a new window of 12-5. Ok. Technician showed up around 3:30 pm, named Billy. Very professional, got right to work, found the issue almost immediately, had it running again in no time. He also reattached my dryer vent as it kept falling off. Really nice guy, knows his stuff. Would definitely call this company again if I can guarantee that Billy will be my service tech. read more

I've used Landers Appliance Repair in the past, and they have always done a good job. However, my last repair job was a very disappointing experience. Our washing machine stopped draining, and we called them to fix it. The person that came to our home said it was a simple matter of replacing the water pump. $374 later he proclaimed it fixed. He said his credit card machine was not working, so I wrote him a check (BIG MISTAKE) I ran some clothes after he left to discover he did not fix it. I called the office and they said they were very busy, it would take another week to get a repair man back to my house. I asked for a senior tech, and they said they could in face come back on Friday. When they called on Friday to say the repair man was on his way, I asked about the senior tech. The woman on the phone said they had no note about that, and in fact I was getting the same man that failed to fix it on Wednesday. I was displeased, but they said that they had 2 senior repairmen standing by and our tech could just call them if he could not fix it. In short, he could not. Oh, he CLAIMED that he fixed it with no clothes in the wash, so I put 3 towels in and had him run a short cycle. Lo and behold, it did not drain. First he said 3 towels were too heavy. I told him that could not be the issue. Then he discovered that the machine would shut off with 7 minutes left, so the final spin cycle was not working. He called and apparently the senior level techs could not diagnose over the phone. He said that sometime next week one of the senior repair men would come out, maybe adjust the timing, maybe it was the mother board fault, etc. I told him to give me back my old water pump and reverse the change, since that was not the problem. He went out to his truck, and called me saying I would get a refund (I wish I didn't give them a check). I still have not received my refund. If I get it this week I will edit my review. read more

$500 later we have an oven that almost caught our dinner on fire. Tech put a part in we did not really need. We never received a call from the tech when they would arrive, never received a receipt for the work done both times. We now have a dangerous oven that is not functional. We have doubts the technician really had enough training working on gas ovens which could have resulted in a fire. This is considered Baltimores Best appliance repair company? This is scary To say the least. We will not use this company ever again and not sure we will ever get our money back which they guarantee your satisfaction or money back!!! We are not satisfied at all. Horrible experience all around. read more

Great company to work with. We had a broken water pump on a LG washing machine. Our appliance tech Dino helped diagnose and gave us the option on the repair or pause to replace the whole unit. He talked through with clarity the problem and the repair in full. We decided to repair and he did a great job with the work. The company let us know when he was on the way and great communication through. Highly recommended, we'll definitely use Landers again for future needs. read more
