However, I've seen the questions some customers present to the employees!!! It's nearly impossible to recommend ammo, holsters, etc. when a person isn't able to tell the employee what brand or caliber his gun is! I'm partial I guess because my husband is one of the employees! He & all the other employees and managers are very serious about their job because firearms are an extremely serious entity!!! There are tons of rules & regulations they are privy to unbeknownst to most customers. Of course SALES are important since that is the business they're in, but I'm very proud of the fact that these mature & highly intelligent gentlemen run a successful and very secure facility! Their track record along these lines speaks volumes in their defense!

They are very proud of this enormous store / restaurant / hotel and are happy to show it off. The place was originally built to be a concert venue / stadium for their basketball team. I am copying this part of the review from one I read and want to give credit to the author, Crystal G. "Johnny Morris, founder of Bass Pro shops, was considering buying the venue. Not sure what to do. He made a wager with his friend while fishing . If I catch a fish over 30 pounds I will buy the venue. Later that day he caught a fish more than 30 pounds. The deal was 'on' and the rest is as they say...history!" The place is just magnificent. The showpiece is the giant elevator that goes to the top. There is a cost for this... i12 for each adult. At the top of the pyramid is a breathtaking look out, spectacular restaurants and lodge. There are spectacular views of the Mississippi River, and all of Memphis. I walked around the giant store making sure I did not get lost and could get back to the bus. Along the way I stopped by the largest selection of fishing poles and reals I ever saw. The nice gentleman working the area showed some off and explained the benefits of them. It's one collection of items after another, candy, signs, clothing, boats, the list goes on and on... This place was amazing. I was happy to learn that they are building one close by me on Long Island. Should be a fun place to spend some time. If I make it back I would love to stay in the hotel. Everything in one place. Amazing shopping, restaurants, entertainment and lodging, right in the heart of 'everything Memphis.' We came to Richard's, I explained what properties I was looking for in a gun and he chose 3 of his top picks at the moment for me to look at and stated if I didn't like any of them, he would give me more options and if we ran out of options he had on hand, he would be more than happy to order more options for me. He made me feel valued and heard, which was more than I could ask for. We have used Richard's Armory for putting on a picatinny rail system on one of our rifles as well and he did a superb job. Overall, this is an excellent armory owned and ran by a very nice, respectful and knowledgeable man. I am forever grateful for my experience at Richard's years ago and will always recommend his shop.

I'd never ever go here for any needs, their prices are worse, their trade/buy prices from you to them are garbage, there is absolutely nothing redeemable about the place because the owner is too busy being a clown to act like an actual person instead of a goofy caricature. Not blaming the staff here, they just have no ability to do anything but sell you stuff, they aren't really personable, are unable to answer most questions, and generally I question their overall knowledge but that could be anywhere. There's a lot of competition that would be better to customers though, this place is right up there with Guns and Ammo on summer and their rep now which is infamous amongst locals. Everyone's heard of "Guns and Assholes" This place really used to be a whole lot different years back, but man is it just not an experience i'd recommend for anyone nowadays. Avoid it. We essentially knew nothing about archery and he explained a few things and prepped some lanes for us. There was a class being held there at the same time and the instructor seemed very nice, helpful and knowledgeable as well and offers lessons at this location. Prices were very fair. It was a lot of fun, and it showed me that I would enjoy just practicing archery and also like bow hunting later this year. Overall, a great experience today and we absolutely will be coming back, but this time to get a bow or get add ons for one. They also have a wide selection of different sorts of bows and crossbows, accessories and add ons and hunting clothing as well.
