Brush up on your lighting lingo and products because one of the women at the counter (short grey hair) is unable to adapt her communication to those of us who still think that light comes from bulbs. If being helpful is only answering questions with "yes," and "no," and customer service means simply staring you in the face, then this particular woman has nailed it. A shame for such a beautiful new store to have someone with such poor communication and customer service skills on staff. I took my business to Kansas Lighting instead. read more

Having visited lighting showrooms all over the country I can attest this is one of the nicest you'll ever experience. The customer service in this store is non-existent! I was ignored even after I stood at the desk where all the the staff was located. They just looked at me and didn't say hi or anything. I have been to this store several times over the years and this is always their 'mo'. This leads me to think this is how the owner conducts business. I spent a considerable amount of money purchasing light fixtures for a remodel and they act like they are doing you a favor. If you have another option for light fixtures I would encourage you to go there. I really can't say anything positive about this store. I would give it no stars!!!! read more

If you are looking for a great place to receive assistance choosing lighting for your home or business, this is NOT the place...we were in the store today to look for a lamp that was in their ad on Sunday. We stood in the store for over 10 minutes while three ladies were behind the counter. Each one of them looked at me and did not even bother to say Hi, or at the very least attemp to even smile and say they would be with us. Finally, one of the women asked the other one of she was free and the pointed to her and said 'over there'. They did not have the lamp that was advertised as the door buster and she showed us what she thought it might look like and went back and sat down behind the counter. I would not recommend this place to anyone, and am quite surprised that they are still in business. read more

The customer service with Accent Lighting Inc is POOR. It is true, it is non-existent. We as well was ignored when we visited the store, but I overlooked it and continued with my transaction. We chose this business to rewire and bring our fixtures up to code. The staff member took reviewed them and stated they could and would be able to do that and the job would be completed in 2-3 weeks. After week 3, I contacted the store. Got the run around and was told they couldn't find my fixtures. Eventually they located them and told me that hadn't been started. I asked for a phone call to discuss when they would be. Never received it and at week 8, I contacted the store again. Got the same story, they couldn't find them and they hadn't been touched. Then get told the staff who repairs had been gone for the last 3 weeks. hmmm. I asked if this is how they conduct business to include no communication with customers. The gal on the other end of the phone had NO response. I did request a phone call within 24 hours from the owner to discuss this. Within 20 minutes I had a return call, told this was the first he'd heard of this, and he began to tell me what junk my fixtures were and that they needed rewired. I tried to explain that was what I had employed them for, but was cut-off each time I tried to speak. In the end, he told me if I wanted to be upset with him and his staff then he didn't want my business or my money. Accent Lighting is a unique combination of really cool, sophisticated lighting along beside affordable, price-conscious fixtures that makes their selection better than any other store we have shopped. We do not live in the immediate area, but they were able to ship our purchase to us and everything arrived in perfect condition. We bought fixtures for our kitchen and dining room, but they have outdoor lighting too that we are considering once things warm up in the spring. Paul was very helpful during the whole process. I'm not very handy, but he helped me understand what we needed. I sensed that he was the owner. We will be back. read more
